The image is really good; however, I need to have a tech come and look at it. It gives me an error message when I turn it on and it cuts out sometimes.

Great tv for people on a budget, worked great for PS5 and normal 4k stuff. Im just so use to sony that I could see the imperfections, thought id give vizio a try and I just couldn’t do it, I returned it and went and got the oled sony. Still a GREAT tv.

Couple days after buying the tv, chromecast would not work. It’d just load and that’s about it. Tried it with different phones. Nothing. Had to reboot the tv and then it’d work. Have to do that every other week or so. It’s annoying. When I game, it’s like the screen doesn’t sync with the Xbox bc the screen begins to flash. Like when the image changes from hdr to Dolby or just standard. I have to change the input and go back to my original input so that the screen syncs and looks good. I have my direct tv connected to it as well and although the hdmi is connected good, it doesn’t read it. It says no input found. However once I reset the tv, it reads it again it’s annoying having to reboot the tv to get the tv to read the Xbox input or direct tv. I would return if I could but of course after 14-30 days things will start to fail somehow. Is what it is. Not worth the 1k I paid for.

The Vizio P-series Quantum is an excellent performing 4K television. It offers a wide array of features that enable a great movie watching experience, and it offers gamers plenty of options as well. The P65Q9-J01 model is the 65" model in the series. It has an attractive frame with good build quality, and a different set of legs than Vizio has used in the last few years. They are adjustable height for use with a soundbar, and they sit more inwards than in previous models which had their feet near the edges and made it more difficult to find stands. VESA mounting is also available for wall mounting. The remote is small and streamlined, and seems like it takes some design cues from recent Roku remotes in its simplicity. It features voice control, but it steadfastly refused to work for me, saying it required network connectivity to work. However, the TV was connected the whole time, so I'm not sure what to make of this. The display is a vertical alignment (VA) panel, which enables a high contrast ratio, further enhanced by a full array local dimming backlight. This is my preferred LCD technology for most uses because I prize contrast ratio--key to picture quality--to viewing angles, which aren't quite as good in a VA. It has a native 120Hz refresh rate. In the 65" model there are 144 dimming zones. In general I kept the dimming set to high as it enabled very deep blacks, but there was a bit of blooming around bright objects against dark background. The contrast really excels--and Vizio has been good about this for years--in making the black bars on widescreen content inky black. Brightness is excellent. It's rated up to 1200 nits, but undoubtedly that is in the vivid mode that basically no one should ever use, but in the more accurate Calibrated or Calibrated Dark settings, the TV is easily bright enough to properly show very bright highlights in HDR, which pop nicely. SDR brightness is very good as well, and together this means this TV can hold up to bright rooms as well while excelling in dark room movie watching. Additionally, this is a quantum dot TV and thus displays a very wide color gamut for HDR purposes, and the HDR format support is complete: HDR10, HDR10+, Dolby Vision, and HLG. For subjective testing I used the opening scene of The Matrix, with its high contrast between the dark rooms and very bright single lights. The Vizio P-series did a great job handling this scene in UHD. Next I used an HD version of The Godfather: the opening scene is a great test for black levels, and here the dimming and high contrast ratio performed superbly in bringing out detail in Bonsera's dark suit. Switching gears to a brighter, more colorful film, a Dolby Vision enabled stream of Pixar's Coco looked amazingly vivid and brightly colorful, showing the full extent of the interplay of the high contrast, effective dimming, and wide color gamut. In short, this is a brilliant TV for movie watching--especially in a dark room. Gamers are offered a lot here as well, especially if you're lucky enough to have one of the new consoles. The TV is a native 120Hz and supports 4K 120Hz on HDMI 3 and 4; make sure you enable HDMI 2.1 mode in the input settings for those two ports. The Xbox Series X connected to it recognized the TV supported its full range of display options, including 1440p 120Hz and variable refresh rate and FreeSync. I especially like that Vizio allows game low latency in all of the various picture presets as well as the automatic low latency mode when gaming content is detected. Games were great, with low lag and very bright HDR highlights. For content, there is no app store, but there are apps for just about every major streaming service imaginable: Netflix, Prime, Vudu, Disney+, Paramount, Hulu, etc. I doubt anyone will lack for content except for very niche apps. I found the apps very responsive and quick to load. It also supports Chromecast and Apple Airplay, so your mobile device gives you even more content options. I had a small issue initially getting it to pair with my Android phone, but once it did, casting worked well, although I believe I had a faster, better experience in the native Vudu app than I did casting from the Android app on my Samsung phone. Overall, Vizio has made a very compelling product here, one that is equally adept at being a family room TV, a dedicated movie watching theater display, or a huge gaming monitor. It has all the technical chops needed for great HDR movie watching, while supporting the latest developments in gaming tech like variable refresh rates and 120Hz support. Bright room or dark room, movie aficionado or gamer, this TV covers all the bases.

    Thin Dark Horizontal Line

Purchased new in January 2021, worked great until March 2022 when a thin black horizontal line appeared. VIZIO Customer Service was helpful in suggesting fixes (power cycle, reset to Factory Defaults) but the fixes did not fix the problem. now being told it is more economical to replace the TV rather than fix it.

I'm having an issue with the ps5 and the tv. Occasionally i get a green screen and sometimes even unresponsive black screen when the playstation is turned on. Unplugging the tv from the power source and restarting seems to be the only solution. Other then that problem the image is great the quality build is also good.
