Vizio has come a long way since their early foray into cheap flat-screen TV's - they now lead the way in the great TV for a great price sector. But don't take my word for it - check out the reviews on Rtings for nearly all sectors of TVs and Vizio is consistently near the top.
This 65" hangs in my living room as our main TV for both streaming and live cable TV. Images are always bright and crisp, blacks are solid and colors are true - I've made nearly no adjustments from the factory settings save for maybe the white balance. Absolutely no complains about the image quality.
I'm not happy with reflections on this TV - if what you're watching is dark (i.e. horror or something set at night-time) then even the smallest light source is going to reflect and ruin your view. I knew this going into it and luckily we have a good set of blackout blinds on our windows.
Menu navigation is easy with the remote, as are the smart features. Netflix and Amazon buttons on the remote also make it really easy to get into the major streaming services.
These days it's tough to go wrong with nearly any brand of TV if you do your homework, but Vizio makes it really easy to just say 'I'll take it"

I love this TV and very glad we went with Vizio for this one. Superb image quality, good audio, and great size for the modern living room. Viewing angle could be better, but I knew that going in. Black levels make up for it. Great value overall and recommended for anyone looking for a 65". Supports all the connected/streaming apps you can throw at it. Looks great on the stand or on the wall.

I bought the demo and saved enough to het the 5 year warranty and still beat the sale price, theres the value. Some people dont realize each manufacturer makes several quality of tvs so not all 4k 65” tvs in this case are the same. I would consider this tv the upper end of the mid grade tv line to bottom end of the top. First of all the pic matched the same level of the other name brands, LG & samsung but the price blew them away. Then the chrome cast and claimed over 100 free channels which is stuff you can find on any smart tv. It was advertised as being able to mirror your phone screen amd thought that would be cool when i played mu games. It can ONLY IF THE APP is compatible. So that feature was a disappointment. I would buy it again, when watching true 4k movies use the vivid mode, its not factory set to that so at first i was a little disappointed in the pic, some stuff it puts too much color and gives faves a bit of a orange look and i use a different setting.

Great quality TV for the price, and top rated by Rtings.com. The picture quality for 4k HDR gaming is especially nice. Be warned however, that one or two HDMI ports may not function with UHD setting turned on for that output if you are trying to output your PS4 Pro or Xbox X in 4K HDR with RGB setting. Went through two TV's from Best Buy and each had the same problem. Finally just called Vizio, and they sent a couple contracted repair people out who replaced the mother board. It appears to be working now fine now. I'd say still worth the effort for a great TV for the price. Seems this Input issue is fairly widespread with this batch of TVs. Vizio is likely working on it.

Near OLED/QLED quality

The jump from the Vizio P65 to other OLED or QLED sets is not as great a gulf as you might think. My personal preference tends toward full array screens that can achieve high peak brightness levels, such as this model. I also wanted a native 120Hz panel. That it can achieve deep blacks not too far from OLED levels is the cherry that makes this a very good choice at it's price point. I was able to get this set at a pre-Super Bowl price of $899. Nothing is as good or better at that price, but at $1100, there are a few other competitors that can be considered. One glaring weakness is the sound. It is tinny, compressed and weak. If you rely on your set's built-in audio for viewing, you should seriously think about an alternative. However, the built-in audio of most of the better high-end OLED sets is always compromised. For me, 250 watts going to each of five channels and high-end speakers in the five figure range make the built-in audio of this TV irrelevant. A good soundbar is welcome if you lack dedicated home theater components.

Purchased this TV at the recommendation of a BestBuy employee and the lower cost vs the Sony equivalent. The full array backlight really helps to make dark areas very dark giving a nice contrast. My biggest complaint is that when viewing some menus and such on my Xbox one, especially the loading spinner, that full array dimming causes a noticeable halo around objects that can be distracting. Otherwise I don't really notice it in games or watching TV/Movie content. I have not been able to get Dolby Vision to work with the Xbox One X, but normal HDR seems to work fine. If you don't need all the "smart" TV functions that you find on other sets, then go with this one. Picture take longer than some to come up vs other TVs, but that is a minor inconvenience. I have noticed some random times where the screen will go black and then come back after a few seconds. Hopefully that is something that can be fixed with a firmware upgrade, though.

4K HDR 240hz/120hz effective refresh rates. Picture looks good, took a little longer then my previous tv's to get the picture the way i like but am happy with the outcome. I have it hooked to my pc also for when i want to play games at native 4K resolution 120hz. Works and looks good. This is my second Vizio TV and both have been good to me.

I’m not rich I can’t affird OLED. But the picture quality of this TV is so good. Once you have it at home it will blow you away every time you use it. Yea you can buy a 4K tv for half the price but there is more to a TV than just pixels. This tv has HDR DOLBY VISION great color awesome backlighting the blacks are so black you can’t tell if the TV IS ON!

5-7 Years ago I wouldn't have considered a Vizio. But it appears they've picked up a good portion of the TV market where Panasonic and others have dropped the ball.
This 65" P series is an excellent buy given the number of local dimming zones, size, and motion rate. On sale at $1200 the closest Samsung I could find with similar features & size was still $400 more. Great picture, brightness, and low input lag. Tv does well in a room with lots of natural lighting. Unless you are after an OLED set, I recommend this above all other tvs for its exceptional value. In addition, Bestbuy instore pickup was a day ahead of schedule. Good overall experience.

I think this TV has one of the best pictures of all the TVs, except the Qleds. I did my research and came upon the Visio. It's very bright. The color is amazing and when my wife and I watch it we are both astonished with the picture quality. We have a bose 300 sound bar and sub-wolfer. It's better then being in a movie theater.

I've been looking for a reason to return this tv and get one of the premium brands......... so far, I cant find one.
Picture is great.... xbox one gaming on vivid will burn your retinas, turned down some of the settings so it's over the top vivid bit not going to require sunglasses.
I stream all my content... directtv now, amazon, etc... no complaints at all.
Football looks good... movies and shows are good. Blacks are deep, whites are white.
I chose this over the sony 850, LG 8000, and samsung 8000. Didnt even consider the tcl.

So recently purchased this set..
Was ready to blown away with picture quality. Did a lot of research and went into Best buy alot, the sales people probably know me by now ;).
So I got this delivered and paired it with a Vizio 36 sound bar.. yeah the TV sound is average at best.
So a week in and I happen to notice the light bleed seen on the photos.
So called Best buy geek squad to do a return and exchange.. well that was an adventure, hold times were a long 30-45 mins.. (I guess holidays)..so I ended up going back to the store and was thinking of switching to TCL 6 series but decided to try the Vizio one more time.
Just watched Narcos Mexico on Netflix and Planet earth 2..Wow!!
Will report back when the new set gets delivered next week,

This 5 HDMI port equipped TV is practically perfect for everything we have plugged into it. We have a PS4, Switch, Wii-U and PC hooked up to it with an HDMI input to spare. The picture is great and I really enjoy being able to run PC games with a 120 refresh rate.

After reading about all the best 65" 4K TVs and looking over many reviews on rtings.com, I decided to buy the P65-F1 Vizio. It had many nice features but was priced reasonably. I was dumb and thought since my previous Samsung TV never really had any issues and was going on 4 years old I would just skip getting a warranty. Well, here we are two years after buying the Vizio and taking very good care of it to find it just started endlessly rebooting after being powered on. It doesn't respond to any controller input because it just reboots as soon as it fully starts up. Looking up how to do a factory reset only states that it must be done by accessing the menu by using the remote so that wouldn't work. I searched the internet for solutions and it turns out there are many forum posts where people report having the same issue or slight variances where it would be less frequent but reboot while watching shows. I feel fortunate I never had that issue, but being that the TV is 2 years old without an extended warranty, I was hosed. I even found YouTube videos with 60k views about other people having the same issue across multiple models of their TVs. I decided to call Vizio and just see if their was anything they could do, but of course they didn't help since the unit was out of warranty. The final step I took was to bring the TV to a local TV technician and have him investigate the issue. He told me within a few hours that the TVs main motherboard was probably bad and it would cost ~$500 with labor to fix, but that it also might be some other issue because the heat sink was very hot on the TV. He said it could also be the power supply and that replacing any one thing or even multiple parts may not even fix the issue. Last step was to take the TV to the recycling center. So, basically, this TV was great while it lasted. Lesson learned that I should "always" get an extended warranty when buying tech like this, but also that I may steer free of any Vizio products in the near future.

The quick and easy reviews is that the Vizio P65-F1 is hands down the best TV Ive ever had. Design wise the minimal bezels makes the front all screen. And the silver trim and legs add a nice touch of class. I love the Vizio gives you 5 HDMI ports. No more need for HDMI splitters. The remote is very nice and simple. Easy to learn without having too many buttons. You can also use your phone with the smartcast mobile app. Set up is very simple. Choose language, country, enter wireless info or plug in an Ethernet cable. Name your set, scan for channels, and youre done.
The picture is the best Ive seen from any non OLED TV. The colors, black levels, contrast, brightness, etc. are amazing. This is my first TV with true local dimming, and until Ive seen it I didnt know what I was missing. Gone are the light bleed and blooming you get with bright objects on a black background. With the local dimming it produces perfect blacks without losing any of the clarity and brightness of other objects in scenes. With up to 1000 nits of brightness you get amazing bright scenes that dont overdo things despite how bright it can get. HDR on Netflix is awesome. The 240hz refresh rate keeps objects moving in full detail with almost no blur at all. And the picture settings can be simple, or detailed if you want. Either choose on of the presets if you like the look. Or tweak to your hearts consent. There are a lot of adjustments you can make to get the picture calibrated to your liking. I prefer standard mode.
The audio is what you would expect from standard speakers. I use headphones for all my audio, but a nice soundbar or surround sound system works as well. My preferred set up is using wireless headphones connected to the optical audio out that connects to my headphones transmitter.
Of course the TV comes with all the standard apps you would expect like Netflix, Google Play, Hulu, etc. It will also has access to over 100 free channels with “Vizio Watch Free” coming soon. And yes this has a tuner, so it is a “TV”. Apps and the UI are fluid, fast responding and just work. You can also control your set with Alexa or Google home. It also has USB media playback for your own videos you have on a thumb or external drive.
Even though I said this in the first sentence its worth saying again. The Vizio P65-F1 is the best TV Ive ever had. And Ive had quite a few 4K sets over the years. The picture quality, features, build quality, and performance make this my new #1 all time. To get this kind of quality from another brand you will easily be dropping $2000 at the least. Vizio has come a long way and should be on your list while shopping for your next TV.

I researched my tail off before purchasing this TV. I looked at the Samsung 8000 & 9000 series, the TCL Series 6 and Sony 900. Because of the price and the features - I kept coming back to the Vizio P-Series.
CNET and other sites gave it high praise. However, I kept seeing customer reviews where they stated that they got a lemon of a set (dark spots in the corners was a common issue) with the 2018 Visio P-Series. Inspite of those reviews, I bought the P-Series.
I’ve had this TV for 4 months now ... and it’s the best TV I’ve ever owned. The picture is so clear with 1080 content ... and 4K content with HDR is unbelievable. It is not to the level of OLED ... but I only paid $1000 for a 65 inch screen where OLED’s at that size will cost double that. The remote is far more simplified and easier to use. We watch Netflix a ton and the movies we have streamed have been “glitch free”. The 4K movies look amazing - but our very good internet service may account for some of the stable video quality.
The Smartcast features and their included apps are easy to use and all my family need. It’s very easy to transition from watching cable to watching a movie on Netflix to casting a You Tube video through a cell phone.
Although the internal speakers were fine, we purchased a Yamaha 108 sound bar for $110... and that has been a perfect compliment to this TV. This is our primary TV in our Great Room ... and from sports, to shows, to movies - this TV and sound bar have surpassed our family’s needs and expectations
I’ve been fortunate as I’ve had nothing but good luck with Vizio TV’s (I’ve owned 3 now) ... and each has served me well... but I acknowledge that Vizio must have some quality control issues as there are so many people out there that have issues with all models of Vizio TV’s.
It’s a roll of the dice - but if you get one of the “good” Vizio P-Series ... you will not be disappointed in your purchase for the price paid

While this screen is not on the same level as my OLED it comes in pretty close for a traditional LCD LED. The 100 zones of local dimming really help the blacks. The factory setting is ok but with a little bit of tweaking this set can produce some nice vivd pictures.
The remote leaves a lot to be desired as does the sound. I paired this with the Vizio 5.1 sound bar to fix that.
All in all, this is a great set for the money.

I Looked around and checked the online reviews for the best tv for the money and this kept winning in it's price range. This has the full array local dimming system which gives you the better blacks (not quite oled mind you), but still really good. This covers the wide color gamut and hits 1000 nits of brightness which is fantastic. This tv is so much better than my previous non-oled 4k LG. If you are looking for a good place to check tv reviews, you may want to start at RTINGS.com as they currently have 193 sets evaluated. Yes, the "a" is missing from there website.
