I've been a fan of Vizio for years, thanks in large part to their dedication to providing high-end features and quality while keeping prices affordable. Perhaps the most perfect example of this balance comes in the form of the 65" M65-F0 M-Series Smart TV. The display offers premium features and epic picture quality that until recently were only available on much more expensive, top-of-the-line displays. Most recently, I had a 70" P-Series display from a couple of years back, which cost more than twice the price of the latest 65" M-Series. And while we loved the 4K resolution and local dimming of the P, the new M preserves offers significant picture quality upgrade over our previous display. Of course, there's a brand spanking new P-Series Quantum display out now that looks incredible, but for the average household, the M-Series is more than enough. For starters, the M65-F0 offers some of the most dynamic and brilliant imagery we've seen on an LED backlit LCD screen. Colors are rich and saturated, and thanks to full-array local dimming tech, contrast levels are outstanding. For those unfamiliar with local dimming, the LEDs in Vizio displays are arranged into a grid, and each section of the grid can be individually dimmed or turned entirely off. This dramatically increases contrast compared to most displays which use either flat backlighting or edge lighting, which can result in muddy, grey looking blacks, or brighter areas around the edge of the screen. There are no such issues with a well-executed local dimming system. While I had some concern that having just 40 zones would be a significant disadvantage compared to the 96 zones of our old P-Series, this proved to be an unwarranted worry. Out of all of the content I watched, the only place where the boxy local dimming zones were noticeable at all was while the loading icon came on screen - which is a small, rotating white object against a dark background. This didn't present itself at all with any actual content I watched, which all offered up inky blacks and brilliant whites, right alongside each other. When fed with a quality 4K source like a UHD Blu-ray disk, or streams from Amazon Prime or Netflix, the M-Series truly shines. Images are fantastically sharp and lifelike with non-HDR content, and brilliantly colorful and hyper-real with HDR sources - especially the Dolby Vision 4K content I streamed from Netflix. 1080p and 720p sources are upscaled well, and their color and contrast still has good pop, despite the lower resolution of their source material. Beyond its excellent image quality, the 65" M-Series also packs some great Smart TV features. In addition to built-in streaming apps for Netflix, Amazon Prime, Vudu, Hulu, YouTube, and more, it has Chromecast support built in. That means that you can select and control content using apps on your iOS or Android smartphone, and then the display will directly stream the highest quality version of the content. This implementation of Chromecast is flawless, and worked with a variety of video apps on our phones. I even was able to stream 4K HDR content, something that normally requires the purchase of a Chromecast Ultra. While I'd normally say that a soundbar or home theater audio system is a must, the built-in speakers and amplifiers in the M-Series sound surprisingly good as well, offering expansive virtual surround, crisp highs and mids, clear vocals, and room-filling volume. You'll want a subwoofer if you like bass thump, but for an everyday living room TV, the built in speakers are more than good enough. The 2018 M-Series is really the best of all worlds, offering a stellar image, great smart TV and streaming media support, very good built-in sound, and at just $999, a retail price that won't break the bank.

I was new to UHD television's and wanted to not make a mistake considering it is a pretty sizable investment. I did tons of research on everything from reviews to forums and word of mouth. I was initially torn between Vizios 2017 M-series and the TCL 65in from this year. Eventually after I received a %10 off coupon and seeing the new 2018 in person I just grabbed it; and am SSOOO GLAD I DID! Absolutely amazing picture! The bezeless design is truly an elegant touch. I am using this unit as our main tv in our living room, which is very bright during the day and the m-65 shrugs it right off with minimal glare; (If ANY). I also use it for both PS4 and PC gaming and let me tell you; this thing is a BEAST! I actually have noticed a number of details already in W.O.W. that i never was able to see before. In short, I chose this tv after learning everything I could about similar priced Samsung, LG, Sony, Hisense, TCL, Phillips, Sharp, etc; and this blew them away. It even topped models $100's more! If your on the fence like I was, take the chance and buy this tv! You will thank me and yourself later!

I got this for $899 on a special from Best Buy. I also bought my last 4K Vizio TV from them. This TV is amazing for the price - it supports HDR10 and Dolby Vision and has great tech specs. My only nitpick is there are less HDMI ports than the last generation of 4K Vizio TV's (which was my original purchase from Best Buy), so I need to swap one of my cable inputs every once in a while, but other than that Great TV! Love the color range, and playing 4K HDR movies on it!

I have been using this TV for several weeks now, and after watching TV shows, movies, sports, and gaming, I have come to the conclusion that it is an excellent, all-rounder performer. By far my favorite experience has been HDR gaming with a PS4 Pro - it looks absolutely incredible. The bad is the viewing angle...it deteriorates pretty quickly from an angle so this makes this TV not good for any large gathering viewing parties. This won't be an issue if you use it for a small family or just yourself, but I do not recommend it if you plan on having large seating from various angles around it. If you want something like that, look for a TV that has better viewing angles. Enjoy!

This TV is so amazing especially for the price. Huge upgrade from my 2009 Mitsubishi DLP TV. I was doing my research for months prior to buying this Vizio and I have say I am happy with my purchase. I considered Samsung and LG around the $1000 price range and noticed that the specs of those TV are not nearly as good as this Vizio. To get the specs of this Vizio obv those TV brands you will end up paying at least $700 more. One thing I learned through my research is that the refresh rate on TVs has to do with the brightness thanks to a best buy salesperson. Motion rate obviously has to do with the motion. Anyhow I am happy with both the motion and refresh rate of this TV. Overall two thumbs up.

This is a great tv and I mean tv cause, the Vizio 2018 models have tuners which by the way works really well. This tv has a really great picture and is very bright. I turned down the backlight to 60% and brightness to 45% and the picture is more than adequate. The color is very rich too, I ran a 4K hdr10 video of a oled demo and I was blown away. The colors were super rich and the blacks were just solid black. No light blooming or grays along the edges, just a really great picture. The menu is simple and easy to navigate but, has all nessesary adjustments for someone who likes to fine tune. The sound is very good too and the the whole thing was very easy to setup out of box. I'm very happy with this purchase, especially for the sale price. Good job Vizio.
