I owned an LG 49Nano85UNA for several weeks, but several short comings of the display made me return and resume my search. On paper it had everything a next gen gamer would want... 1:4k@120, check 2:HDMI 2.1 support, check 3:HDR/Dolby vision support, check 4: Local dimming backlight to improve contrast and HDR performance, check. Yet it was the last part that was the reason for returning it. Using an IPS panel with a poorly implemented local dimming feature, HDR was unusable. So to my surprise when I hopped on Best Buy’s website I found that the 55” Vizio OLED was being sold at an astonishing $400 off. Which in my case put it just a couple hundred above what I had paid for the LG, so it was a no brainer. As a plasma enthusiast I have been looking for a display that would fill the void left by the long gone tech. At current asking price the Vizio OLED is one of the best deals in home theater and gaming displays. As the year ends and we’re introduced to the next generation of gaming hardware on both the PC and Console front, I was looking for the perfect companion to take advantage of the horse power. After several hours of torture test, I have not been disappointed. From the ray trace cityscape of Spider-man to the post apocalyptic wasteland of The last of us: Part 2 I have been blown away by the picture and performance. I am seeing details in games that weren’t as noticeable as before on my previous LG display. The one thing that should be mentioned is the use of the 4k@120 via HDMI 2.1. The Vizio supports this new gen of HDMI, but currently the PS5/Xbox series X aren’t supported or in the case of the Series X are having issues, Vizio will be releasing an update in the very near future that will allow use of these ports (HDMI 2&3). The display is mainly used for gaming and between the near instantaneous pixel response time, eliminating nearly all motion blur to the relatively low input lag (18-20ms) this set is a gamers dream. Once full VRR is implemented on the set input lag will likely be further improved. In the case of Sony, they’re working on the update for the PS5. I am primarily a gamer and my display seldom see use for movies, but the Vizio OLED has made me watch more films in the last few days than in the last decade. It is now my wife’s preferred display. From the inky black, the perfect motion and amazing HDR reproduction she’s now in love. Since Best Buy doesn’t currently offer editing reviews this is where I leave you. This has been my hands on review after a week of use, so look in the comments for updates if interested. Side note: constructing the stand is fairly straight forward, but be warned the thick plastic of the rear leg is very sharp. If not careful it can result in minor cuts.

Great Screen with a Laggy UI

A quick overview: This TV looks great. It's my first OLED TV and it delivers basically what you want. It uses the same screen as the LG TVs, and that's what you get. The firmware has gotten better (how the TV displays an image) and the software is fine. The biggest issue is the TVs processor, it's too slow to handle most of the Smart TV capabilities (built-in Chromecast) you expect to just work. Pros: LG Screen Perfect blacks Good amount of settings to tune/calibrate the TV Multiple presets that you can change Dolby Vision and HDR10+ 4 HDMI 2.1 ports Optical Audio port Good brightness (3 settings) Price 120hz and a Game Mode Cons: Slow and Laggy UI (due to slower processor) Vizio slow to make updates to firmware Some oddities when supposed to be displaying nothing Space on the Cable Management channels At the time of this review, I've owned this for about 18 months and have had a pretty good experience. I don't game on this, so I can't comment on if it's good or not, but there is a game mode and does support 120hz. I've watched content via 4k Blu-Rays (on Xbox One S), streaming via the built-in Chromecast, and streaming via a Roku 2 and more recently a Roku Ultra. Blu-Rays look great, if they support HDR or Dolby Vision it looks incredible. My first watch was Interstellar and man, that looks fantastic compared to anything I've watched it on before. Standard Blu-Rays look good as well, no issues there. Streaming via the built-in Chromecast is generally not great, but not horrible. It can get you by if you have nothing else, but if you are watching HDR, Dolby Vision, or 4k content, you'll be in for a bad viewing. The processor this TV uses is definitely where they cut costs and it shows. Apps will lock up and have to be restarted, video will freeze for a few seconds, random pixelation when the picture changes, blue ghosting lines appear randomly, picture gets noisy, etc... I dealt with it for a long time before finally upgrading to the Roku Ultra which solved everything I just mentioned. Letting something dedicated process everything while letting the TV just display is perfect. At the time of purchase this was by far the cheapest 55" OLED TV on the market. Cutting costs on the processor shows a lot, but if you have something dedicated like the Roku Ultra, AppleTV, Nvidia Shield, etc., you shouldn't really have an issue. I mainly watch a slightly lit room (mid-day with blinds shut) or at night when it's completely dark, I've had NO issues with brightness on my TV, even when there is a decent amount of natural light coming into the room. Audio, I never get whey people complain about TV speakers, especially for higher end TVs. If you're willing to dole out $1k+ on a TV, get a soundbar at least. I've got LG soundbar coupled with this. TV speakers always suck. Overall, I can recommend this TV if the LG's or Sony's or Samsung's now are out of budget/range. But only if you also get a dedicated streaming device, as the built-in chromecast is just too laggy due to the processor. I've heard some people say VRR is supposed to be supported for the PS5, but as I don't plan on gaming on this, I haven't looked into it. The display is great, colors are awesome, blacks are perfect, good amount of settings, 4 HDMI 2.1 ports, bad processor... This definitely gets the job done and OLED is unmatched.

I was trying to get an oled tv since 2018 but the prices were just too high to justify the difference with a good led. Luckily Vizio came in with this little jewl at a good price, and even better, it went on sale for a thousand bucks then I just pushed the trigger. I was looking for a TV for my new generation console and this is the most affordable option even if you compare it with the expensive oleds. The image is great, the contrast is perfect and rocks for video gaming. As most modern TVs audio is not so good but is better than my other Vizio series p. The smart features in it are not my favorite option but none of the current smart TV os are of my taste except for Android tv then I connected my shield to it and that's just perfect.

Let me preface my review by saying that I have never been as frustrated with the performance of a TV as I was with the Vizio OLED. Sure, the picture is remarkable: perfect blacks, decent HDR that includes DV and HDR10+ (gets fairly bright at 650 nits with Peak Luminance set on High if I'm not mistaken), and 120hz refresh rate. Buying a TV with these specs at $999 was a no-brainer, so I decided to take a chance on it, particularly since the LG CX OLED costs an extra $500. Well, as soon as I assembled it, any content I played came with caveats. For reference, the streaming on the TV's native apps looked and sounded great, but since the Smartcast is limited in its app selection, I decided to stream all content on my Nvidia Shield TV 2019. The only problem with that was the significant audio delay on nearly everything I played. My Nvidia is set to 24hz to match the original frame rate of films and TV shows. When I set the diaplay on the Shield to 60hz, there was no delay, but why would I want to watch my content with a 3:2 pulldown that causes judder? As a result, I messed with the audio settings extensively on both the Shield and the TV, and after hours of tinkering, I finally found something that worked: Enable Game Low latency mode on the Vizio and disable Film Mode. However, while that worked for (some) SDR content, any HDR content still played with an audio delay. Furthermore, each app presented a new set of challenges as the audio delay varied with different content, making any viewing experience a nightmare. Not once did my old TV (Hisense H8F) struggle with A/V sync, but for some reason, the Vizio Oled and my Shield were not compatible whatsoever when playing content in it's original frame rate. Playing 4K blu-rays on this TV looked amazing, but also came with an audio delay, though not as egregious as the Shield. I spent hours messing with settings seeking every conceivable solution, on several occasions even calling Vizio support for assistance, but ultimately I decided the TV wasn't worth all the frustration and returned it. The Geek Squad employee at the store suggested it might be an issue caused by the soundbar. I own a Vizio SB36512-F6 that worked perfectly on my Hisense H8F when playing 24p content, so the idea that a Vizio soundbar wouldn't be compatible with a Vizio TV is mind-boggling. One final note: the Vizio Oled reset my preferred settings every single time I changed the source on the TV. And while that's more of a nuisance than anything else, not having the option to save my audio/video presets is an issue that a TV of this price range just shouldn't have. Amazing picture aside, this TV is riddled with bugs that need to be addressed. I tried everything to fix the audio delay because the price for this TV can't be beat, but the frustration just wasn't worth it in the end. What a massive disappointment this TV turned out to be. Returned and exchanged for a LG CX (cannot compare with LG since I haven't received it yet).

A great TV hamstrung by jank software

So first thing is first, the picture on this TV uses the same glass as LG and is beautiful. No problems with actual picture quality. The software, particularly the CEC and connection software, is straight trash though. Any new connection will lack sound unless I discover devices in the CEC menu and reboot the TV. They advertise VRR but it’s not implemented yet (supposedly will be patched in). The EDID it sends to a PC disabled PC 5.1 surround sound because it thinks the TV can’t do 5.1 pass through (which it can and works when the sound works). Vizio is notorious for janky software. SmartCast is fine for a smart TV interface, like the tv software it’s a bit janky though. The one positive over the LG is it supports airplay for iOS and Chromecast out the box while the LG, or at least my B7, has jank software support for casting. A great TV that will probably go toe to toe with LG OLEDs once Vizio actually updates it to its full potential (hopefully after investing in a better QA department).

Excellent TV, Compatibility Issues with Xbox One X

Overall, This an amazing OLED TV with excellent picture quality and performance and coming in at a very competitive price. However, as of now there is a compatibility issue with Xbox One X while using VRR. After doing extensive tests and troubleshooting I have determined that the issue is the current Vizio firmware. While using the VRR feature on Xbox One X it causes the screen to flicker, turn on and off, and go ballistic. I contacted Vizio with my finding's and they are actively working on a firmware update to fix this issue. Even with VRR turned off I'm still impressed with the overall gaming performance that this TV provides especially the HDR performance. The HDR performance is excellent and is arguably the best in the industry. Freesync is still enabled with VRR turned off and it works wonders with smoothing out frame-rate issues. As an early adopter of this TV I feel like I am beta testing it for Vizio. I'm sure these issues will be fixed soon as they are advertising this TV as a gaming panel. I would still recommend this panel to fellow gamers.

Let me start by saying that the picture quality on my set is amazing. HDR and Dolby Vision content look great. I primarily use it in the bedroom for streaming and gaming and I feel like the size 55in is perfect for a bedroom. If you want it for the family room I’d say opt for the 65in. I honestly can’t say enough about the picture quality I am very pleased all content looks great. Now for the cons. Built in speakers are okay voices can sometimes get drowned out I would recommend investing in a sound bar. 4K 120fps works but unfortunately VRR is still broken Vizio still hasn’t released an update with a fix. Website states *coming soon. Not sure when that will be working. Tv is glitchy if you’re not tech savvy I would say skip this one. You will have to do a lot of rebooting this TV. I sometimes lose signal for my Xbox series X and a quick switch between the HDMI inputs fixes it by why does it lose signal in the first place ?? If you can live with the occasional glitches then it’s a great choice the price is right you get a lot of bang for your buck. If Vizio would have worked out the glitches and had VRR working this TV would be #1 for sure.

This is an example of you get what you pay for. The 5 stars is based on the features and image quality in relation to THE PRICE. This is an OLED so you're going to get all of the positive (and small negatives) you get from any OLED. Vizio isn't a Sony or LG, although the panels come from the same factory, but again you're not paying that LG or Sony price. The LG get's close but still a few hundred more and this one will most likely drop a few hundred by the black Friday, leaving the LG in the dust. To anyone that's not a videophile this TV will be jaw dropping. Just make a few mods, turn on judder control a tad and enjoy the ride. Its not perfect at 0%-4% grey levels however mine appears to be very good and uniform even at those hard to pass levels. Although, even Sony and LG doesn't ship every panel to 100% videophile expectations. Great TV for the price and has all the next gen inputs/features.

I returned my Sony A8H due to the lack of 2.1 hdmi support in exchange for this TV. Picture quality out of the box is a 3 out of 5(especially directly comparing it to the A8H) . After calibrating it I give it a 5. To me I believe that out of the box vizio has the brightness cranked up to match what Sony and LG have on display next to it in the store(they don't want potential buyers thinking the TV is dim). This causes some serious bleeding of color and messes with the crisp potential this panel has. LG is the producer of the oled itself for all three companies so I new it had potential to be on par with the CX. The biggest difference between the CX/A8H and this Vizio is easily the processor quality. If you plan to depend on the smart tv capabilities for entertainment then understand you will be waiting for apps to load and periodically having to reboot the tv through the menu(especially when an app just stops working) if you are using a cable box or gaming system for your entertainment then it shouldn't matter. (No exaggeration, I went into this tv knowing the processor has had lots of complaints, if I did not know that and I spent full price on this TV. I would of thought I got a defective model with how unpolished this products firmware is) i picked this tv up for 900 on sale. If I spent full price on this product then I would be disappointed in the uneven alignment of the cable management panel covers, but I do love the designed cable management compartments and included tv stand. Overall is a good looking TV in my living room. As for my 2.1 hdmi experience, I am not using it right now with the next gen xbox/playstation(can't report on if the VRR 120hz has been fixed or not). I have it instead hooked up with a rtx 3080. I had no issues setting my display to 4k 120 hz on my PC. This tv does not have official g-sync but does have freesync. So through the nvidia control panel I was able to enable VRR or nvidias g-sync(had some weird issues while doing this and ended up rebooting the tv through the remote menu button), but it does work! I have very much been enjoying my video games at 120 fps in true 4k. Picture and image quality is incredible on this panel with gaming. I could not see a difference between the A8H besides the noticibly higher refresh rate and fps. I was happy with the input lag as well. When playing call of duty online. Nvidia metric was reporting an input lag of 14-19 ms. Compared to my gaming monitors 4-9. I have zero complaints with the tv as a gaming TV. I hope Vizio gets this thing polished through firmware updates so next gen consoles can enjoy the tech that's there. As well as cleaning up the overall firmware. If money doesn't matter, and Cinema is most important to you, go with a sony or LG. If your like me, and prioritize gaming, this TV is an incredible bang for the buck. I got to save $400 compared to the competition, and I get hdmi 2.1 support on the same oled panel I previously purchased. All I need to "deal with" is the processor and a slightly dimmer picture. (Something my eyes have already adjusted to after a few hours and I don't notice.) The firmware should improve through updates, this is an opportunity to earn/lose lifetime customers for vizio as they enter into a premium OLED TV space (there's a good chance this products firmware was not polished due to covid-19 and the company wanting to get a product out with hardware that could support the next gen systems they projected would be pushing holiday sales. If this is the case, then I'm hoping for Vizio's software team to update this new TV's firmware into the proper polished consumer grade product I'm used to vizio producing) I picked up this tv on the 23rd of Nov 2020.

I purchased this TV to go with my PS5 and Xbox series s to take advantage of its gaming features. I was very excited for this TV because I actually really like vizio TVs and every TV in my house or that I have purchased in the past years have been vizio and I am always more than satisfied with them. Unfortunately that is not the case with this TV. The picture quality looks amazing and is very nice and 120hz is amazing especially on call of duty. But when using hdmi2.1 on the ps5 and xbox the screen will sometimes just go black and u either have to switch to hdmi1.4 or switch hdmi ports. If you use the vrr setting on xbox and try and play a game it will just start flickering and won't work. Also the TV doesn't want to turn back on half of the time and u would have to unplugg and re-plug it in. From my research this is sopose to be a software issue with this TV and sopose to be getting fixed eventually. I thought this update was already out for the TV and it was working now but that was not the case. If u decide to purchase this TV for gaming just research if these issues are fixed first. I got a different TV witch is much better im sure if ur looking for a new gaming TV u can guess the one I'm talking about its much better.

the tv works very great. honestly alot mixed reviews is from buying first generation models and this oled was vizio first attempt at oled. i played smartly and decided wait a year and within year they recently updated all tvs to fix issues such as vrr at 120. im gamer so immediately tested it and works at 120 at 4k with hdr 10. witg dolby vision still limited to 60. hopefully with future update that will be fixed. as far as picture i was amzed and the pop in colors. i had mini led from tcl which is very very good picture but oled just sharper and more vibrant. i used following settings to calibrate picture (cal dark, tone mapping 100, brightness 55, contrast 51, color 52 and all advanced setting set on low except for luminance which cranked to 100). these tv are perfect for bedroom. HDR/uhd movies look great on this tv. gaming and playing forza horizon 5 was amazing sharp and detailed, I like tv soo mich i bought two more for my bedrooms. though i admit oled tv dont get bright enough for living rooms so i will be sticking with mini led for that until technology advances enough to fix that issue. black are very detailed. The OS system im not a big fan of though it is functional but just too much as always buy roku streaming stick if tv does not come with roku. I had for about month now and will update reviews 6 months. but overall very happy and as side note two first hdtv were vixio boguht in 2013/2014 and both are still working. also the only issue i found with the tv was soundbar issue as my tcl soundbar recognized at first but then stop working; after hard reset where unplugged all hdmi inputs and put them in one by one starting with sound bar first fixed the issue. i dont have lg to compare the picture to lg as this first oled but i imagine since panels being manufactured by lg there cant be too much of difference but only thing imo that lg has is slight better os system if dont wanna but roky stream stick and for gamers i beleive suppports 120 with dolby vision

The HDR on here is the best I have ever seen. I have a c9 and had a cx but the c9 is much brighter then the cx and i returned it. This tv picture is just something else. The judder and stutter is there obviouslt with motion process off. but that with 24 hz movies. most new movies with 4k dont play 24hz. so there is no stutter or judder. But if you do watch old movies then just set the judder or studder depending if it above 60 hz or below 30. to a level 5 and it goes away. give some soap but it very smooth. as smooth as the Sony. The crushing on this is what OLEDS do....... that the issue with them. it not any worst then my c9 .... the vizio has better color so there prob less crushing... but yes there is just like any OLED. this PANEL is made by LG So when you complain about black crushing... then you know nothing about OLEDs. The gaming is very nice on this, I have 2080 ti and played rdr2 1440p 120 hz... cant do 4k because the 2080 ti hdmi is 2.0 not 2.1. so i need a Display port to get my full... But this tv does not have DP. so I am getting the 3080. But in all. this tv ATM is the best gaming OLED. it HDMI2.1 is full 48g vrs LG 40g. and the picture is way better for some reason the HDR in games is breath taking.

The last TV I've purchased was an LG 47LH55 about 10 years ago. I have a LG UK6090 that I got for free for upgrading my phone almost 3 years ago. Following threads on AVS forums & watching YT channels like Rtings have taught me a lot & has also gave me FOMO, which I got over & pulled the trigger 3 Mondays ago. I honestly was going to wait to see what was coming out in 2021, but a 55" Oled for $900 was too good to pass up. I figured I didn't need four 2.1 HDMI ports since the only device I own using that tech was my PS5 &. Also issues many discussed in forums sounded like things that could addressed through firmware updates. After three weeks I'm overall happy with my purchase except for a couple of things. I appear to have blooming but I also read that some people are more sensitive to it. I had Lasik a couple of years ago so that could be it. For example, when the TV cuts on, the is a lot of light around the Vizio sign. I haven't had the TV calibrated yet, but I love the picture I get for the most part. I haven't downloaded any of the files to test blooming, crushed blacks, etc but I did test through YT videos & besides the blooming, I have no issues. I also haven't done anything to address the blooming either. I watched a star field video I noticed "clouding" I also a video called "Test Your TV Picture Quality - The Ultimate Test" & think the TV did poorly, but honestly I don't know what I'm looking for & watching compressed videos on YT probably isn't helping. The TV is BRIGHT to me. When watching Avengers Infinity War certain scenes kind of gives me discomfort because of the brightness & it's not because the TV screen is bright, colors POP like nothing I've seen before. Other movies like Aquaman, BvS, 1917, Alita: Battle Angel, Valerian, The Fifth Element and The Last Jedi look fantastic to me. Mind you I'm no expert & there could be issues I'm not seeing, but I love the picture. There could be black crush I'm not seeing but I don't think so. I'm trying to learn how to spot black crush as well as banding & other stuff ) Also, I was watching The Gentleman on cable & I noticed distortion in blacks in some scenes (actually cable looks terrible overall) so I popped in the 4K disc & didn't notice the same issues. I used a UB820 4K player. To be clear I watched all of the above movies when the living room was pitched black. That being said even daytime viewing is great. I have a window about 10 feet to the left of the TV & another 12 feet directly facing the screen & unless the TV screen is off or black there is usually no reflection. There is also a light in the ceiling right in the middle of the room. The Mrs likes to watch TV with the shades drawn & the light on, especially when we're watching scary movies & this TV has handled reflections like a champ. Also, off angle watching is like sitting right in front of the screen. Besides not being able to use the 2nd or 3rd port correctly, no issues with the PS5. I've also had no issues with Smartcast. I haven't had to reset or unplug the TV. I haven't noticed any motion issues & I watch RedZone every Sunday. When watching chapter 10 of The Mandalorian, when they first go to space there were no issues with blurry stars, which I saw when I watched it at a friends house, if that matters to anyone. With all that said, I think the TV may be going back before the extended return date as I do have QoL issues. The messed up thing is these issues don't really affect me, they affect the Mrs and I hate that she had a better experience with the LG UK6090. For example when using the Harmony remote, HDMI switching does not work when switching activities. I've found a work around (devices, Vizio TV, input) but the Mrs just wants it to work. Same with volume, for some reason, the soundbar hasn't been responding to the Harmony remote so I'm controlling volume through the TV. That means in order to control the surround speaker you have to go through devices again, where before I assigned the + & - buttons to control the those speakers. TV only turns on when using "Smart TV" option" when using the Harmony remote. Google Assistant doesn't turn on the TV either & when "turning off the livingroom" Assistant turns off the TV but says "sorry the TV is already off" I'm pretty sure integration with the Assistant is something I can fix. This could just be a handshake issue with Harmony. If you are just using the remote that came with the tv there shouldn't be any issues. Like I said, things I can live with, but The Mrs, I don't know. If I can get the blooming right & if the Mrs is willing to relearn certain aspects with the Harmony remote then this could be a keeper.

The picture quality on this tv is unreal. Deep blacks and super vivid colors. QLED quality brightness. Almost to the point you'd wonder if you might just get burn in. I've had multiple 8+ hour gaming sessions on this tv. With the pixel shift and sleep mode activated, I haven't had any issues with what would be any burn in. So the tv has eARC features and I have a soundbar that has ARC features on it. The soundbar detects when the tv is on and when either my xbox one S or ps4 pro is turned on too. only need one remote to deal with the volume or tv functionality. The TV's User Interface seemed pretty snappy and easy to use, but I mainly use my consoles for watching apps on. only issue with the tv and soundbar combo is when I'm on my xbox, if I'm using whatever app or playing whatever game, then switch to netflix the sound turns off. I then switch inputs and then put it back and the volume is there. For as thin as this tv is it seems to be very sturdy. the screen doesn't seem to wobble/bend when moving it around. The big base stand is most definitely different than the prop up legs I'm used to but is very cool. If you've owned a vizio tv you might be used to the back plug in functions. HDMI ports. On the back the tv indents an inch or so and then you plug your cords up into that indention. If you ever have to move cords around, its kind of hard to plugin without having the tv completely turned around. Overall I find this tv to be pretty amazing. A few minor issues but nothing that would stop me from buying this again.

This is is my 1st OLED. I've had Vizios for years and loved their FALD solution on their LEDs. My 2016 P50C1 died, so I needed a new set in time for the Xbox Series X. Coming with hdmi 2.1, VRR, auto game mode etc...., it was a no brainer. And the $100 off got me to the store immediately. Be careful while unpacking and attaching the stand, follow directions on where to put your hands on the panel itself up top. In the last week, Vizio has released 2 firmware updates that fixed VRR and the raised blacks. Now the blacks are spot on! I don't see the point in bashing things like the built in speakers. If you expect any tv nowadays to blast loud clean sound into your room, you are dazed and confused. It has the normal burn in preventions, just be aware of the slight risk of said issue. I played some Gears 5 and DOOM Eternal on the Scorpio/One X, and wow. They looked like different games on this set. Note: This tv does NOT crush blacks like the LG and Sony do. Check youtube for proof. It shows all shades of black/dark grey. Not bad for a very affordable, 1st attempt at an OLED! Shadow detail is phenomenal. This is THE Best HDR I have ever seen. It is the ONLY set in the U.S. that supports HDR10, HDR10+, HLG & Dolby Vision hdr formats. That alone is a reason to nab this set. HDR Movies on Netflix and Amazon look amazing. Smartcast is MUCH improved over previous years. In regards to panel lottery, most of us are getting panels that are near perfect. I have no DSE(dirty screen effect), no banding. It's incredible to see what they did with their 1st OLED. I'll use this for a cpl years and definitely get another Vizio when it's time to upgrade. Huge Thumbs Up for this tv!

Incredible picture quality, but buggy software. Buy an apple TV or other streaming stick in order to make it a seamless experience.

Just beautiful. I have this paired with an AppleTV 4K and the quality is astounding. The best demo is to bring up an episode of the Mandalorian, it’s gorgeous. Blacks are so black and 4K/HDR contest is so crisp. As far as my set up I have zero complaints - with CEC, I don’t even use the Vizio remote. When I turn on my AppleTV it turns on the Vizio, and reverse when I put it to sleep. Slick. Built in speakers could be better but I think most people buying this TV plan to get a sound bar or other speaker set up anyways.

Excellent picture quality! Buggy software. Still has issues with 120hz 4K ports. Sometimes it won’t power on without unplugging the cord from the wall. Constantly resets to eco mode making casting or using airplay useless unless you power on the tv first. If you can live with these quirks it’s still by far best quality picture on a tv I have ever seen. I got on a sale for 799. If I paid full price the buggy software would have made me return it.
