I went with the P Series Vizio because it has a beautiful picture, when calibrated. Much better than the E or M series. Probably the best tv you can get for the money at that price range. TVs with similar specs in other major brands are more expensive, and to pay less you get a lower grade name tv. Smartcast is really good on it too! My only complaint is, unless you have Best Buy calibrate it for you, when you set it up you have to play with the settings a lot to get a good clear picture that is not too bright, blurry, dark, etc.

Went to best buy to look at purchasing a new tv,Visio is my favorite brand, looking through best buys displays and came across the 55" 4k smart tv and it had a vibrant picture display long story short I found a best buy associate and he helped me with the purchase I also bought a visio 5.1 surround sound wireless which is also awesome, so far I am very satisfied with my entertainment center,I came back a few weeks later and purchased a 28 cubic refrigerator, very good customer service at the Terre Haute store.

At the time of buying this tv, i was coming from a 2008 Magnavox 1080p that has actually stood up quite well over ten years. That being said, the Dolby Vision on this is amazing. The UI is a little slow, but it’s not a dealbreaker by any means. If you want an extremely nice, bezzeless screen without hitting 1K, at which point your crossing into OLED territory, this is the TV for you. My buddy has the Samsung equivalent to this, the NU8000 and according to him the picture quality is better on the vizio, and he’s not the kinda guy to admit that a product other than his is the better one. 9/10; i do believe nothing is perfect. This case being the UI, which, again, is a minuscule deterrent. Would absolutely recommend.

Super bright and great HDR! This Vizio provides excellent value for its price in the 55” range. While pps like Netflix and Hulu come pre-installed, the Smartcast TV apps are extremely easy to use and they work with most iPhone or Android model phones.

I have had this TV for a year now with one replacement, the colors are excellent and the screen is one of the brighter ones I have seen on an LCD but you have to deal with the dreaded panel lottery with this model I started to experience problems with the FALD system where parts of the screen would be dark towards the bottom during content playback but other than that issue it is an excellent tv for gaming and watching content with HDR

This TV was highly recommended by the Best Buy staff for my price range. We are satisfied with the TV; however, it seems the very high quality viewings that you see on the TV's in the stores are never what you see with local channels or movies at your house. Also, looking at this TV from the extreme side, the picture is faded, but from any front view, it is a great picture. Good sound with this TV...better sound than I've ever had with any TV.

I had to have my first delivered set returned after a couple of months due to dark "islands" in the backlight/background. Brand new replacement has held up well... though I have a friend with the very same set who had a logic board failure that needed warranty servicing too. These are decent televisions with good backlighting but are not the most durable or reliable products. You need to check things out.

I have a 10x10 room and everyone said this would be a great size. The first day i thought omg this is overkill. I love that i can use alexa along with my tv. The colors are great. The colors are great. Maybe i won the panel lottery but its great

Blacks are amazing. Overall picture is very good. Really doesn't get as bright as I would like, but unlike the TCL 615 that I returned after only having it for a week and chose this one, at least it is still functioning correctly. I really haven't tried the "Smart" functionality on the TV. I've had a 70" Vizio for a bit over a year, and know from the Viziocast on it that I'm better off just using an external streaming device. Good, reliable TV.

Picked this TV up black Friday week when it was $150 off. I use it in a small 12 x 14 room with no windows. Have the Xbox One X hooked up to it with Calibrated dark picture mode and low input lag setting turned on (makes a difference). Incredible picture, blacks are almost OLED quality. Been using for a few weeks now and nothing bad to report. I think it would be difficult to find much better options for 4k gaming. Regular TV at 1080i is solid as well. Only 4K content outside of Xbox I've used was from YouTube over WiFi. Was blown away at that as well. Only negative Mark I'd give it is the viewing angles which aren't great, picture noticeably washes out from the side. I knew that going in and was fine with it since I really only look at it from straight on. Other than that, beautiful set at a good price.

I usually purchase Sony but after reading the reviews at rtings.com I felt the Vizio P55 would be a great purchase. The tv has a fantastic picture. My only complaint is dark scenes are too dark. I have tried to calibrate it to make them lighter but then it tends to wash out the brighter scenes.

It's not OLED, but it comes close! The colors are bright and vibrant and with 1000 nits, its certified to be HDR10 and Dolby Vision compliant, which should be the standard.

Saw this recommended by The WireCutter and decided it was time to upgrade to a smart TV. It's lived up to its reputation and expectations. Easy setup, excellent picture, great sound with our Vizio soundbar. We're very happy.

This is my first 4k HDR TV. I wanted to upgrade to a 55 inch and be able to watch 4k movies and play hdr games so this has satisfied me in that way. However the blooming is not great as the 55inch has less FALD than the 65 unfortunately. That and a few firmware issues are my only regrets.

This TV has great colors, great blacks and overall very good picture quality. The only reason I gave it 4 stars is because the 55" has far fewer local dimming zones than the 65" 56 instead of 110. The apps could also be a bit better. No updated Hulu App for Hulu live TV, but that's Hulu's problem. Overall I prefer a separate box for Apps because they tend to have much better specs, therefore, much zippier.

Great for video games as it has low input lag and great for movies for a wide range of colors and deep blacks. HDR capable of you have the consoles and gear! Cheaper than buying an expensive Sony, LG or Samsung.
