I’ve had this TV for a couple days now, still getting used to certain features and all it has to offer. But up to this point, I am loving this television! Setup was streamlined and straightforward. The firmware updates before you can do anything and I had no issues with that. Once that was done and everything was up and running, WOW, the picture quality is gorgeous, very vivid and bright. The quality through our cable box is great, but streaming 4k movies from Netflix is crystal clear and absolutely stunning. A couple of features that I really appreciate: The TV screen has no bezel at all so the picture fills the entire screen. The legs are adjustable so I installed them in the “high” setting so I could put our soundbar in front of the TV rather than on our mantle which is a much cleaner look in our living room. The TV has an anti-reflective screen which is a big deal for us since our living room is very bright during the day. It doesn’t completely eliminate all glare in our very bright room but it does a much better job than our last TV. Of course, at night it’s a non-issue. I’m still in the process of using Vizio’s SmartCast which has a tremendous number of built-in apps. All the usual suspects are there like Netflix, Prime, Disney+, etc., plus there are a bunch I’ve never heard of with a tremendous amount of free content. One app that is missing, though, is the Spectrum app and I don’t think there is a way to add it, at least not that I could find. My wife happens to work for Spectrum so she is not thrilled with the absence of her most-used app. But the TV does have built-in Chromecast so we tried casting it to the TV and had some issues with that at first. Note to Self: you gotta pair your phone to the TV first before you can cast (didn’t see anything in the instructions about this, is this just something everyone knows they have to do except me? Possibly…). Once I figured that out my wife’s been using the Spectrum app on her phone and casting it which works well, but in her opinion it sure would be nice not to have to do that. I also really like the voice remote, super handy for searches and switching inputs. It is highly responsive with very little lag time. While we’ve only had the TV a couple of days, I will say that on a few occasions when using the voice remote it did not work. Instead I got a message saying something like ‘the Vizio servers were unavailable so try again later’. Hope I don’t see that message too much in the future. But overall, you buy a TV for picture quality and the feature set, and this television delivers big time on those attributes. For the price, I think this TV is incredible and a fantastic value.

The tv looked good until I used it more. There was a lot of haloing. While playing games you could see the separate lightning zones. HDR didn’t really work as advertised (would cause lots of flickering, lots of weird colors across the screen). I ended up taking this tv back and going with another brand. It’s a shame because I was exclusively a Vizio customer for years and I don’t think I’ll be getting another.

Hello Ttyne, at VIZIO we pride ourselves on our highly rated picture quality. Sites like CNet, RTings, and Reviewed.com consistently rate VIZIOs picture quality among the best in the industry. To make sure you’re getting the most out of you VIZIO TV, we’d recommend making sure your devices are connected with an HDMI cable, and that you’re getting an HD (or UHD) signal. You can also individually adjust your picture settings in the menu. For brighter rooms try using the Vivid or Calibrated setting, for darker rooms try ‘Calibrated Dark’. If you’d like any assistance adjusting these settings, our customer support team would love to help you dial in the TV to your preference, you can reach them at 844-254-8087. VIZIO

    Exceptional Performance and Stunning Visuals

I’ve had this Vizio 65” P-Series TV since February 2022, and it has exceeded my expectations. The QLED display delivers incredibly vibrant colors and deep contrasts, making movies and games feel immersive. The HDR performance is top-notch, especially in darker scenes where details really pop. The smart TV interface is intuitive and responsive, with plenty of apps to choose from. It has been reliable and looks sleek in my living room. For the price, it’s hard to beat the quality and features. Highly recommend it to anyone looking for a premium 4K TV without breaking the bank.

    Not PS4 compatible!

Long story short, bought this tv and hooked it up at home. Hooked my consoles up to it and the PS3, SNES classic, and Xbox One all worked just fine. The PS4 Pro kept giving me black screen. Bought a new HDMI cable, still nothing. Called Vizio support and after two hours troubleshooting with them, they tried to tell me my PS4 was broken. Turns out that for some crazy reason this model of Vizio is just straight up incompatible with PS4s. Wild. How in 2021-2022 are you making displays that don’t work with one of the two major gaming consoles?! Get it together Vizio. In the meantime, Samsung got my money instead when I exchanged the useless Vizio.

    Stunning 4K visuals

I had been thinking about a 4K TV for a while, and had been waiting to get my hands on a PS5 so I can watch my 4K Blu-Ray discs. As of this moment, PS5’s are still almost impossible to get, but I wound up having to upgrade my AppleTV, so I purchased the AppleTV 4K - now I had a reason for a 4K TV. Coming from a 4 HDMI / 3 USB Samsung TV, I kept looking for a TV that had at least 4 HDMI inputs, a TV tuner, and at least 1 USB connection for my videos taken from computer. The Vizio P-Series Quantum met those requirements. Reusing the same RocketFish wall mount required longer screws as the backing of the Vizio has more depth vs my Samsung’s flat back. A quick trip to the hardware store fixed the screw length and quickly mounted the TV (2 people are required). Not so quick to start though - upon turning on the TV it wants / forces you to connect to your internet (either via WiFi or Ethernet jack) so it can update itself. I wired in as my router is under my TV anyways. It took about 30-45 minutes (I had lost track at that point) for it to download and reboot a few times. This was very worrisome as without a power indicator (You can turn it on in the setup menu) and the screen black a few times - I couldn’t tell if the TV was actually off or on, or even frozen during an update! When it finally finished updating, it went to the SmartCast menu - which required you to agree to a very long list of terms of service agreement. I skipped and unplugged the network, as I already have an AppleTV. The TV does not like nor probably understands why you wouldn’t want to use the SmartCast menu, so it took about a half hour before it decided to stop asking me about the TOS when I would accidentally go to it. I am a fan of Over The Air local TV - to get my local channels as I do not pay for cable TV (just internet and services such as Netflix, Hulu, Disney+, Prime - with all that, no need for actual cable!). The TV tuner is a bit lacking - and it’s obvious in the remote design. There aren’t any TV buttons that get you to the TV tuner! How do you get to watch local TV? You have to press the Input button until you get to the local TV channel - obviously you’ll have to do a TV channel search during setup for this to happen. How do you change the channel? You have to press the OK button on the remote which brings up a numerical keypad and an INFO button on screen, which then you can change the input a channel you want, and scrolling to INFO will show you what channel you are on and what show you are watching, if that is available. Unlike other TV tuners, you can’t look ahead by pressing right to see what’s coming up. No TV Guide menu. ** It is possible that perhaps there is more local TV info in the SmartCast screen, but since I do not connect to internet, I don’t know. Speaking of the SmartCast screen - the TV has just about every app available to download, AppleTV+, AirPlay, and SmartCast. In other words, everything an AppleTV can do - all built in. So why bother with an AppleTV right? Well, because I have an AppleTV, and the interface for it is great, so I’m just skipping the SmartTV portion of the TV. I will say though, a feature I can use without the AppleTV - Apple Air Play - you can connect iphone/ipad to the TV without the AppleTV. This is useful when I’m watching local news I can airplay my ipad w/o having to turn on the AppleTV. The default picture settings are very bright, it looks great, but it was extremely tiring to my eyes. I wound up going into the menu and selecting Calibrated Dark, which everything still looks relatively bright, but not as tiring on the eyes as the default. This is important to me as my TV is on all day, as I work from home. 4K viewing/Dolby Vision Viewing 4K content is excellent - it is visibly different between HD and 4K content. I tested it with a few movies watching their regular HD streams vs their UHD/4K streams. Hugely different - much better looking. It is especially noticeable on 4k remasters of movies from the late 90’s - if you see the HD version, it looks like a good quality DVD. If you look at the 4K version, it looks like it was filmed using modern technology, and you know it’s the 90’s just because of the clothes. It is now weird to see a non-4K remastered “old” movie as you can see the imperfections that is not visible in the 4K. I did have to reinitialize the video setup for both the PS4 and AppleTV4K, as they were assuming being connected to previous TV, and did not look well until I did so. So remember each input should be reset for whatever device you plug in, as you can’t just switch the TV without doing so. One of the downsides of 4K? Not so much a downside but a delay - the TV will go to a blank screen and it looks like you’ve lost the video source, but it’s happening so that it can switch to 4K. Get used to 1-1.5 seconds of black screen when playing 4k content. Pros: 4k content looks spectacular HD content (for newer movies) looks better Thin borders for maximum viewing space Built in TV tuner (not all TV’s have this!) 4 HDMI ports 1 HDD USB port (there is an option in which you can tell the TV to always power this device, even if the TV is off) AppleTV, AirPlay and SmartApps built in / downloadable Cons: Power LED (found in lower left corner) off by default, can turn on in system menu. Requires internet and 45 minutes out of the box to update to latest firmware Default picture quality too bright and causes eye strain No local TV programming, TV channel info minimal HDD menu extremely minimal - if you want to watch videos you’ve recorded on a USB flash drive, the interface looks like a default android based file manager. By contrast, the Samsung TV menu looked visually better and intuitive, verses Vizio’s menu that looks like you’ve gone to the wrong menu. VIZIO tracking/TOS - this is a given, as we accept terms of service for a lot of things without really paying attention. I felt the need for another company (Vizio) to know what I’m watching and how long I’m watching unnecessary, as Apple is already has that info. So I’m just using the inputs/TV tuner and skipping the internet capabilities. However, if i did NOT get a new AppleTV, I would’ve just used the built in apps. Either way, so far I’m happy with this TV, and am getting used to the 4K blank screen switchover.

First day set it all up had problems right from the start. It wouldn’t boot up properly. Finally got it booted it looked nice until it shut off by itself. Got it working again everything going well until I start playing my Playstation 5, it kept shuting off and somtimes rebooting every few minutes making gaming unplayable. This is my second Vizio P series in less than two years. Vizio tvs are incredibly substandard. They are constantly needing factory reset, the picture quality is definitely not the quality they advertise and the interface is glitchy and freezes. I will never buy another Vizio television again. Same issues on this television (2021) are the exact issues on the television I replaced (2020).
