This is my second Vizio tv purchase. I’ve had the other one for 6 years and been nothing but pleased with it so I decided on another one. The new tv was just as easy to setup. The picture is great. Vizio is overall a great value for the product. I’ll definitely be purchasing another one.

Ive been looking for a 4k tv for awhile now and stubbled upon this deal. The quality of the tv is great! I paired it with the vizio soundbar and its like have a movie theatre in the living room. For the price of the tv and soundbar, it was well worth it! I highly recommend this tv.

Good picture, Very unhappy with Best Buy and Vizio

I just bought the 65 inch E-series Vizio 3 days before the Superbowl and ended up with such a nightmare, that I didn't even get to use the TV for watching the game. First off, be very skeptical of the information provided by the "Vizio Expert" on here. Before even buying the TV, I was concerned about the width of the legs as my TV stand I just bought is exactly 51 inches wide and I needed very precise information regarding that. The Vizio expert stated the widest footprint of the legs was 50.68 inches. This is wrong! The legs are 51.68 inches wide and Vizio needs to correct that. I have looked on other websites reviews where Vizio expert's list the leg width of this TV and they list it as 51.68 which is correct, I measured myself. Needless to say my new stand was a just under an inch to short and now I had to rush and spend my whole Saturday before superbowl sunday, finding a new stand because of Vizio's incorrect information on here...so frustrating! Then just before the superbowl came on I tried getting my phone to link up with the smartcast so that we could stream the game, since I did not have cable box for this TV until by cable service came out later in the week. After no success and using several smartphones, I called Vizio support. The rep determined that the bluetooth/ wifi electronics inside the TV was defective since after we tried for 45 mins to get any phone to connect. The rep then said I could send the TV back to Vizio or return it to the store. The rep went further, and said that since it is such an inconvenience to have to return such a large TV, that I could call the store (Best Buy) and tell the manager my case number that the rep gave me and they should pick it up for me. This did not make sense, since I did not have it delivered in the first place, but I thought maybe Vizio has something worked out with Best Buy in these instances as a courtesy for defective TVs. I later found out that this rep was likely just saying this to make me happy during the duration of the call and this was, as expected, NOT TRUE. The following Monday I contacted Best Buy after 4 phones calls and a total wait of 30 mins to get a human being on the phone. Eventually I got a manager named Jeff on the phone. Jeff had a courteous tone to his voice but did not care in any way about my hassle in general and missing the game. I understood when he said he could not pick up the TV unless I had originally had it delivered. Vizio reps should not be promising that! Jeff, however, never even once apologized, never said he was sorry for the hassle or was apologetic in any manner which you would expect, which was shocking since I later found out he was the store manager. And I'm a reasonable person and realize Best Buy did not directly have any control over what happened, but nonetheless a store manager needs to have much better tact and diplomacy when dealing with a frustrated customer. In the end I was told I could just return the TV, which I did. I try to support my local Best Buy instead of ordering everything from Amazon, but Best Buy just lost a customer for life simply by the cavalier attitude of the store manager who did not appreciate my business. And I'm honestly not sure if I will buy a Vizio again.

Good TV if it works right

This would be an excellent tv if it worked right but it doesn’t. The 4K and hdr picture look great with my Xbox one but it’s pointless when the tv won’t turn on and won’t load SmartCast. I bought this TV brand new last Christmas and have had issues with it throughout the year hoping that Vizio would fix it because I’m a fan of Vizio. However it still hasn’t been fixed or replaced. The TV will sometimes not start up or load meaning I’ll have to turn on and off the tv a few times hoping that eventually it will, if that doesn’t work sometimes I’ll have to do a hard reset on the tv to get it start up and turn on. I believe it is a smart cast software issue and when reaching out to Vizio they told me they are working on the issue but they don’t have a timeframe for resolution. I’m sorry but that just isn’t acceptable. If the tv worked like it should I’d give it 5 stars as it’s a great moderately priced 65” tv with good features for the price but my advice is be cautious as some of these units may not work properly after your return time period is up and you’re stuck playing the guessing game of if you’re tv will start up or not.

Only had for 5 years and needed a new tv at year 3 honestly. We have put up with restarting this tv several times and now we are at the point it just shuts off constantly. We hate it. Wish I could give it a 0.

We bought this tv for the family room and the picture is fine. Sometimes the tv just randomly turns off. Nobody has set any kind of sleep timer, I don’t even know if it has that function. The apps are sluggish at times but for the most part everything works properly. My biggest complaint about this tv is that my kids grab the remote and turn on YouTube every single day, and I hate YouTube. There’s no way to delete or block apps as far as I’m aware and I’ve tried everything. With 4 kids in the house it’s not as simple as, “don’t let them get the remote”. I should be able to block or at least put a passcode on apps that I’d rather they not use. I would never recommend this tv for that sole reason.

    Incredibly Inconsistent

A lot of issues with this 65" TV when purchased in August 2019. The biggest gripe is that the Smartcast software is terrible. Sometimes it doesn't load up when turning on the television, effectively making it unusable. Sometimes it takes multiple attempts to turn the TV on, as it will turn itself off during booting. Even when it does load up, it seems to be a slow response to any inputs from the remote. There are times where the only solution is to unplug from the wall and wait. The TV will frequently turn itself off at random. I contacted online support over this, and their solution was to do a factory reset because apparently, the TV wasn't automatically updating, despite the TV telling me that everything was up to date. Since contacting tech support, things are not improved. This TV has been the only major purchase that my wife and I both agree we made a mistake on. I have no intention of getting a Vizio product in the future and strongly encourage anyone reading this to avoid any Vizio product with their Smartcast platform.

We purchased this to replace our 8 year old 55" plasma Samsung TV. I'm no "videophile" but we found the picture, even after research and significant tinkering with settings, to be simply "fair." When watching "dark" scenes the places on the screen where light was supposed to be low or none looked more gray than black. The "smart TV" function is okay - I like our roku and apple TV applications much better. It was very easy to set up and there were some programs that looked better than the darker movies/shows we watched. I was just surprised that a such highly rated product ended up being more of an average thing. I guess you still need to spend $1,000 or more for the best quality TV's. We're returning the TV after 3 weeks of giving it a shot and putting the Samsung plasma back in it's place until I can feel comfortable spending more money on a better product. Oh, and if you think 65" is a big difference over 55", not so much - the measurements being on the diagonal made it seem insignificant.

Hello MixlePixle, Thank you for the feedback. A few things that might help you get the kind of picture quality you are looking for. First, make sure the Display is getting a hi-definition signal. This means making sure that you're source device (like a cable/satellite box) is capable of HD, and that it's connected to your Display with an HDMI cable that can deliver the HD picture. You can also change between pre-set picture modes on the display by pressing the PIC button on your remote. This will toggle between a few picture setting that look good in different situations. If your display is in a bright room try Vivid or Calibrated. If it’s in a dimmer room try Calibrated Dark. VIZIO

Great price for a big TV. But, picture quality is reflective in that budget price. Horrible black levels. Colors don't transition very well. Horrible viewing angle. Now a year into owning this TV, I want to upgrade. I can't stand to watch movies on this. We use Netflix, YouTube TV and Prime. We have a 150/150 internet connection and wired to the router. The bad quality is definitely not internet related. We have a Samsung downstairs that was 3 times the price, but no regrets!

    Worst tv ever

If I could give Vizio TVs a 0 out of 5 stars, I would. NEVER EVER EVER BUY A VIZIO TV!! They are not worth the money and certainly not worth the frustration they cause with their software issues. I purchased a 65inch tv in 2018 and have regretted it ever sense. Literally, every 2 to 3 months I have to call technical support who usually talks me through a factory reset because their TVs are so crappy. To experience glitches and having to wipe your tv slate clean & reprogram/re-pair everything (the wifi, personal tv settings, Vizio cast app) every couple months is aggravating to say the least. I know no one else that has trouble with their TVs as much as I do. And again, the price was too high & the tv is in too good of condition to keep needing constant resets. Vizio = worst tv brand ever. Definitely stick to Sony, LG, or ANY other brand.

Don't buy this TV, Ive owned more than a few Vizios and I gotta say I'm really disappointed in the TV and the misleading information and specifications, Not only is the true refresh rate NOT 120hz, But apparently it's also not 4k. My ps4 pro which supports 4k says my TV doesn't, that maybe there's a setting in the TV that needs changed for 4k support, but there's no such setting, My ps4 pro is running at 1080p and 60hz refresh rate.. HUGE DISAPPOINTMENT... there is NO REASON WHAT SO EVER why A 4k TV should NOT SUPPORT 4k DEVICES!!!!!!!!!!! DON'T BUY THIS JUNK!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

So i purchased this TV thinking hey smart tv would be perfect for me so i dont have to use my xbox for netflix or hulu anymore. Nope wrong after 3 months wifi component goes completely out and will not connect to internet for airplay or smartcast. So they replace it with a contractor that said he had never worked on a tv before and talked about how bad he hated his job the entire time the guy was here. Im stil not done though the new tv loses all internet capability from wifi and ethernet and now vizio says that it is over 1 year warranty and said in quote” if you cannot afford one that is atleast $999 or more then i need to atleast be able to afford an extra warranty for the product which is cool with me i see how vizio is, and i would have purchased the extra warranty but walmart did not offer it to me at purchase and i didnt think about asking them for it but the main moral to the story is if we pay 5-700 dollars for a tv it should get more than 6-12 months life. Spoken to multiple vizio advisors on the phone and by facebook and none of them care and say its hard for poor people right now and all this and that but them answers dont help my tv.

Got this to replace my 70in D series that started to turn purple after only 2 years. Against my better judgement i got this TV willing to give them another chance. Turns out it came defective with a dark spot on the screen. After waiting on line, wasting time with their horrible customer service, and now having to haul this piece of junk back to best buy, i can safely say i will never recommend or buy another vizio in my lifetime.
