Like the tv, but I'm going to return it for a different one. The smell of burning electronics is getting to me still strong on the 25th shows no signs of letting up. Hard to find a tv that doesn't have this issue. recommended if new one doesn't have the same issue.

Posted .Hello john, new televisions may produce an unusual smell or odor when first turned on. This is due in part to the manufacturing process of components. Some of the electronic components are "coated" to prevent corrosion during their journey from the manufacturer to the home. When those components heat up for the first couple of times, depending on how long you leave the device on, an odor can occur. This smell is not harmful to your health and it will dissipate usually between 10 days and 2 weeks and not return. This is normal and occurs with virtually all consumer electronics.

Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I replaced a Sony TV with this Vizio and all those pictures not even the quality of the of the Sony it was cheap and that's what I needed at the time. After having the TV for 2 years I have a 3/8 inch black line that has appeared right in the middle of screen from bottom top. So, that cheap TV was not such a smart choice. The black line is a KILLER, now I need to get another TV. Lesson learned... Don't buy cheap crap.

That is common in TV's these days because they are trying to meet price points and speakers are what they spend less on. Saying that, It works great!
