I am a High end Home AV installer and exposed to the very best and latest gear on a daily basis. I still have to pay for my own gear. I bought this tv because of the picture quality. Its no an LG Oled but it also isn't buggy like the LG. The picture is as good as the Samsung hot stuff and does not have the horrible off axis washout that seems to be their trademark.. So for my eye a great picture.
Now for the big diff. This TV has Analog (RCA Plugs) out. It has the usual tosllink and also coaxial digital out as well but the big deal is the RCAs. I make my own speakers. Its a hobby born of necessity. I have worked with the truly exceptional gear and can't afford what I want. This TV allows me to take a pretty good analog output into a nice Pioneer Elite integrated amp and Voila, great stereo audio for my concert video collection. Its my time machine.
Second neat feature. I watch lots of streamed content like the SloMo guys but when I put a movie in my bluray player or turn on my game system, the new source is selected automatically. When I turn on the bluray it reverts by to the apple TV.
I son't use the streaming function built in. We never set that up in the TVs we install. Its a recipe for trouble. So I can't speak to the streaming ability. Good value but I don't like the feet very much. There had to be a negative, right? Or no credibility.
