Literally best bang for the buck!
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.TLDR: If you have around $1,000 to spend on a TV, you won't find a better TV. The Sony Bravia 950f (I think it is) would have been our next pick of we wanted to spend more. Our old HD flat screen died so I did a lot of research, and all things pointed to this TV. The best part of this TV are both the price and the fact that it has back lighting with some 100 zones (I think). This makes the blacks much deeper in general. Sometimes there will be light halo effect around bright objects that are small, because the limited lighting zones. Truth is I never even notice it because the picture looks so good! You have to double the price in Samsung to get even close in quality. Blueray looks fabulous. The HDR support on the PS4 really drives up the game quality (when available). Only difficulty is trying to find the perfect setup between my receiver (that seems to have some difficulty passing through HDR?), my Hopper, with its remote, and the TV to make it easy to switch between inputs. Set up and installation was incredibly easy and straight forward. It does have virtually no bezel so moving it and unpacking it was a bit delicate. Once it was mounted on the wall, the rest was easy. I am looking forward to a long beautiful life from this thing!

Stunning hardware & picture
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This is a really great TV. You get some extremely premium features (deep blacks via 100 different backlighting zones; almost no bezel; metal highlights instead of all-plastic; ultra color spectrum; high refresh rates; etc.) at a very reasonable price point. I've been blown away by the picture quality and the general attractiveness of the TV in my living room. Advice: mount it, hide your cords, and get an Apple TV 4K.

Vizio 4K HDR Smart TV (P65-F1)
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I didn't think I was going to like this TV as much as my LG 55" 4K tv, but it easily surpasses it. Not only does this have HDR (my older tv did not) but this also has 3 HDMI inputs that are 4K supported. It also has 2 HDMI inputs for 1080p and below, so if you have a lot of devices that use HDMI, like I do, this is a good TV. To top it off, it's also has Chromecast built in, which makes it controllable via Google Home devices, which is pretty nifty. It also has decent test scores on rtings.com, which is also a plus.

Great TV up to day 17
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I was warned against Vizio but still went with them because of the early reviews on the P65-F1 and really regretting it now. The picture quality was great before it started acting up and we were Initially very pleased. Vizio support was a joke the first time I tried them and after not hearing back in the time frame they gave me tried again and had a lot more success. It's still going to take them 3 weeks to get me a refund. Good luck to the gambling man. Pros: -Picture quality - granted your backlights keep working -Games looked great -Sleek design -Small bezel -Good amount of inputs -Lots of configuration in the menus Cons: -Horrible speaks, could have saved the consumer some money and not bothered. You will need a sound bar or another type of external speaker. -Can't add additional apps can only be cast to the tv. -Backlighting stopped working after 17 days -Vizio support is a lottery

A Mixed Bag
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I was very excited about this TV when I first started seeing reviews for it from sites like rtings.com. It seemed as though it had just about everything you would want from a 4K TV. Sure, it has HDR10 and Dolby Vision, as well as full array local dimming. From the specifications, it seems like the perfect TV at a great price. I'll start with the good. This TV has great motion handling. The Reduce Judder option creates very little artifacts and provides nice, smooth motion for movies and TV shows. The full array local dimming really helps to make bright scenes pop and helps to display very deep blacks. This really creates a nice picture. The TV also has good HDR performance for games and movies. The colors look great, very lifelike. Another plus is that this TV has 5 HDMI inputs. That's probably the most you will find in a TV. Now for the bad. The upscaling of cable/satellite TV is not very good. Other TV brands have better upscaling of lower resolution content. If you watch a lot of cable or satellite TV, you might want to steer clear of this TV. The image is a bit too soft and sometimes blurry. The "smart" interface is pretty bad. It's sluggish and bare-bones. Don't expect anything like Roku provides. Also, the videos can take a while to load and once they do, expect a while longer before they even hit HD quality. While the full-array local dimming can help provide a great looking picture, it can also create some annoyances. While the camera pans, you will notice the zones lighting up and dimming. It becomes distracting. Light bleeds into the picture when it shouldn't. You will want to use the low setting for SDR content. For HDR, you should use Medium. You will still see the issue, but it's not too terrible and the FALD will help display HDR content better overall. The screen uniformity on this TV isn't great. I have quite a bit of the dirty screen effect and vertical banding. My previous P65-F1 (I did an exchange with Vizio support) had jailbars (vertical bars of light caused by the FALD) as well as dirty screen effect. This is common in large LED TVs, but I feel mine is a bit too noticeable for me. I previously purchased the TCL R615 from Best Buy. That TV had better HDR performance and my specific unit had less of the dirty screen effect and vertical banding issue. The TCL was also better for watching cable and satellite TV. The reason I exchanged the TCL for the Vizio was because of the 120 hz panel and the fact that Rtings gave the Vizio a better rating. I wish that I had just kept the TCL. Overall, the Vizio P65-F1 is a mixed bag. There are some good things about this TV, but the problems with it stop me from enjoying it. I wish I had just kept the TCL R615. Do yourselves a favor and just get the TCL. The Vizio isn't worth the extra money.

Great picture but glitchy
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The tv has good picture quality as stated by team members at best buy. As having bought a vizio in the past and having issues with glitching and freezing we asked several times about any issues common with this brand since the last time we purchased a vizio. This tv will not shut off when you hit the power button on several occasions and randomly the screen will show nothing but lines of colors and static. We should have bought the warranty up front for geek squad but based on company warranty and feedback we decided to wait to see if any issues arose. About 3 weeks after purchasing these issues arose and by then best buy told us it was to late to purchase the warranty after day 15.

Best bang for the buck
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Like many others, I did extensive research for a good 4K TV before pulling the trigger. I was a little leery about the Vizio brand and quality, as I typically consider Vizio to be more of a 2nd rate performer. But all the professional reviewers gave this TV high marks and comparable performance ratings to other much more expensive TV’s. The picture on this TV is amazing...especially in 4K. I streamed Blue Planet II in 4K from Netflix, and my jaw almost high the floor with how vibrant, clear, and colorful everything looked. Sports show well on this TV, with fairly crisp movements. You can adjust blue and judder in the setting. I have both set at 5, and it seems to work well. As most reviewers say, the smart menus and speakers are not the strong suit of this TV. But I’m not sure anyone expects expansive sound from a thin TV. You need a sound bar or surround sound system...for every big TV these days. Hook up a Roku or other streaming player to get the best in that arena. I am very pleased thus far with the $900 I spent on a 65 inch TV that is comparable to other TV’s that cost 50-100% more on price.

good middle of the road UHD TV
||Posted . Owned for 1.5 years when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I was looking for a middle of the road 65" UHD TV and this is where I landed and am pretty happy with its performance for the most part. My only complaint would be viewing on an angle, however my research revealed this before my purchase and was not a deal breaker. Solid blacks, good color and motion with pleasing aesthetics.

Great picture with some small caveats
||Posted . Owned for more than 2 years when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Overall this is a great set. Outstanding color and clarity in 4k. Only real downsides to the picture are the dirty screen effect and the visible backlight grid during bright scenes, especially when the camera pans over the sky. If you can live with that then it's worth it. Gaming is good on this as well.

Excellent TV
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Purchased in January of 2019. Was a bit skeptical after coming across lots of poor reviews. After nearly two months of owning this TV I'm still extremely happy. Picture is clear and very bright. Handles motion well in my opinion. Having 5 HDMI ports is very nice. Have had no issues whatsoever and would recommend to anyone who asks. My only gripe would be that the smart interface (Viziocast) isn't great. It's usable, but I ended up using my Roku instead

Great TV for the price
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I’ve had the tv for about a month and really have few complaints. The picture is great with 4K content, the blacks are so black that it is difficult to tell when the tv is on in a dark room. If I was to be critical it seems like during sporting events there seems to be a bit of motion blur but I probably wouldn’t notice it if I wasn’t looking for it.

Love it!
||Posted . Owned for 1 year when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Went to rtings.com and did the research, this tv has a very good review! Very deep blacks, sturdy metal legs. Rtings.com rated this tv better than other brands that cost 50% more. The main drawback with this tv is the viewing angle if you go far off to the side, but I love this tv and I'm very picky when it comes to my electronic toys. No qwerty remote, but you can buy them on ebay for $10 that work just fine.

Great picture... for some things.
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Great picture of the content is 4K. Others come out pretty splotchy and pixelated. True black is pretty bad in my opinion. But for the size and price, worth it. FYI Hulu live can’t be played through the tv’s app. You need Apple TV (like what I have) or roku, amazon fire etc.

Excellent TV for the money
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This Vizio model was rated highly for this level of 4K TV. I bought in as an alternative to the Q6 Samsung model. On sale this Vizio was $400 less. The picture after calibration is excellent. Local dimming gives the picture very good contrast and black resolution performance. We’ve watched movies via HDR...excellent. Variety of programming is also very good.

Fantastic display
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Researched a TON of reviews before I made my purchase. I kept coming back to this. The TCL p series kept coming up as well for me. I kept falling back on this unit. The refresh rate was better. The gaming on this display is outstanding! I can not notice any lag. Bright, vibrant screen. Great HDR tech.

great budget tv
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This Tv is a must buy if you are on a budget and still want great picture quality and true 120hz refresh rate. Look up any tech review website and this TV is only rivaled by higher costing QLED's. The only negative aspects I've encountered is some flickering on hi-res videos like Blue Planet. Other issue is the tv will shut itself off.

Great tv for living room if viewed directly on
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. It's a great tv when viewed from directly straight on. Good blacks and colors. Where the tv falls short is when being viewed from an angle. The screen becomes washed out and colorless. So unless you are buying for a direct on view like I was do not purchase this tv and upgrade to either the 900f sony(2018) or whatever oled you can get.
