My search is over
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I’ve been trying to find a television with a picture as sharp and vivid as my wife’s for a few years now and that search stops here. The picture quality is fantastic for movies and games and the presets available for picture quality are terrific. I keep it set on vivid for most video games, but that can be a bit much for movies so I just pop into the menu and change to calibrated and all is well. I also am a fan of the Vizio remote app on my phone. I’ve used it for other Vizio televisions in the past and it continues to be very convenient. Particularly since my television and my wife’s sit next to each other (for gaming) and the standard IR remote for either of them can affect them both. The app allows me to change settings or power off without impacting hers. The only thing I don’t like is every time I turn it on, I have to choose between soundbar audio or television audio. I’m using the HDMI ARC port on the television and the Sony soundbar and it functions correctly for powering both devices on/off with the same remote and for adjusting the volume. I’m not certain if the selection is driven by the soundbar, the television, or something I missed during setup. Whatever the cause, it’s certainly not a big enough bother to change my feelings about this television.

Graphics and colors galore!

My husband is a big gamer, so I decided we’d try this out and see if it made a difference now that he has his PS5. We were both blown away - my husband says he feels like he’s finally playing the game the way it’s meant to be. His games no longer lag or create trails when he’s running or driving his little hovercraft thing. When he shoots the bad guys the reaction is instant, whereas before he’d waste his ammo because the game would delay the reaction from his shot and he’d think he needed to keep shooting. The transition between screens is seamless and the response rate from anything he clicks is perfect. At first I was not at all impressed with the TV picture - we have xfinity TV service, which in itself is disappointing, but I was hoping that this TV would miraculously make the picture gorgeous. It did not. But - one of the coolest features is the ability to adjust all the picture settings and then SAVE that as a picture mode! We turned the TV on to a football game and adjusted the colors, brightness, etc so that the football game was a perfect picture and we saved that mode. We changed the channel to a home show and it looked awful! But a quick adjustment to the settings again and the home show was just as gorgeous, and we just saved that as another picture mode. The installed apps are so convenient. Every service that we already use is in the TV - no need for the streaming stick anymore. Being able to eliminate another remote control is a small victory that I’m very grateful for. There are so many other features that we haven’t gotten to fully test yet but both my husband and I are already totally sold and have even recommended it to others who are currently looking for a new TV. Give it a try - I know you’ll love it just as much as we do!

Extremely glitchy
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.The TV’s video image very nice, on par with the other top brands such as Sony and Samsung. However, two main drawbacks of this TV are 1. Sound qulaity 2. Glitchy software. 1. The sound is so bad that even at high volume, it causes more a disturbance rather than a clarification to the audio and dialogue. I believe this is so because the TV’s speakers are rear firing, meaning the sound hits the back of your wall from the back of your TV and as a result, the waves do not propagate well at all. 2. The second issue, biggest for me, is the software the tv uses to operate its entire platform on. It’s as if they went with a budget friendly, off-brand platform. Think worse than roku. It’s constantly glitchy, TV requires restarting every week because some video settings stop working and apps start crashing. This wouldn’t be too bad if you could restart the tv from your remote but no. You have to get up and hold the power button on the TV down for 15 seconds. This is especially embarrassing when I have guests over. The Sonos speakers I hooked up to the TV also lose signal after a while. The TV has to be restarted for that as well. Do yourself a favor and spend a few extra hundred bucks and go with a Sony. They have the best software platform along with superb image and good audio. This is my 2nd and final Vizio purchase.

Software is severely lacking

So many glitches absolutely ruin the experience of this television. And it worsens with each "update". Not what I'd expect after paying $1K+

Nice picture, terrible software

The picture is great and works well for hd content. The problem is all of the issues. As Evans mentioned in his review, there are constant problems. At first it was just the sound and a black screen when turning on the xbox. Then i started having issues with sound anytime i switched between inputs. Now half the time i turn on my firestick, the screen is blue and i have to restart the tv. Now I am beginning to have sound issues with the sound bar I have been using for several months. At this point I have to do a hard restart on the tv atleast once a day to get any sound on any input. We have several vizio tv's in our house, all have been great until this one.

Lines on the screen. TV failed and doesn't.

I read online about the issue. The article said, the t.v. is about to fail. We made an appointment with Geek Squad to come to our home. The tech checks it out and took pictures. He told us that we qualify for a new tv through Vizio. Its been 2 weeks since the tech was here. According to Best Buy, we should have our new tv by next week.

Good tv but too many problems!

Tv has to be rebooted seceral times a day to function halfway decent. The wifi connection is complete garbage! Sometimes this like green screen pops up over my picture reminds me of a grey no signal screen. Ive contacted vizio several times woth the same dang run around story is the tv up to date …. Lets try rebooting it. With no real fix. I upgraded from a 55 inch vizio m series and i never had a single issue with it. I will not buy another vizio after this experience!
