Some very strong reasons to purchase, some not so strong. The picture is wonderful. OLED is the only way to go if your want is black blacks and vibrant colors. 5 stars for picture quality. All OLED panels are made by LG. I had both the LG and Vizio in my home at the same time. They are priced the same. The LG has a soap opera effect. Images are over analyzed and cold looking. The Vizio has a warmth to the images. Both myself and wife could see the difference. The issues with the Vizio are in the software department. Read outside reviews and blogs. I run all streaming through my DVD player so I have no issues streaming or gaming. My issue is the lip sync is off on DVD’s. Annoying. Many posts about this. Also, if I change a disk on my DVD it changes inputs, goes to HDMI two? Really? There are fixes online but they work for some people and not others. Surprised Vizio can’t correct these problems through updates. Based on the shear volume of complaints it apparent they have no solution.

I bought this unit open box with some concerns about open boxes, When trying to install it I got black screen, no power, I return to the store and Best Buy took care of it very professionally they give me a new one and at the same sale price, very happy l, now this new one is amazing tv oled Is the best, the only negative is smartcast from vizio but anyway worth the money, I had tried others TVs before and oled is superior vs high end qled panels, another thing to consider about this tv is super delicate, is very heavy and thin and seems very fragile, definitely it will need 2 persons to handle the 65”, the reason I don’t give this tv a 5 stars is the sound, the speakers are small and don’t produce rich enjoyable sound for a tv at this price range, my 4 years old $650 Samsung 6 series performed better sound, you will need a sound bar

I’ve never owned a Vizio tv and was very excited about getting this model after reading about it. I actually went to the warehouse to pick it up on the first day it was available for purchase and pickup. Unfortunately despite delivering an amazing picture hence the three star rating I had several problems. From the onset I would get black screen when changing inputs, or when turning the tv on or off in a short period of time. After a few soft resets, and reboots I was finally forced to do a factory reboot which didn’t resolve my issues. Coupled with the problems I mentioned earlier the transition from the Home Screen to live tv lagged terribly, and when changing channels in some instances it took as long as 10 seconds for a channel to populate on the black screen. What I noticed was if you are on the Home Screen or using an app when changing the input from Smartcast to live television the information bar across the top of screen would flash twice. The first time showing that you were going into Smart Cast and then flash a second time showing the channel number before showing the picture. I contacted customer support and based on our conversation and his recommendation I returned the tv and exchanged it for another one. When I retired the tv the sales person brought to my attention I had the wrong cord and that the tv required a polarized cord. I explained that the cord he had was the cord that came with the television. After giving it some thought I realized that the cord could have been the source of some of the recurring symptoms. When I received the second television and before set up I checked the power cord. The cord was not only a different cord than the the first, but also not a polarized cord. I contacted Vizio support and explained the situation. I told him that not once but twice I have received the wrong cord and the importance of having one if it was required. He said he understood and said they would send me a proper cord. In the interim I used the polarized power cord from my Vizio sound bar from another television to set up the television. While it fits a better cord would be a right angle or 90 degree polarized cord. Needless to say while a few things were better the processor lag was worse when moving from apps to live tv or toggling through movie choices on Netflix. Despite numerous factory resets the problems continued and I finally gave up when watching a local tv and trying to raise or lower the sound the delay was so bad I decided to return it. The symptoms where the same with Smart Cast apps and while a factory rest corrected the problem the others did not go away. Imagine toggling your remote to raise or lower the sound and nothing happens and then seconds later without doing anything the sound goes up or down as many times as you had tried on the remote. I video taped the problems to show Best Buy when I return it. In the end I think it could be a great product but there are clearly some quality control issues and during my first conversation with customer support the tech told me the tv was too new and he didn’t know much about. He did assure me that the things I experienced were firmware issues and that he would pass the info on and they would be fixed in time. For the record I only watch local television, Netflix, and YouTube videos. In addition, I’m not a gamer, I don’t own a DVD player, and I didn’t have anything connected to the either tv other than an Ethernet cable (150mps), and a coax cable for an antenna which is mounted in my attic in lieu of outside.

I've had this TV for about a month now in the 65" and the picture is pretty amazing. Obviously get some good HDMI cables rated for at least 18. I was using a 10 year old hdmi cable and could see pixels a bit. Bought one of the 4k Rocketfish cables to go with it along with a Sony UHD Bluray player and WOW! Amazing picture quality and I'm finally getting a 4K picture. Even older dvds that I play on it look much more sharp. My only complaint is sometimes the online features of the TV are a little off and the screen mirroring doesn't always work. When it doesn't work, it seems the only fix is to turn off and unplug the TV for a moment and then power it back on. Are they like computers and need restarting sometimes or did I get a faulty one? Time will tell and THAT'S why you buy the 5 year warranty. If you're soending this much on a TV, you may as well buy the warranty.

This is easily the best TV I’ve ever owned. This tv has some of the darkest darks I’ve seen, and also it gets plenty bright enough for daytime use. I have read that oled’s typically are pretty dark. Standard tv is upscaled to 4k and honestly I am pretty pleased with how it looks. I have an 2018 p series in my bedroom and there is a huge difference in how they process 1080p. I was originally going to purchase the P65QX-H1, but because it never showed up at Best Buy, I decided to purchase the 65 inch Oled. I also went with an extended warranty so I was covered for burn in later on down the road. Insulation was super easy and once it was up and running, I went through the menus to find that Vizio had already pre-calibrated certain settings so there wasn’t much tweaking I had to do. I am also a gamer and found that playing on Xbox one X seems to run smoother than my last set up. It will be interesting to see how the new systems will work on this tv. A few disappointments are that it doesn’t have SmartCast 4.0 yet. It also did not come with the new voice Remote control that was previously advertised earlier this year. One last issue is there was one scene “in a movie I watched”, that began to judder for a few seconds. I was not sure if it was the tv or just a glitch in the signal going to the tv. It only lasted 2 seconds and went away. To me those are pretty small issues for such a good tv.

This TV has an amazing picture! My only complaint is it doesn't seem very compatible with my Sony AVR STR-DN180. I replaced the cable with a 48gbs which seemed to fix my issues for a bit but they later returned. When enabling HDMI CEC the TV constantly switches the receiver input to "TV" and when I power the TV and Receiver off somehow the TV is still sending a power on signal to my receiver. I disabled HDMI CEC and everything works fine. I have a universal remote, so it's not a huge deal but hopefully it's fixed with firmware updates.

Heart TV for the price. I first bought the LG BX OLED and it was too dark like really dark. So I returned that and bought this. The picture is amazing and the brightness is way better than the BX. The TV does have its bugs and of course I had to deal with a power issue in which Vizio replaced the TV after a few calls. The mew TV is working a lot better. The only thing keeping me from giving this TV 4 or 5 stars is it’s still not playing nice with the Xbox series X 4K 120hz VRR. They just updated it and the tv works no problem if I set the Xbox to 4K 60hz with the VRR. Vizio promised an update and just waiting on that and then I’ll update this review.

Truly fantastic television - best Dolby Vision HDR

So, 48 hours in and I can say this about the Vizio OLED H1: 1) The TV is stunning when displaying Dolby Vision content. I have had three LG OLEDs and a Sony OLED - this TV hands down processes Dolby Vision HDR content better than ALL of them. Like wow wow wow blown away wow. 2) SmartCast isn't as bad as everyone makes it out to be. Don't get me wrong - it's not fantastic (lol) - but it has almost all of the main apps folks use, and if you need more apps you can cast from your smartphone both via AirPlay and Chromecast. The overall TV software (including SmartCast) just needs an overhaul. Menus need a fresh coat of 4K HDR polish with HD icons, etc. Everything works currently - it needs a bit more “flare” if that makes sense. 3) Non HDR content looks fine and the TV upscales it beautifully. I sub to YouTube TV and have had no issues watching live TV streams on the TV at all. I also sub to Philo and it looks really good. 4) The new Chromecast with Google TV worked kind of like poop with this TV (I also hooked it up to my 4K LG UltraGear monitor and it was super judders so I don't think it was the TV's fault at all). On the TV it would bounce back and forth doing Dolby Vision or not, would stutter a bit, etc. - wasn't a fan and brought it back right away - perhaps I got a bad Chromecast. 5) The Apple TV 4K works brilliantly. Aside from having a little blip in the very beginning where Dolby Vision wouldn't kick on (only HDR 10 would unless I set the entire unit to Dolby Vision). After I set it to Dolby Vision for the entire OS, played a DV movie, got out of it, set it back to 4K SDR for the OS, and went back to the Dolby Vision film, everything worked. I thought it was just the Vizio, but when I hooked up my Apple TV 4K to my LG C7 in the bedroom it did the EXACT same thing. It's an Apple related bug and it has been reported :). 6) Gaming on this television is, simply put, BRILLIANT. We are a PS4 / Switch household and both work flawlessly. I have not had a single issue. I do wish it would have auto detected Game mode when I changed to the appropriate HDMI, but alas it did not and I had to set the PS4 and Switch input to game. The TV remembers so you only have to do it once. That said, the input lag we were experiencing on the Sony A9F is completely, absolutely, and utterly GONE on both systems. Ghosts of Tsushima looks incredible, and Final Fantasy VII: Remake’s visuals simply blew me away. 7) I was freaking out so hardcore before buying this because of all of the issues people have reported. I can say that so far, I have experienced three "bugs" - the first was when I set up the TV for the first time both AirPlay and Apple TV app didn't work. Overnight the TV must have done something because the next day it worked perfectly. The second issue was with the raised blacks that folks have talked about. I noticed it only when watching Ready Player One on Apple TV 4K in the TV app (bought on iTunes, 4K Dolby Vision, etc.). When we were watching The Haunting of Bly Manor on Netflix last night the raised blacks were not present (also Dolby Vision content). The last issue was when I tried to turn the TV back on and it simply would not turn on (regardless if with the remote or the button on the TV itself). I had to unplug the power cable and plug it back in. Then everything worked fine. This happened only once. These are all the bugs I have experienced and I am confident that Vizio is going to squash them with firmware updates (all that matters now for me is the raised blacks bug). In summary, if you are on the fence, don't freak or worry about this TV. Unless you are a professional calibrator, only hunt for absolute perfection, etc., this TV will FAR exceed your expectations. I can't speak for Xbox users, but PS4 and Switch owners will be super happy as it works perfectly fine. I went ahead and did buy a 4 year warranty just in case anything happens down the line. For now, I am going to enjoy the TV immensely. I am enjoying it so much, actually, that I am selling my 55 LG C7 in the bedroom and will be getting another one of the OLEDs for the bedroom :). Woot woot! One more weird thing - I have a Vizio 5.1 sound bar in the living room and I swear to you, the sound is BETTER than it was on my A9F. I can't explain why as nothing has changed, but honestly the rear speakers sound SO MUCH BETTER with this TV. It's like I got a new sound bar :). Enjoy all! ^_^

All in all I’m very satisfied with this tv. Gaming on my series x looks immaculate and movies are stunning. Not having HBO max is kind of a downer but as others have said you can air play it from other devices. Something I have been having an issue with is that sometimes it will turn on like it should and other times it just doesn’t respond when pressing the power button on either the remote or back of the tv, I’ll unplug it and plug it back in and press the power button and it will work fine. I plan on calling geek squad or any other appropriate person to call about it. I really like this OS over the Phillips tv I had before this one.

This is the best OLED tv on the market currently, unless you have 30 grand burning a hole in your pocket. It does currently have some bugs. The luminescence reverts to it's default setting everything the tv is restarted. Sometimes it needs to be power cycled because it will not turn on. Vizio is aware of these issues, and hopefully they are working on it. Also 4k 120hz VRR just does not work currently. And the Vizio smart software is bad at it's best. However you will have a better time finding a better tv

PQ on this Oled is amazing..i took it out of the box, put the stand on it, then after setup I just chose the calibrated picture mode and WOW! Watched football all day and then GOT on hbo that night and everything looked outstanding. Gaming on Xbox series X looks great..only issue was 120hz gaming with vrr would sometimes cause the tv to not want to turn on after shutting it off. 60hz with vrr didnt cause any issues. I am glad to say, Vizio just released a firmware update that fixed the 120hz bug and now this tv is rockin.

Overall, the image quality of this TV is good. But over time, I and others have seen various issues pop up. The primary reason I purchased this TV was to prepare for the impending release of new consoles that support 120hz signals with VRR. Out of the box, VRR is entirely broken. Vizio has stated they will fix this via firmware, but still a disappointment for this to not be working out of the box. There are a few other strange issues, like Dolby Vision video feeds from an Nvidia Shield TV pro causing a signal breakdown with the TV. Raised blacks are also an issue, and glowing while fed a black screen signal. All issues that shouldn't exist on an OLED. I still have some time in my return window, and I would hope Vizio acknowledges some of the issues that are being identified so we can see a fix quickly. This TV has potential, but I may end up returning it unless we see an update soon from Vizio.

I purchased this tv open box. I read the reviews before buying and I'm satisfied. It has minor software bugs but for the 1100 bucks out the door I paid, the price is right. This vs the LG is a matter of if you play video games. The Vizio is better overall in content consumption and picture processing. The lg is best with gaming. The Vizio offers tons of support for different high definition content output while LG falls short. In other words watch 4k content on this. Watching YouTube in various 4k formats actually shows whether the camera is good or trash. That's how good it is. For my use this gets a solid B+ when the software gets on the up and up I will give it an A+

I bought 2 of these TV's. I want to give them both 5 stars because the picture is great. However, they both, within a couple days of each other, have had to be rebooted several times. In the middle of watching TV (FiOS) the screen blinked, went gray, and then opened back up on the Smartcast screen. Software is up to date on both TV's. Recommendation from online and VIZIO was to reboot. No issue after 2nd reboot on both TV's. If it happens to again before the date Best Buy is allowing for returns in January I'll be taking them both back.

Very pleased, purchased Oct 30, 2020 at $1499.99 night and day from any LCD panel. Enjoy the simplicity of the menu and settings, calibrated or dark calibrated hits mark - makes it that much easier to hit the mark as director intended. Couple tweaks here and there depending on the age of movie or type of SDR, HDR, HDR10+ or Dolby Vision. It all depends on the quality of the signal your receiving to begin with. Picked up Panasonic's DP-UB50-K when price dropped to $99.99 to enjoy HDR10+ content, blu-ray upscaling is awesome as well and even a great job with regular DVD. Once again the simplicity of the change settings, the TV does the rest. Already purchased a player a few years back that that has Dolby Vision. The more change settings, the more one has to fiddle to get a best picture. HDMI - if any issue check the cable, I had a couple older cables, once replaced with a true 2.0 - 18 mbps cable all was good. Had some hand shake issues with my receiver, then trying to connect audio only from the 4k player to audio in receiver, so just ran the HDMI from TV to receiver and ARC, EARC took care of that issue and even Dolby Atomos is passing through with no issues. Receiver is receiving, 4k players are sending audio video with no issue. I'm not a gamer so can't help you out there - getting 24hz, 60hz and with the Panasonic even 1080p 2k depending on format 4.4.4. (displays on Picture Settings, Input settings per TV menu... Gamers, there's some articles and reviews out there that one hdmi 2.1 is only 40mbps, VIZO has been steadily improving firmware and as advertised it always has been 48 mbps. Latest firmware ver. 5.10.15 dealt with the issue (thank you VIZIO for the continued support). This update even fixed the issue of not being able to display receiver menu settings on the panel - nice fix. (thank you VIZIO for the continued support). The oled panel is amazing. This replaced a Samsung 40’ led and the difference was night and day. Content looks great at the screen in a dark room due to the true blacks of the panel. Color is vivid and games look good too. There are a few finicky details which prevent me from giving this a full 5 stars. Sometimes the tv takes more than 20 seconds to turn on our it won’t turn on with the remote at all. I have to manually press and hold the physical button on the TV and then it will turn on after a bit and respond to the remote inputs. Besides that, I am happy with the product.

TV has ultra low profile bezel edges, good sound, incredible OLED display and great price for 65” TV. Unfortunately, every 10th time you turn it on it’s ultra dim where you can barely see the screen. Best Buy is awesome. One phone call explaining the issue and they are replacing the unit for a new one. Hopefully better luck with quality control on the replacement. So 5 stars to BB for their service and 3 stars to Visio on their quality control. If I can get the issue fixed this is a great deal for an incredible screen and nice sound 65”.

Wanted to like this TV. Tried it out for three weeks. The OLED picture is top notch. The OS is subpar when compared the likes of LG's WebOS interface. Plenty of people online have noted the bugginess it has currently (as of 12/20). The Quality Control and Customer Service left me feeling like something was left to be desired. Strange issue with Vizio NOT shipping the correct (polarized) power cord with this model - Customer service was not helpful at all in this regard when confronted about it. Has lots of promise, but traded in for the LG CX and don't see myself looking back.
