Vizio honored replacement first year and replaced. Then just after the next year stopped working again. Only blue screen with sound. Never again will purchase Vizio product just not worth the hassle of havingnto return and get a refurbished that ends upbwith same issue.

4 months outside of warranty, with no prior issues, the video stopped working. The screen now shows a flickering mostly white screen with grey bars and datk edges. Tried factory reset with no change. The tv's speakers still works...though they weren't great to begin with. The tv was used for 1 to 2 hours at a time, several tines a week (bedroom tv), no gaming, no external devices except a Vizio soundbar. While looking for avreplacemnt, it seems a newer Vizio model, m58q7-j01, is having similar issues after aa little as a week of use per the reviews on this site.

We have had this Tv for a little over a year. It was beautiful in the beginning, great for gaming. A few weeks ago it got a small line in the screen almost like pixels missing. Then finally we turned it on the other day and the screen is completely white with like black crackling around the edges. No picture, it’s completely useless now. I have TVs over 10 years old, this one should not have broke this quickly. Would return it if I could!

I am very disappointed with this smart tv. I bought this back in January 2021 and my wife tried turning it on with no luck except some sound coming through. I've bought other Vizio tvs before but with this going out I'm considering never going back to either Best Buy or getting a Vizio ever again. Sadly it only has a 1 year warranty and I didn't buy the protection plan. Thanks alot for a piece of crap

Just like other 1 star reviews, the screen went all pixelated and stopped working after 15 months (of very limited use at a second home). First sign was weird banding in one corner (about 20 minutes before it totally went). Difficult to trust Vizio again considering how many others hit the identical problem in a relatively short period of time. Less than 2 years is not good enough.

Like Everyone else this TV started to develop lines across the screen they look like colored streaks. Search Youtube for scotch tape fix. I have not yet tried it but many have had good results. But that is besides the point the failure rate on this model is way too high. There will probably be a class action in the coming years. Save your $ buy something else

Started having issue with the TV after 1 year of purchase. Today it went all white. No display, screen turns to white. Reached out to Vizio support team but that wasn’t helpful. Worst TV ever.

Love the TV - only "complaint" is the volume doesn't always work when I turn it on to HDMI for cable & have to switch input to an app then back to HDMI for it to work. Other than that small annoyance, very happy with the TV! It's very easy to operate & the picture quality is great!

This is a pretty great TV. I've been a longtime fan Vizio as a brand and I think they offer great value for the price. I've never tried their high-end offerings, but these sort of mid-tier products are great. Picture quality is good, colors are bright, darks are dark, etc. There are only 2 complaints I have: the remote and the sound. The remote is a little lackluster and I really do wish it came with a distinct play/pause button instead of just the select/click wheel. Also, the sound can be a little hit or miss depending on your source. I find myself needing to change the volume between sources sometimes. You can fix either of these issues with a universal remote or soundbar, but it does kind of suck that you'd need to spend more money to fix a problem with your $400 TV. Those small issues aside though, this is a fantastic TV and great value for the size.

I thought I was going to get a nice update from my tired 6 year old 1080p tv. I bought this tv and also a new 4.1 vizio sound bar. Wasn't looking to make a top of the line home cinema, I have a full blown home theater already. I just wanted something simple and nice for the family room. I paired the sound to match the TV for Dolby audio and ease of use through the HDMI-arc feature. Didn't want the family fumbling with multiple remote controls. The vizio smartcast was a perfect fit since the TV we upgraded from was a Toshiba cast and we have multiple chromecasts throughout the house (as well as roku, and firetv devices). So before I go into why I'm so frustrated I'll say something nice. The picture right out of the box is very good. Minor tweaks to adjust for room lighting and viewing preferences make for a stunning picture at this price point. Don't expect a $1000 OLED tv and you will not be disappointed. Very respectable black levels makes for an impressive contrast ratio so you really get a great depth of field. HDR, HDR+ content shows off a stunning number of colors and makes that content true eye candy. In comparison regular video formats will seem washed out, so it really makes finding HDR content a worth while hunt. With such a nice picture, why then am I not happy? Well thanks for asking. The TV simply doesn't work as promised. I'll be specific since I haven't fully checked each and every app available so for now I'll stick with YouTube. Using the built in app I can get stunning HDR content, but can not get Dolby sound. There's no point in having a beautiful picture paired to a state of the art sound bar if you can't even get surround sound to match. If I cast video using smartcast not only can you not get Dolby audio, you can't even get 4k! It streams in 1080p stereo sound. What's the point of having this beautiful 4k tv when it's built in features don't even properly support it's features? If I use my chromecast ultra instead of smartcast I can get everything to work just fine. There's no reason to buy this "smart" tv when I'm still forced to use an external streaming source to use all of its features. So.. pretty picture aside I feel completely let down. I still am forced to use an external streaming source to get the features of the TV to work. I've tried adjusting every setting I can find and I can not resolve this internally. My chromecast, even my cable tv all work just fine with Dolby audio so why don't the built in apps (ok we will stick to just YouTube since that's what I tested it with)? Why did I just buy a smart tv when I can't get full use of it's smart features? I thought spending the extra money to get a sound system made by the same manufacturer would be worth the effort to save frustration with set up and use and that's just completely not the case here. So if you just need a tv with a pretty picture and decent price point but don't care about the details then go ahead grab this for a bedroom or basement but if your trying to put together your main family entertainment on a budget I think you'll feel let down unless you also skip the built in smart features and use a roku, fire tv, or chromecast ultra.

This TV is wonderful. When the salesman gave all the information of the pros and con, I was sold. I've done my research before entering best buy but the technician gave me more insight. Picture quality-excellent, set up- easy as 1,2,3, picture size-just right for 58 in, and I'm 57 yrs old female....eazy peazy. The volume isn't as loud as my old 30 yr old t.v but with the sound bar from my previous t.v. AWWWWWMAAAAAAN, THEATER like sound all around. I would recommend this t.v to be purchased.
