    Best Tv

This is by far the best TV I've every owned. The price for the features is a no brainer. I've bought Vizio TV's for years no and they have yet to disappoint. The Quantum P leads the pack.

This was arguably the best mid-budget TV of 2018. And PQ today still holds up compared to current mid-budget offerings.

    Amazing Value

This TV is the number 1 rate TV by Rtings.com for HDR and standard video games. It's also toe to toe with the OLEDs on black levels. Be warned, the picture is BRIGHT. I use it in a dark basement, and turning the backlight up to 100 is probably damaging to one's eyes....like staring at the sun. I've brought the backlight setting back down to 50, which is still very bright. White scenes make me wince somewhat still. This TV would be perfect for a bright room. Watching Netflix in Dolby Vision is pretty amazing. No quality issues so far with the Quantum...I had the regular P65-F1 before this, which had HDMI UHD problems. I returned it for that reason. Overall, you won't find a better TV for the price...possibly at any price. The closest competitor is the Samsung Q9F, but it's more than 2x the price.

All the reviews I've read were worth the hype. It looks awesome in my living room, I'm blown away by the picture quality at this price. Shame is that I bought mine too early before the promo price by BB. In all I'm very happy with my TV

    Pretty good

Picture quality looked good.. Color vibrant and blacks are super black. But compare to the p series I wasn't impressed. The p quantum is a nice looking set but not at an extra $1000 for quantum dot... I was comparing it to my x900f 65" and the difference was barley any at. At times colors look a little more popping and then it didn't... The q quantum is definitely brighter but now I kow that isn't necessarily a good thing... Even with adjustments games a times looked too bright that would kill some details that I can clearly see on the x900f... So x900f won me over for picture quality clarity and features... And 1 thing also is that hdmi port 1 didn't want to work with hdr.. Not good... . Customer service said it should work

Hello Dalot, there are many picture settings in this TV that can affect the brightness and picture quality and may help to produce a visual experience that you would prefer. Biggest this if you believe the picture may be too bright would be to switch to calibrated of calibrated dark picture modes. These modes will help adjust the picture to darker rooms. If you would like assistance in finding the picture modes that may work best for you or other issues please contact our customer service again at 877-878-4946 so that we can assist. VIZIO

    Great TV

I decided to upgrade from my existing 60 inch to the 65-inch P-Quantum and I have not been disappointed. The design features a screen that practically is edgeless so the tv itself is not as large as other models. The picture quality is unmatched and the smart features are great. I love this tv.

    Great Picture & Great Colors!

    Posted .

The wide gamut picture produces better greens and reds than any TV I've ever owned! Colors look great watching NFL games or streaming Netflix: everything looks better with sharper colors! This TV looks bright enough to use outdoors... I placed it in a well-lit room and watch it in "calibrated mode" (the brightest default setting is "vivid") switching to "calibrated dark" at night. The 192 LEDs really do make for bright highlights in any mode. The built-in over-the-air tuner works well and had no trouble locking onto my local channels when connected to an indoor HDTV antenna. Over-the-air picture looks great as mentioned above. Two minor criticisms are that the remote appears to be an afterthought and there are no channel +/- buttons on the physical TV (only power, input, and volume controls). Additionally, the viewing angle does fall-off beyond about a 45-degree angle, but with such a large screen this only would be an issue in a very large room. Overall, the Quantum Dot nanocrystals, ultra-bright viewing, and HDR combine to make a great TV. It's worth seeing in-person!

Best Overall Picture on a TV

    Posted .

I purchased this TV from another retailer due to Best Buy not having it anymore. Got to say this TV has the best picture quality I've ever seen. It gets very bright, too bright in some cases but displays HDR/Dolby Vision content excellent. The viewing angle does slightly deteriorate when off center but it's not bad. It has the best black levels of any LED TV out there except OLED but from what I've seen in the reviews, it very closely approaches OLED and is not far off. There is slight blooming around letters that are bright and so finding the right settings may take you some time. Overall, you won't be disappointed with this TV.

    Wait Till Next Year

    Posted .

I was anticipating this tv for over 6 months. Three months after release it went on a significant sale. When does a tv's high-end set drop so much, so quick? Never, that's when. I was leary seeing the sale, but went with it anyway. After seeing the "professional" review online, saying it was on par with tv's double it's price, I felt more at ease about the purchase. Being a field supervisor for a large cable company, I figured I could iron things out. Nope! The tv looks horrendous out of the box. So if you're a person that doesn't adjust any settings, don't even glance in this direction. It took me over a WEEK to dial in the colors perfectly, and that's even trying the "calibrated" settings online, which didn't help much. I was replacing a 2014 Vizio M series 4K, 65" (with no HDR) with this Quantum. This new tv was actually worse in key areas. The picture for a cable signal, which are terribly compressed signals to start with, was abysmal. Any 720p or 1080i signal just looked worse than my 2014 M series. The M series I had, which is also 4K, has a much better upscaler. This Quantum degraded a cable signal worse than I've ever seen. It takes the bad parts of the signal and amplifies them. To get the picture to be watchable I had to turn off full array local dimming (fald), which it one of the selling points of 192 zones. Next problem was the ethernet adapter for the tv and how it runs apps. Another step backwards. I have my tv hardwired, not wireless, and if I put on Vudu or Netflix the tv would start at 480p, then after a minute get to 720p, then slowly 1080p. Eventually it made its way to 4K but then HDR took even longer to kick in (This is with a 200 Mbps internet connection btw). Where as my M series would immediately snap on a 4K image. Being this happened with a direct hardwired connection, I would guess wireless to be worse. This was the biggest reason it went back. The build quality was cheap, but passable. I know I'm in the minority here, but I don't mount the living room tv. The legs have to be jammed up into a slot and the screw holes would not line up properly. You may not want to mount this tv right away either because you may be returning it. Brightness.... Way too bright. You basically have to have a setting for day and a setting for night. Because at night time it feels like you're looking at the sun. There's really not a good universal way to set it and who wants to keep switching settings around? Gaming looked great with the Xbox One X and the regular PS4. You don't even need to use the low input lag port (port 5), which isn't 4K. Although it looked good, it did take a significant amount of time to fine tune the settings between the tv and the consoles themselves. Sound... I actually found this to be one of the tv's strengths and it's not even that good. The dialogue was good, though the sound flat overall. But that is to be expected with tv's nowadays, with speakers behind the tv. A soundbar or AV system isn't necessary, but advised. Last but not least, the picture wasn't a significant improvement over a 4 year old M series 4K with no HDR. Therefore, not worth the investment, even with the sale price of 25% off. At full price I wouldn't not consider this tv at all. There's just too many problems. Being this is Vizio's first crack at a Quantum tv, they had to cut some corners to keep the price down. They just cut too many corners and all in the wrong places. They also don't have the experience in making this type of set. Hopefully next year will be better, and come in a 75". If you're replacing a 65" with this 65", don't even bother. You'll give yourself a headache and wonder why you didn't listen to the "cable guy."

Hello Tech, Thank you for your detailed review. The HDMI 5 port is 4K capable however it is not HDR compatible as it is designed for low input. This port can also support 1080p@120Hz for gaming. VIZIO

Great picture but build quality issues

Pro: Great picture, especially in 4K HDR Cons: Legs do not properly fasten to TV (screw holes do not line up) Remote control is junk (feels cheap, doesn't light up, etc.). Need to exchange for another unit due to issue with legs. Appears to be a manufacturing defect.

Defective or Poor HDMI / UHD - Beware

    Posted .

My unit arrived and is unable to play UHD content without the input cutting out and reloading - this happens on every HDMI port with a high speed HDMI cable I bought just to make sure it wasn't my cable. Vizio warranty support is terrible, so I had to send it back - very disappointing.

    GLITCHING

This TV keeps glitching and stopping on any apps. Its happened three nights in a row. The remote is a complete piece of junk and it takes like 45 seconds to simply change channels when watching over the air. The sound constantly messes up. The picture is very good and bright, but that is about all this TV has going for it. I am returning it
