This TV is awesome! The picture is amazing. I use it for streaming and ota TV. 4k HDR content is amazing. The colors are very accurate out of the box in the calibrated mode, and the black levels are extremely black. The contrast is very good with only slight bleeding in extreme contrast situations. the FALD works well and is not very noticeable unless you are actively looking to see it. It handles motion almost as good and the plasma tv it replaced. I am extremely happy with the purchase.

Threal, that it actually looks fake! Just about everything looks great on this television. I simply love this TV! This is my first Vizio television as well as my first 4K television. I currently own two 60 & 65" 3D 1080p televisions by another maker and thought they had the best displays until I took ownership of the Vizio television. I'm blown away and totally impressed by all that this television has to offer. The reds, blacks, greens, yellows, pink and orange colors are popping! This 4K television is amazing! This TV is super bright. Lightens a dark room of over 1,000 sq feet with ease. I'm able to watch television in any lighting conditions and don't need to close the shutters or adjust lighting to enjoy my favorite shows. I had my television shipped to my home, because although the television is rather

Playing primarily on PC, 120 hz is amazing. Consoles are looking excellent too. Just remember to turn on game mode for consoles or else you'll get like a 1/4 second lag. I think the display modes and settings are a little tedious but will stick, you just have to do them for each input. If you put in a little work you can get a fantastic picture. I found some extra color settings in the input settings that I didn't know about. It's in Menu-Input Settings-pick an input-Full UHD Color. The Hulu app still seems to have issues with freezing/resetting occasionally but Netflix and YouTube haven't had issues. Overall, kinda clunky but the hardware specs are great and the software features work as advertised - Local dimming, hdr, black level and all that jazz.

Let me start first by saying, I have never been a fan of Vizio products. However you are foolish to pass on this TV. I had been comparing TV's for some time looking to upgrade, I have mainly purchased Sony TV's . However after comparing the price and features of many brands, the Vizio P series kept coming up in my search. I decided I should give it a try. I am happy to report this is by far the best tv I've owned. The color and brightness are great, the picture is incredible, local dimming, thin bezels, fit and finish as well as a few other features you don't get in this price range are what swayed me. The only fault I've found is that the remote isn't the best as far as "connectivity" you need to actually point in a particular direction.

The overall picture quality is excellent, colors are bright and vibrant, the blacks are deep and dark. It really is a great looking TV! I have connected a Visio Soundbar SB3651-E6 to my Visio P65 and have been having issues with sound dropping out when switching inputs and then the TV stops responding (freezes) and I have to unplug the TV, hold the power button in for 10 seconds then plug it back in then it returns to normal. I have connected HDMI ARC out on the Soundbar to the TV's #1 HDMI input then I connected my Frontier FIOS Video Server to HDMI in on the Soundbar. I also have my computer plugged into HDMI #2 and Amazon's Fire Stick plugged into HDMI #4. The problem starts when switching inputs between devices, the picture always remains on but the sound stops working and I have to reset the soundbar by unplugging the power cable from the soundbar then press and hold the power button for 10 seconds (that resets it) plug the power cable back in turn it back on then it starts working OK again. I have it setup this way because when I tell Alexa (yes I also have Alexa connected) to turn on or off the TV both the TV and Soundbar respond respectively, that's because it's using ARC. If I use Optical in from the TV to the Soundbar I can remove both HDMI cables from the Soundbar and plug my Frontier box directly into HDMI #1 , The problem with this connection scenario is that you have to increase the volume almost double then when it's connected thru HDMI and turning the TV and Soundbar on or off together using Alexa will not work!, only the TV shuts off, the Soundbar remains on until you shut it off with the remote or use the power button directly on the Soundbar. When it is working the sound is incredible, much better than using the internal speakers, surround sound is great. Connecting the soundbar, subwoofer and rear speakers was very easy too.

Purchased this TV as our Living Room television and am very happy with the purchase. Was going to just go with the E-Series but after going online and looking at reviews decided to go ahead and spend a little more to get the P-Series. Picture quality is fantastic. Very bright and vivid colors. Blacks are extremely dark. I use it with a Fire TV, Nintendo Switch and an over the air HD Antenna and picture is fantastic with all. Built in apps are pretty nice and actually load surprisingly fast. Very good purchase.

I’d probably give this a 9/10 if possible because I do wish it had more built in apps like HBO, but the display itself is as good as you will get in this price range. HDR is fantastic for gaming and movie/tv content, while the low latency port is great for online gaming (though hdr latency is still very good with game mode on). This makes it a great choice for people like me who are looking for a balance between picture quality and performance. Local dimming is good but anything higher than the low setting for tv/movies shows blooming in a dark room, but there doesn’t seem to be a problem with this in hdr gaming.

The picture quality on this TV is stellar, and the build quality is solid enough. The interface is nice, although there's more lag than I'd like when navigating the menus. I've had this for just over a month and a half and have already had two issues crop up. The first issue was with the ethernet port. The TV couldn't maintain a consistent internet connection. I had ethernet plugged in and the wifi set up, and it would switch between those two and "No connection" in a cycle. Really slow load times and really frustrating. I will say that Vizio remedied the problem quickly after a 15-minute phone call. They sent a repair person and he replaced the logic board on the back. All set. My second problem is the screen, and I just noticed it for the first time maybe 2 weeks ago. On one part of the screen, a grid pattern appears after about 15-20 minutes of watching anything. It's not really noticeable until there's a solid color or gradient on that part of the screen, but it's frustrating. I've called and sent photos, but may have to wait until it gets worse before they'll fix it. It hasn't interfered terribly with my experience yet, but I'm sure it's only going to get worse. All in all, wish I would have gone with Samsung or Sony.

I've had this TV for a week now, and I've put it through it's paces. First, I have to say, I'm coming from a 42 inch 720p Samsung plasma, and a 32 inch 720p Sony as my main TVs. Obviously this 4k Vizio was a huge upgrade. It goes without saying, but comparing God of War on the ps4 from my old Samsung to this, is night and day. I'm continuously wowed and impressed by ps4 games, 4k blu rays, and 4k streaming from Netflix and Vudu via Roku Ultra. The black levels on this TV are remarkably good, motion blur is not a problem, and after adjusting the settings just a bit, the colors are right where I want them. HDR, when done right, is really a sight to behold. Haven't really tried the smart features or apps built in with this TV. I'm sure they work fine, but I just prefer Roku. I was debating between this P65-f1 and Sony's 55 inch X900F. With the Sony being $200 more and 10 inches smaller, I thought I'd give Vizio a try, and I'm very happy. The box it comes in is huge, and if you don't have help setting this TV up, take your time, but it can be done. Side note, the feet for this TV are very wide apart, too wide for my TV table. Not wanting to buy another table, I bought the Kanto TTS100 TV stand (it's says it's made for TVs up to 60', and with a max weight of 88lbs; with this TV being 65' but only around 55lbs, I figured it'd be ok). The stand works great and compliments the look of the TV well.

Some Early Glitches Yet to Be Worked Out

    Posted .

Unboxed it this week. Gorgeous picture when it's working correctly. Sadly when used at 120hz 1080p with a PC and then switching back to Netflix etc (60hz 4k) the picture is wrecked with vertical flashing lines across the screen. The TV has to be rebooted to make the glitch go away. Hopefully this kind of thing is a firmware fix and doesn't require a replacement unit. It's disappointing that Vizio's main menu only tries to sell Vudu, Fandango and doesn't search Netflix and Amazon like my Roku TV does. Lastly, the remote is horrible for watching TV with the lights off. I even put tape beside the volume button to try and orient where my hand is on the remote and it's still annoying to figure out if the remote is backwards or not.

Hello JovialJack, if you are having issues with the remote in a dark room this TV does come with the ability to be controlled from a smart device using the VIZIO SmartCast application. This allows you to control your television fully from a smart device that is connected to the same network as the TV. If you are still having issues with your picture please give our customer service a call at 877-878-4946 so that we can look into the issue for you. VIZIO

I purchased the P65-F1 model to replace an older LCD tv in my living room. I also considered the TCL 6 series but ultimately went with Vizio due to the higher natural refresh rate and sale price at the time. I’ve been pleasantly surprised with the high quality and features of this tv at such a bargain price. Pros: -Bright vivid colors -Handles motion well -App works as remote on smart devices -Lots of options to customize display -Excellent black levels -Smart tv features are nice addition - Priced as a value tv -sleek design with minimal borders Cons: -Bright rooms will cause glare on screen -smart tv features are a little sluggish. Requires excellent internet connection. -“Blooming” is noticeable with default settings. The backlight shines through some black scenes but can be adjusted easily with display settings.

Pros: -The build quality and panel (including local dimming) are great. -Very little haloing w/ local dimming enabled. -Uniformity is perfect. -HDR hits almost 1,000 cd/m2 (nits) -Color saturation is above average for HDR content (I don't believe the backlight is using quantium dots due to the only 90-ish% DCI-P3 coverage). -Impressive input lag (around 20ms). -Color Calibration and EOTF tracking are excellent out of the box. -Does 1080p@120hz Cons: -TV is missing a SDR color enhancer. -480p & 720p content upscaling are subpar. -1080p content upscaling is missing a pixel perfect mode (nearest neighbor filtering) -Built-in apps/casted content DO NOT use the entire screen. 12-16 pixels are cut off from either side. (Sometimes the cut off pixels are gray sometimes black or a mix of both) Neither VIZIO or Google care and the setting to fix it is locked when using anything built-in. - I had to buy Chromecast ultra. -No variable refresh rate Note: Did not test the built-in speakers. For $999... BUY IT!

I went with the P Series Vizio because it had a 65 inch series with quality design and specs to match. The Vizio has been reduced in price to $900.00 from $1200 so that makes this tv an even bigger deal. I did plenty of research into the Sony 900, Samsung Q6, Q7 and Q8Series to compare and even looked at other options that the internet would compare the Vizio often with. A search for a quality TV can be overwhelming with amounts of information available. As long as you know how much you're willing to spend, the purpose of use for your TV whether its gaming, streaming or casual use and the size you need you're headed in the right direction.I already had a 50 inch TV and thought it was pretty big but that was in my small living room area of a 1 bedroom apartment and have since moved into a 2 bedroom apartment with a much bigger living room area. I almost made the mistake of going with a 55 inch but quickly noticed how small my 50 inch TV was in this new space and how far I sat from the TV is what made me notice that I had to go with a 65 inch. To me my budget wouldn't allow me to go over $1200 so I looked at all the top TVs between 800 and 1200 dollars and glad I went with my P series Vizio. I use it for streaming & gaming but if you're into sports it is a great way to throw a party at your house and watch the game from a quality TV such as this one.

    Best 4K HDR Budget TV

Definitely a big electronics guy. Did plenty of research on all 4K TV’s. I came down to the TCL 65R617 and VIZIO P-Series 65”. The VIZIO is slightly more expensive, but I got mine over the 4th for the $1,100 deal. I have not reviewed audio for the TV as anyone who is looking g for a 65” 4K HDR tv and is somewhat interested in a decent product should already know they will need an external speaker source of some sort for decent audio. So far, I’ve tried Netflix UHD, Amazon Video 4K stream and a Apple TV 4K video stream. Picture quality is excellent and looks are great. Like I said this a budget 4K HDR picture so when you compare it to LG’s OLED or Samsung’s Q-Led 8 Series there is definitely a difference. But price is also very different. For what you get, I challenge you to find something better for the money. I use an Apple TV as an external source for video, so I’m not much help on Google’s Chromecast interface. VIZIO has built a full-array LED tv with all HDR available and priced it very reasonable. It’s worth fooling around with the picture settings to find what you personally think looks best. Very happy with my purchase.

I was looking for a true 120hz refresh rate to avoid pixelation problems with fast action sports viewing, and this TV has true 120hz (not TruMotion 120 or Image Motion 120 which are actually 60hz). I don't watch many programs on TV, but I do like the clarity when I watch sports - usually NFL games. The vivid and realistic colors of the uniforms, the shine of the helmets, the green field, the colors throughout the stadiums and especially the smoothness of all the action - from the battles at the scrimmage line, the speedy receivers going out for the pass or the smoothness of the football in flight - I have seen absolutely no unnatural artifacts, just a very striking presentation in every way. I am really enjoying this TV and I believe other sports viewers will certainly enjoy this product as well!

Vizio delivers again with a TV that meets many basic feature requirements for today's 4K TV. First, it's full array local dimming does help with black levels and when watching 4K content really shows. Also, at this price point, it was one of the few TV brands and models that supports three formats; HLG, Dolby Vision, and HDR10. Don't leave out that versus other comparable value brands this is a true 120Hz refresh rate panel (over 60Hz for some others). Reviewers write about the smart platform being Chromecast instead of the more praised Roku, but if not using the TV's smart platform and instead a streaming box like an Apple TV 4K for content then this should not hold you back from selecting this TV. The only issue I have experienced that is mentioned in other reviews is the speed at startup and some quirky issues with input selects but it is important to note that I have experienced some of the input select issues with a lot of the LED TVs that I have owned. If looking for an affordable 4K TV that supports all formats and has a true 120Hz refresh rate panel to me, this is your choice.

When I accidentally destroyed my 900 series by breaking the LCD screen, I was about to throw up. Then I saw after a bunch of research this TV, and thanks to the 24 months no interest, said why not. This TV has absolutely exceeded Sony in So many ways. The black levels are perfect. The picture quality and colors are unbelievable. My Sony did not come near this close. If you are using the Sony for up converting from older TV, it is better. But for current high definition broadcasting, and 4K, there is no comparison. I can’t say enough about this TV. Vizio has not paid me to post this, but maybe they should. LOL! In all seriousness, this is the best TV for round of thousand dollars that you could buy, and I would argue thousands more! If gaming, 4K, as well as high definition standard broadcast is your every day cup of tea like me, by this thing without any hesitation. SERIOUSLY!

Did a lot of due diligence before pulling the trigger on this one. Was comparing similar LG, Samsung, and Sony TVs at this particular price point, and I think what sold me the most was the full array LEDs versus the edge-lit options at the same price. I've actually owned two other Vizio TVs in the past- one is about 11 years old and the other about 7- so this isn't a new brand to me (both of the older TVs are still alive and working well, by the way). I tried to not let that influence my decision, but I think that I would vouch for Vizio as a brand overall given my previous experiences with them. This particular TV is my first 4k TV and the largest I've purchased. The picture looks great just playing good old TV programs, and I'm sure that it will look great once I start playing some legit 4k content on it. The depth of the blacks is very good, and the color range is great. It's no OLED, but most people wouldn't need to pay the hefty price of an OLED right now to have enjoyable picture quality at this time. One thing I expected to be worse is the sound quality. My previous Vizios were... poor at best. This one is actually quite acceptable. Mid to high range sounds are quite clear. Let's be honest though... if you're getting a 65 inch TV you're going to want to complement with at least a soundbar and subwoofer, right? So far, I am happy with the purchase. The picture quality is really great, and for a full array LED it's not very thick at all. It has a very slick edge bevel, so you don't really see much besides the screen itself. If you're able to get a deal on this one, no need to hesitate!

This is my first 4k TV. Before that my primary TV is a Panasonic plasma and an Optima 1080p DLP projector. The picture quality of the Vizio is really good. Black is quite black, obviously not as black as plasma or OLED. While OLED still has the best picture especially in a dark room, the Vizio is a good compromise for the price. Viewing angle is one thing it does not do so well. Other than that, it is highly recommended.
