I was in the market for a 55" to 60" TV to replace on old rear projection Sony in my living room. As I normally do I searched the internet, made several trips to Best Buy to look at TVs, and looked at the AVS Forum before I made a choice. I really wanted to buy a "future proof" TV even though though I am shopping for a "budget" level. That would mean 4K resolution and HDR capabilities. I quickly discovered that only one TV at this budget price point even claims to have HDR (Hisense H8C). However, with a little investigating I discovered that it only displays HDR via a USB port. The built in streaming apps don't even support it, nor does HDMI. Supposedly that's coming via a firmware update, but it remains to be seen. I actually considered the new Vizio M series. However, it has no built in TV tuner and I am a cord cutter who still watches locals over the air. I also was not sold on the casting tablet as the sole means of operating the TV. In the end, I decided that the Vizio D58u-D3 was the best value choice for me. It does NOT have HDR capabilities. However here's what it does have: - 4K resolution - Nice selection of built in Apps, including 4K Netflix - 58" screen, 3" more than the more typical 55" - Very good input lag for gamers - Good color and contrast for a budget priced TV - Built in HDTV tuner, unlike other 2016 Vizio sets - bought on sale at a great price Overall, I am very pleased with my purchase. It may not be completely "future proof", but it is a tremendous value purchase.

I havent worked out all the kinks yet. First of all, it said all parts were included, yet it lacked the proper remote control. I was granted a universal remote which did not have the Vizio button which brings you to the app "page." I got my own compatable Vizio remote control and like i mentioned, i am still working on learning all the functions, but so far, i have not found a way to download my own apps. If this is not possible, it does not do what i had hoped for most of all, but i am still satisfied with my purchase. The picture is great and i havent had any problems with wireless connectivity or anything i have tried to do with it.

Enjoying my 4K TV. Of course the cable box doesn't do 4K and this TV does not have an SD card so I haven't figured out to get my gopro 4K video onto the TV, but it has an amazing amazing picture. Even normal TV now is so much better. We bought this TV on sale. The BB Salesperson did not even put this TV into the running for us, he was pushing us toward two other TV's. My nephew spotted it on the way in and this TV was larger than the other two for the same price. I am really happy with the purchase and I'm really happy with the 24 months no interest!

Bought this when the hubbys 3-d tv lost all picture. It is fantasatic. The apps that it has a great and it really looks like I could reach out and touch the people on the screen.

I am a stingy reviewer. I do not hand out 5 stars frivolously. I have used this TV for about 3 weeks. Pros: (1) Unbelievable picture. 4K UHD is amazing and it makes 1080 look even crisper. (2) Great price at $750. I was concerned about buying Vizio as my previous TV was Sony. Saved a few to several hundred dollars and am pleased with the overall quality. (3) Sound quality is solid. Was concerned because I previously had a 5.1 surround sound system in my old home. New home has a large open family room connected to open kitchen. Sound is a nonissue. Can clearly hear TV from FR to kitchen without surround sound. There is really no need for me to purchase a sound bar or system. Cons: There are few. (1) Darker than desired picture out of the box. Adjusted the brightness level and all is well. (2) Have noticed the picture darkens slightly when volume is adjusted. It does not get darker and darker as you adjust volume. It dims once when volume is adjusted but only temporally. Brightness seems to return to original after a few seconds. Not sure if this is a setting or was caused by the HDMI cable. I upgraded from DirecTV standard HDMI to higher quality HDMI cable and the dimming has seemed to stop. (3) No built in screen mirror app. Will need to buy Apple TV or Chrome Cast. Not a huge deal but it would be nice if it came standard. Overall, I recommend buying this TV. Excellent quality. Especially for the price.

It might not be true 120HZ, but with the back light it makes up for it. Easy to use, great remote.... not sure why everyone hates on the remote. I even went back for the Vizio Soundbar.

This TV's price was too good to be true. We bought it in preparations for the new Xbox One S, as it is a 4k gaming system. As a budget 4k tv, this one is amazing. The quality of the picture is really great. The only issue, and the reason for the 4 not 5 stars, is that this tv DOES NOT WORK with the new Xbox in 4k, it being an 8-bit panel and not the required 10-bit. For an entry level 4k tv though, it's perfect. But not for the new Xbox.

I love the picture, design, and size. The sound is not the best. But I have a sound system so it don't affect me. Great tv for price.

This television has a great picture quality. We have only had it a short time, so can't rate it properly yet. It would get 5 stars from me if not for one problem. I have it connected to a Directv Genie receiver through an Onkyo sound system, and sometimes the tv loses signal due to the receiver or sound system (not on or wrong output). When this happens this television goes to a black screen as though it's off, and there is no indicator that the tv is on, or it has lost signal...just a black screen!

We bought this TV to replace an old 60dlp we had. Easy to use apps. Great picture quality. Need to supplement sound if you're creating a theatre experience.

Great tv. Beautiful picture!! So glad we went with the 4k. Makes my tv watching more enjoyable!!! Would definitely recommend this tv to family and friends.

Great tv, beautiful colors and definition. 4K is definitely the way to go! No problems at all after almost two years...

I have this mounted to my wall. It is great in light rooms as well as dark. I have customized my video settings as I am not a fan of how new movies want to be more realistic by making dark scenes pitch black. The sound is awesome though I have since hooked it up to a 5.1 surround sound. All in all I'd buy this again for another room or maybe get the larger model and put this in my bedroom.

This 58inch television is excellent. great picture and nice to get to netflix and amazon prime with just one touch.

Ovemail great TV for the price went in for a 55 not 4k tv left with this awesome tv. Sound on the TV isn't great but totally suggest the 38 inch sound bar from vizio ro go with the tv awesome combination.

After having the tv for a couple weeks now, I can definitely say that it is a great tv for the money! You get amazing picture quality and fairly good sound. The tv comes with many great apps, such as Netflix, YouTube, Amazon video, Hulu, and many more. There's also an app store were you can find other great apps. Overall, I'm very happy that I chose this tv and I extremely recommend it. Why pay more for other tv's when you can have a better one for less?

I replaced our 1yr old tv.. and I made a right decision.. I like to size, the features n east to install.
