"A Flawed Display: TV with Deadpixel Issue

Bought this item last year in September and within 10 months I started to see dead pixels on the screen.
This TV's dead pixel issue significantly detracts from an otherwise decent viewing experience, making it a frustrating and disappointing purchase.

Worst tv I’ve ever bought. Started flickering and getting lines within the first year. Now it freezes up constantly and has permanent horizontal lines. Not even a year and a half old. No longer watchable. I’m never buying a Vizio again.

this tv panel broke after owning for 16 months. Half a picture. Bottom half all white top half is the picture. Had Geek Squad come and tell me that it would fail completely in a short time. Vizio does not have replacement panels.

Picture issues after only 6 months

Originally thought this was a good purchase since I've owned 5 or 6 Vizio Televisions over the last 15 years or so that were great products. But after a little over 6 months this TV started developing a slight flicker at the bottom of the screen. Today when I turned it on it has huge area that is about 9/10 of the screen that is a dark bar across the whole screen with a sliver of picture across the top. I've done everything I could think of or find on the internet so far to no avail. I couldn't even put in a request through Vizio's website because it wouldn't upload the needed picture of the problem. If anyone else has had this issue and was able to resolve it, I'd love to know what you did. I didn't get the service contract because I've never had electronics die on me this quickly. Maybe I just got a lemon but I'll think twice on my next Vizio purchase

I should have listened to the other reviews. I bought it on August 16, and now, Spetember 21, it is dead. The screen is super messed up. This picture doesn't even show how bad it is. The longer the TV is on the worse it gets.
I've had problems with the TV since I bought it. It didn't setup/update properly the first time. It often times showed a blank screen when it should have been at the menu. The worst part: I can't return it according to the Best Buy web site.
I cannot recommend this TV. It's pretty much been terrible since it was delivered.

I have owned Vizio‘s for over 10 years and they are one of the best long lasting TVs. The only complaint I have is the no SmartCast software it does get laggy and slow at times but nothing a reboot won’t fix

11 months after buying it, there is a pulsing purple line along the bottom of the screen. It’s been great up until now. Disappointed- thought it would last longer- I like the brand. Have had other Vizio products. Tried the reset and hdmi tricks- no luck.

Very disappointing. Purchased Feb. 2022, stopped working Oct 14, 2022 after light use. We don’t watch tv very often. Top half of the tv has streaks that comes and goes every few seconds and bottom half is the screen lags a minute behind. Can not watch anything. Unusable. I understand this is not a high end tv however I would have hoped to have a tv that worked for at least a few years. My last cheap tv in the range of $500 lasted 8 years and still going. Not sure if I got a dud but not very impressed with Vizio. Hopefully their customer service can do something to help me out.

58" QUANTUM W/LOCAL DIMMING

Nice 4k upgrade with deeper contrast. After reading reviews from cnet and rtings.com thinks it's a good buy.
Coming from a 55" is a satisfying bump up in size without having to go 10" more to a 65" - MANUFACTURER's should note there's a market for this size!
PROS
1. GOOD picture quality and contrast. Colors pop nicely. Settings good out of the box. Just needs a bit of fine tuning.
2. Only 58" with local dimming which helps black levels.
3. Speakers better than most and with surprising mid bass.
4. Smart tv is good although still use roku for Sling tv app.
5. No issues to report 3 weeks in.
CONS
1. Took off one star because of the viewing angle which washes out at sides but manageable. Upping the gamma level helps. Hope they improve on newer models.

A nice smart TV with a major weaknesses

I purchased both 58 and 70 versions of this to replace two old 34 inch 1080 Vizio TVs from about 2005. These are a major upgrade. The Smart part of the Smart TV is really amazing. The picture is wonderful.
There are unfortunately two major weaknesses. Both related to the TV part of the Smart TV. (In Dallas, we have about 100 over the air channels so this is a big deal.)
1) Both sets have lost sound for a few of the over the air stations. The only way to get sound again is to unplug the set. This has happened more than once (in less than week) for both sets. It is likely a software problem.
2). It is 2021. My sets from 2005 ware able to display the title of the current TV show on which ever channel you happened to tune to. Most other brands will give you the schedule of all of the local stations. THESE TVS DON’T EVEN DISPLAY THE TITLE OF THE CURRENT SHOW ON A GIVEN CHANNEL. This is an incredible weakness. One that could be fixed with a bit of software. For example the over the air channels could and should be pulled into the WatchFree+ app on the Smart TV. And then the schedule for all could be showing under certain circumstances. This is what Samsung does…
Bottom line is that Vizio needs to make some major improvements to the software driving their Smart TVs.

A service exceeds expectations experience

Great TV. We have enjoyed this set for almost a year. However, this review is more about my VIZIO customer service experience which exceeded expectations. About three weeks ago i noticed some horizontal banding beginning to appear around 1/3 from the top. Sometimes multiple pink bands other times a thin black band. The screen also appeared to be pulsing lighter/darker just barely perceptibly. I realized the TV was still under the manufacturer warranty and I was actually able to chat with a VIZIO service representative through their website on a Sunday afternoon! Well the result was that Vizio replaced the 58 inch Class M7, with a 65 inch Class M7 TV. The replacement Tv arrived today. It was set up, confirmed undamaged and in working order. They even removed the old TV. Frankly, I wasn't expecting this level of service and am more than pleased. This is how you keep customers. This and product quality! The picture is beautiful.
