Amazing tv now that updates are rolling out

Purchased the week of Christmas. At the time, 120hz at 4k was not working correctly but vizio promised a update . And as of 12/10 the update came through that allows 120hz at 4k on both the Xbox series x and PlayStation 5. VRR is still not resolved but this issue doesn’t just plague vizio. This tv has Apple TV and chrome cast which is awesome! It also includes Dolby vision, hdr10, hdr10+ which no tv manufacture currently does all 3. Now personally I have no issue with visions SmartCast. It has every app, besides HBOmax, that I want. There’s Netflix, Disney+, Hulu, Amazon prime, vudu. The issue is you can’t download new apps, they will only come if vizio decides to with a firmware update. And speaking of updates, vizio is generally pretty good with them for up to 3 years, and with this tv being their flagship I see no issues arising that they won’t support this tv for some time to come. Now the reason why people buy OLED, this tv does them all very well. The color accuracy, the screen uniformity, and the contrast with those deep blacks, all make up for oleds lower lumen output relative to led TVs. I have this tv in a well lit room with no actual direct light but a very bright room non the less and this tv keeps up very well, mitigating most reflections amazingly. And to end it. I have had no issues with tv powering on or off and no issues with SmartCast not loading. So far this tv has been a real joy, as all my prior vizios have been. I believe with this tv being out for a few months now , they fixed almost all the kinks they were having earlier when it launched. Personal opinion obviously, but if you can wait for this tv to go back to $1500 l, like when I purchased it, you’ll have yourself a tv all your tech friends will envy. Unless they already have a OLED, then size is king

Amazing TV so far. Clarity of the picture is flawless. Easy set up and really the only issue I've had so far is the casting feature doesn't show up on my devices occasionally. I have to go under the menu and do a system reboot to turn the TV off and on (using the power button doesn't seem to affect it). I have it connected to a vizio sound bar/surround sound so that seamlessly connected which was convenient. It appears to have auto off and other burn-in protections in place so it doesn't damage itself. Overall no major issues and certainly enjoy it.

Alright, so I have had this TV for over a week now and have put it through the paces so I think its time for a review. I showed up to Best Buy fully intending to purchase either a Nanocell (LG) or Quantum (Vizio) TV. They were priced at about $1100 at the time. I just kept staring at the LG OLED tvs. Then I wandered off when the associate was helping some other folks. I discovered they had the Vizio OLEDs which I did not think would be in store. AND THEY WERE ON SALE. $1499 for the 65''. This TV is great. It definitely requires some color calibration out of the box but not much. Its an amazing picture. I stream everything so it maximizes everything. When using with an Apple TV, it automatically goes into Dolby Vision and Atmos. As true with an OLED the black is what really makes the image. Same with the near instant response rate. This makes it problematic with some content as it causes judder during smooth transitions and movements. I've looked it up and its a problem for any OLED based on the reviews I saw. Video games are amazing on this TV. The refresh rate as well as the response rate work flawlessly. I highly recommend this tv and do not know why Vizio isnt advertised as much as the other companies. I had a 70'' Vizio 3D tv from about 6 years ago and it was still working flawlessly. I have to say, I am probably sticking with them for the future as well. Only complaint is that with an OLED there is the potential for burn in. So be careful with that. This is a super budget friendly TV that performs almost as well as the LG OLEDs. Dont miss out on great value and performance! Also the UI is pretty Meh when compared to LG and Samsung.

I was super excited about buying an OLED TV and not once could I ever imagine that I would end up buying a Vizio?!?!? (no disrespect VIZIO, but my products at home consist of a different brand). Just like the other reviews, I am in love with this TV! I've had it for a couple of months now and it's been awesome. Everyone who has came to my house and seen the screen can immediately see a difference in quality. (speaking in regards to my family/friends not owning an OLED TV) A downside to this TV is the gaming aspect. Since Warzone is huge during this pandemic, I was super excited to test out the quality of gaming in this TV but it let me down real hard! It has a delay less than a second when moving your character around and anyone who plays warzone knows that this is a huge difference in the game. So I am currently playing in my other TV that I always played in before I got this TV. Overall, VIZIO did a great job with this product and the fact that the price is way below it's competitors is mind boggling! My 65" VIZIO OLED TV fits perfectly in the room that I have it in. In the future, I'll probably end up getting another one for the master room!

The picture was amazing but other than that the software is terrible. Nothing but issues, constantly shut off and had problems. The Best Buy rep recommended i but the LG instead because people constantly return these tvs. He was right i returned after a week and upgraded to the LG C1

The tv looks great and is well built. Picture quality out of the box was not where I wanted it to be. I ended up building out three custom picture settings based on the content I’m viewing and with the right settings the picture quality is astounding. I own a top of the line LG Oled and this Vizio is brighter and more vivid with the colors (when properly calibrated). The sound quality with the built in speakers are lacking but that doesn’t matter to me. I own the Xbox Series X and this tv has made next gen gaming a real joy. The colors, contrast, and hdmi 2.1 ports at full bandwidth are an added plus. I don’t play new titles at 4K 120fps often but when I do it’s nice to know the tv can handle it. There are a few bugs that I’ve experienced here and there after playing games at 4K 120 where the tv needs to be unplugged for a few seconds and then plugged back it to get them to go away. However, these bugs are never present at 4K 60fps or below. Vizio is aware of the bugs and are working on a patch that might even be out by now. Overall I was at first skeptic of the tv but have come to love it’s quality, brightness, and features. Not to mention the size. My lg is 55in and 65 and bigger is where it’s at. Go with the bigger tv. I can’t stress this enough, this tv needs to be dialed in on the picture settings to get the perfect image quality. The out of the box presets just aren’t for me but once you get the right settings in place this tv is better than the LG BX and CX.

Cons: Bad Stutter and Judder, Motion could be smoother, Buggy Software (Audio dropout, Handshake issues), High Input Lag could be better, Picture settings limited for certain formats and input devices, Wrong power cord (Non-polarized), and cheap limited feature Remote, Primary Use: Youtube TV, Hulu, Netflix, Amazon Prime, YouTube, Disney+. First of all, I'd give 4 stars, but I'm giving 5 stars out from 5 due to bad reviews when this T.V was released. It was rated unfair that time, many because the bugs on the system. These days, almost 100% of them have been resolved. Some still persistents, but easily you resolve them for ex. I wasn't able to get 4k 60hz on my tv box. So I went to the tv menu and changed the HDMI out auto to manual 2.1 and this resolved the problem. The image is phenomenal out of the box. Nothing is comparable to OLEDs. This new technology is good for your eyes. It reproduces the real images and it doesn't fatigue your eyes. I bought before this one a Hisense u7g. It's a very good tv overall, but the whites in black backgrounds tends to blurry a bit. On OLEDs they are crispy. The LG C1 is slightly better than this TV, but the amount you're paying for this one is more than worth it. You can install the tv app on your phone and have voice command what is a plus. If you're concerned with burn in pixel, I think you shouldn't be, because the Smart phones these days use OLEDs screens. Have you ever seen a burned in display on thems? So, give you a chance and grab an OLED and this Vizio is a bargain.

If I were to base this on the Picture Quality and features alone I would give it a 5 star. But, as with most Vizio products they have very frustrating bugs and quirks that you have to work through. Input issues, CEC bugs, crashes. Nothing that is a deal breaker just something that makes you annoyed when you are sitting down to chill. But, for the picture quality and price, I could live with the quirks. this is a great TV.

I’ve owned it for almost 3 years now and by far has the best picture quality I’ve ever seen on a tv…..the refresh rate is awesome and the sound Is pretty darn good for the tv being so thin, I think the only downside of this tv is that it would be extremely difficult to move it after you have set it up due to how heavy this tv is and how fragile it is

I wanted another OLED but did not want to pay Sony or LG prices for this model size. This Vizio was my compromise and a compromise is what I got. I'll just get the good stuff out of the way; the picture is great, the sound is decent, the build quality is good. On the not so good to terrible side; the software for Vizio tvs sucks compared to LG. It's slow, non responsive at times, and the menus are not user friendly. The lack of Bluetooth at this price point is ridiculous. With tax this TV is around $1800. I could have just gotten a lower end LG for that price. The last thing is that there is the USB doesn't jive with enough media formats. Most of the videos and movies I have on hdd and flash drives will not play. I have to use an Xbox or Shield to play through. The last thing is that it takes too long for this TV to actually boot up. It's way slower than my LG and Samsung. If all you care about is a great picture then go ahead and cop one of these. This TV should be $400 cheaper as a more accessible entry level OLED experience.

I got this in preparation for the next generation of game consoles. So far so good - the response time is good. The image quality is great. It has all the new bells and whistles I wanted (VRR, 120hz, Dolby Vision). Software is only OK - I don't like the input selection and I feel bombarded by trash content on the main screen. It could use a cleanup pass. The major issue I've encountered is that eARC doesn't seem to pass signal correctly. For some reason it's folding down my rear speakers into the center channel. L, R, C, and LFE are fine. LS and RS no signal, heard out of the center channel. This has to be a software issue so hopefully Vizio fixes it.

By far the worst TV I've ever owned, and furthermore likely the worst TV I've ever *used*. This is an example of a company that hasn't finished designing a product and brings it to market early, hoping to smooth out the rough edges along the way. Well, that's like 90% of what gets released these days *cough MICROSOFT cough*, but this a damning example of it. I had the foresight to buy the 5 year Geek Squad plan with it and luckily BB has seen fit to replace it for us with a LG C2 (which has a few issues of it's own, but NOTHING like the VIzio) but we dealt with it basically through lockdown and then a little extra. I'm just going to list the major issues and then go back to forgetting it never was in our home: - They don't include the right shape power cord with it. Yes, you read that correctly. The company's response? "Oh yeah, you just need to really shove it in there." Let me explain: the plug that's included has one side that's rounded, and one side that squared off. The socket on the TV is shaped to receive a plug with two round sides. They've trained monkeys in labs to work out that these shapes don't go together. Evidently the design team at Vizio needs to attend a course at that monkey lab. - It's an OLED tv that doesn't give you true blacks. But wait, you say, isn't that one of the main selling points of OLED? It certainly is, and that's a fantastic reason to not buy this TV. - Apple Homekit doesn't stay connected to it longer than 15 minutes. Probably is so offended that we tried connecting it to the network that Siri kicks it out. - The TV software is incredibly buggy and we were encountering new bugs up to the day Best Buy took it back. Run far, far away from this TV. That said, OLED is a very immature technology, and you take a gamble when you buy an OLED tv: vertical banding is endemic, and you will be lucky if you DON'T get a set with it. We have it now on our replacement LG C2, which is "the best TV of 2022." My advice? If you're dead set on OLED, buy a Sony or LG set and buy the 5 year geek squad warranty too...because you're almost certainly going to need it. And do yourself a favor and never buy a Vizio product again.

Not my favorite TV. I waited a long time to get one of these newer OLED models for the upgrades they have vs. my older HD Vizio. After almost 7 months now i have tosay i am very disappointed in this unit. It has great picture, but when gaming it glitches out hard making it unbearable to game and have fun. It has ranfomly shut off on us 3 times now for no reason and the power light stays off but the. Tv and remote wont work until its ready to come back on and the delay from the remote to the tv is horrible. For what i paid i was really hoping Vizio would have hooked me up since this is the 4th one ive owned in all, but this one has let me down. After 7 months i am trying to return it.

So, I really want to love this TV and I'm trying to give it every chance before I return it, but while the panel is fantastic, the software (and possibly even processing hardware) is buggy. Here is what I have experienced so far: blank screen when switching inputs (sometimes remedied by switching inputs again), TV randomly won't turn on (remedied by unplugging and plugging in again), poor native motion handling (remedied by upping the judder and motion blur settings, but it adds soap opera effect), no VRR support at 4K 120 (most recent update was supposed to fix this, but did not), temporary image retention (has gone away quickly, but makes you nervous). I feel like all of this could be handled by competent software, but this TV has been out for months and they haven't been able to fix this yet. I want to support Vizio because this means cheaper OLED for all, but their lack of urgency and/or competence fixing these issues makes me nervous to keep the TV because it may also mean there's a hardware issue here that no software update will fix. Still, when this thing is on the top of its game, the picture is stunning. My suggestion to you is not to buy it until they work out the issues and if you have bought it, there is a very helpful thread on AVS Forum that is keeping track of both the issues (there are quite a few more than I have experienced so far) and firmware updates. I reserve the right to change my opinion if they fix the issues, but step up your game Vizio.

The TV quality is great. The picture is AMAZING! I guess the only issue I have with it is that it acts kinda funny sometimes. My old VIZIO did this too. Sometimes the picture won't show. Sometimes it won't turn on. Sometimes the subtitles are black and I can't correct it. It's strange and somewhat rare but it's still a little annoying.
