Great Display for the money!
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Firstly I would like to say that this Is a fantastic display for the money! 75 inches Is the way to go and if your home theater has the adequate space needed you can't go wrong. I had my Vizio installed on a wall mount it's a very attractive minimalist design that really helps to bring out the decor in my theater room. Now..that being said there are a couple of gripes I must acknowledge about a display of this caliber. Panel issue and gray scale alignment: This is my second P-75 mainly due to the infamous dirty screen effect caused primarily by panel bonding in the manufacturing process. I had noticed (especially when playing racing video games) that when driving, scenes that pan from left to right show slight semi transparent veritcal lines on screen. But when you stop or you race in a straight line it's crystal clear, the same with movies.. camera pans left to right or vice versa shows slight vertical lines. I called Vizio (which has outstanding customer service by the way) decided to send me another P-75 to see if that would fix the issue but unfortunatly it was the same story, after calling again I was finally connected to someone that was familiar with the issue I was surprised to hear that the engineers considered this within the acceptable performance levels given all the other technology cramed into the P-75 display. Which incorporated in other displays would cost at least $2500.00 more to purchase. He also stated that upcoming firmware updates may help with the issue as well..nice guy. Ok..fair enough but coming from just buying plasmas for years (none of which has ever had this issue) and still using two of them I just couldn't understand with all the competition around..why would Vizio release such a great product with a inherent flaw that most videophiles would see? So, I did some research.. come to find out that most of the manufactures of LCD 4k TV's have this issue with the panels during the manufacturing process including (get ready) OLED! They haven't figured a way to make the bonding process so precise as to elimate all irregularities within the panel. That's when they perform various quality control checks to determine if it meets the acceptable margins of error/ industrial standards, yea or nea. Obviously my P-75 is a yea. It's just that the average consumer doesn't notice or it isn't enough to warrant an exchange or refund. (I can be a bit picky about these things) I asked my soul mate if she could see what I was seeing and until I actually pointed out the discrepancy she couldn't. I decided not to call Vizio again because from what I read if I've already received two separate dispalys with the same issue it's probably inherent in all the P-75 displays, It's not so bad to warrant the display to be returned again and finding out that even $6000.00 displays can have the same issue I decided to keep it! After all It trully is a awesome display and it's positives really out shine it's negatives. Facts: (for me anyway) 1.The issue is mosly apparent In racing sims but not so apparent in fighting or first person shooters. 2. Getting a UP CONVERTING 4K CABLE is a MUST! It's a 4K display you WILL get signal compression artifacts! That's a given!! Getting a reliable 4K up converting cable really improves everything you show on this fabulous device even more! Makes your blu rays and games look close to native 4k with a huge amount of signal noise and artifact reduction! (also helped with my dirty line issue.) 3. The overall picture quality beats my Panasonic 65 inch Infinate Black Pro plasma dislpay for contrast and overall black level! WOW!! 4. While I personally think the andriod/display control device Is a great idea that could possibly usher in a new way to control our display devices in the future I find myself using my Harmony remote 98% of the time. The android device is still a bit too slow and sometimes it won't connect to the display properly. Thanks for reading and Vizio keep up the great work!

TV lasted 2.5 years.
||Posted . Owned for more than 2 years when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. You would think a $3,000 TV would last longer than 2.5 years. I heard a loud pop, and the picture immediately went out. Vizio put in the least amount of effort possible and gave me the number of a tv repair shop. It's remarkable just how short of a life span a Vizio TV has. Anyone and everyone that is reading this article... PLEASE AVOID VIZIO.

Its just ridiculous.
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I've had my p75 for around 2 weeks now. I returned a Sony 850c to get this tv. Why did I do that you ask? For the same money I got hdr Dolby vision, hdr10 coming this summer and a full array local dimming with 128 zones. The blacks on this set are just sick. You will not find a better set other than oled that can display the blacks and shadow detail this set can produce. If you are considering this vizio and are torn between this one and another set do not go by the demo on this set in best buy. It really is an injustice to this set with the demo that is currently being displayed on this tv because of what it really is capable of. I'm not saying it's best buys fault but if I was vizio i would do something about it because it does not look very good in the store. I almost didn't get it because of what I seen in best buy when I first seen it. I just wasn't impressed at all. I bought this tv based on a lot of research and reviews by professionals like rtings.com. rtings.com said this set has one of the best pictures they have ever tested and I can attest to that. I've read some other reviews here on best buy about this tv. Don't listen to any review that says you can't cast 4k to this tv that is just inaccurate and they obviously don't know how casting works. I've casted 100s of 4k you tube videos to this tv and they are stunning. I like to put oled 4k demos on just because you honestly can not tell much of a difference between the two. This tv is that good. The casting on this tv works flawlessly. I highly recommend the uhd Dolby vision movies from vudu. The detail and colors are just phenomenal. I have never seen a picture with so much detail and color on any other tv. This set blows the Sony away it really isn't even close. So if you are on the fence take my word for it get this tv. Just look at ratings.com if your still hesitate.

Vizio's best tv ever!
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. After reading about the new/upgraded P series for 2016 and seeing it in person, it is hands down the best video ever made! The new HDR(High Dynamic Range) generally reserved for high-end sets costing upwards of $5,000 makes the picture look so sharp, vivid that it's like putting your hand thru a open-framed picture! There was a sy-fy demo in HDR and the scenes of space were inky black with brilliant white stars and a sun so bright that I had to shield my eyes! LG's oled display is the absolute best picture you will ever see but the 65" costs $6,000 and nearly $15,000 for the 78". This new P series looks 99% as good as the oled for a third the price which in my book is the last tv I will want/need for years to come!

I feel its going to be greater.....
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I didn't give an excellent because of a couple things. 1, right now there's a few little nitpicks with some tablet navigation, universal remote control compatibility, etc. And, there seems to be some processing issues that will possibly be worked out soon. Vizio has been very hands-on with updates pushed to the display, as well as app updates already for the Vizio Smartcast app for the tablet and phones...and, I believe it's only a matter of time before Harmony gets the remote coding correct. The picture is absolutely amazing with 4k, and even Blu-ray. HDR 4k, the little that I've viewed is SO impressive! I think I was the first to purchase the new P series from my BB, and I'm looking forward to continuing to tweak and set it in the days to come. The tech/price ratio is incredible in this new series!!!

Awesome until.....
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I purchased this based on all the reviews I researched, it is rated amongst the best picture available at the time of purchase. The TV does have an amazing picture but at 10 months I got a stuttering that would come and go, and was increasing in frequency, I contacted Vizio as it is still under manufacturers warranty, they actually replaced it with a new one, I was impressed, but after 1 day the stuttering issue was there again. I have changed all equipment and cables multiple times to verify it is the tv with the issue. They are going to send a service specialist to diagnose the tv, hopefully this can be resolved because when its working properly it is awesome. It is hung on the wall so needless to say, having to take it down multiple times isnt fun, being its such a large and heavy tv.

Great TV - maybe not for average consumer
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.TV is large (that's good) and supports all the latest formats like 4K resolution, Dolby Vision (not yet - waiting for firmware upgrade), HDR 10 and has HDCP 2.2 and HDMI 2.0a ports etc.. I wall mounted it and it looks awesome in my basement. My wife hates the remote. You have to use a tablet and this TV has no built-in apps. It does support ARC so whatever movie you cast from the Tablet (which is very nice by the way) will be able to use your A/V receiver and speakers. Now I use a Samsung 4K UHD Blu-Ray player for the apps (Amazon Prime, VUDU, YouTube and Netflix primarily) and 4k movies look glorious in their details. FYI 1080p movies also look great. I also use a Tivo and have programmed the Tivo remote to control the TV power on/off. I don't need my TV to have apps - my Tivo and Blu-ray player have all i need so love the lower price for not paying for all the extra software I do not need. Overall a great TV with a frustrating remote/tablet.

So Glad I Thought Outside the Box...Very Satisfied
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.( I waited until after my return period lapsed before writing this review ) So i’ve owned Sumsung for about a decade…wanted to maybe switch it up to Sony. The purchase of my new 75” TV was between the Sony 940D or Samsung KS9500, up until I ran into the Vizio P75 (released March 2016). At the end of the day, I could not stomach paying twice as much for TVs that could potentially give me benefits that were un-noticeable to the human eye. From my perspective, the Vizio picture quality, color spectrum, motion flow, and backlighting zones looked excellent and equally as good as the Sony and Sumsung flagship models. I loved the slim beveling design as well. Not having a tuner did not affect my purchase decision, since we have cable services through Cox and primarily watch TV in HD 1080i. Also our family does not watch a lot of low resolution content, except for some old kid DVDs that we may on occasion play. Using the Vizio remote tablet is cool and you could cast content from this devise to your TV (this is also where you access your more detailed TV configurations); however, my personal preference for streaming online content is through AppleTV with a direct ethernet internet connection. I feel that going through wifi (regardless of the TV you buy) creates extra lag that is not needed when watching 4K. There was absolutely no buffering or lag while watching 4K videos on Youtube with the direct feed; the picture quality will look extraordinary either way you decide to connect to the internet for streaming. The Vizio remote can also be used as a regular tablet and magnetic docking station is pretty nice too. I was able to reuse my AudioQuest Cinnamon HDMI cables (bought years ago for my previous TV) to connect my Bluray player and AppleTV devise…but I did splurge a little with an Audio Quest Chocolate HDMI cable to assist with cable TV upscaling of lower resolution content below 1080i, so please consider investing in some good quality cables (the more information you can pass through to the TV engine to process, the better the picture quality in general, no matter what TV you buy). There are not a lot reviews yet for the P75, so if you are on the fence about converting to Vizio, read some of the reviews for the P65 before making a decision. Also take a peek at rtings.com and other performance rating TV websites. I’m looking forward to buying my 4K bluray player very soon. I definitely feel technologically equipped for years to come with my new backlit Vizio P75, without compromising quality and breaking the bank $ !

Awesome Display for a Single User
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This Display has it all. Picture is amazing and it is loaded with all the bells and whistles. The one thing I am not entirely fond of is the tablet. On its own it is a great addition. However the tablet functions as the sole source and searching of streaming entertainment (Netflix, VUDU, etc.). There is no searching on the Display itself only the tablet. This is a large disappointment. When my friends and family are over we tend to search through Netflix (for example) and decide as a group on what to watch, Now only one person can search on a tablet. It takes away from the excitement of entertaining groups. If you are cool with that, then this Display is awesome. HDR and Dolby Vision built into the TV is a huge plus as well. Im just bummed about the lack of searching for entertainment on a large display. The last thing you want to do after using your smartphone all day is to get on a tablet to watch TV.

P75-C1
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Outstanding value and likely to be top rated for 2016. No LCD is perfect but the P75 comes the closest. Having both DolbyVision and (HDR10 coming by summer) gives this display the advantage over competitive sets costing much more. Black levels are outstanding with almost no blooming. DolbyVision content streamed in 4k over Vudu is at times stunning.

Stellar
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Perhaps my most rewarding electronics purchase ever. TVs performance at its price point is amazing. The local dimming gives excellent black level in all media I've watched except scrolling white on black credits. Color is great, with pretty decent accuracy out of the box in the calibrated picture modes. HDR and WCG are excellent. Upscaling of HD material to 4K is excellent.

Outstanding picture for most uses!
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The Vizio P75-C1 has generally awesome picture quality. Super realistic color and contrast. I have all settings set to factory default and I use the "standard" picture setting for all lighting conditions. Mostly use a 4K Blu-ray player for movies, which looks incredible, and streaming Netflix UHD, HD content which looks excellent. Also have played a recently released PS4 game and it looks/feels like I'm a character in a movie! The only, small for me, negative would be the somewhat inconvenient tablet one can use to control the monitor. I don't bother. I use the smaller remote and it's fine. I can also stream from "smart" Blu-ray player if I want. Was a little skeptical that a Vizio could be this good, but it has been so far. Overall: (5) for picture quality in UHD and HD either through cable or streaming, maybe a (3) for old SD broadcast viewing on cable, (3) for sound (inexpensive sound bar and subwoofer always a good alternative), (4) for value ($3800 still a lot for a "t.v.", but half the cost of a comparable Samsung). I would whole-heartedly recommend this model. It'll be even better after HDR10 is downloaded this summer.

Only buy for the picture!
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This TV is fantastic! Like everyone else says, the blacks are black and 4K and HDR look perfect on this set. It's near OLED quality.....but not quite. Just don't expect much out of the tablet. It feels nice in the hand and has a nice wireless charging dock....but it performs like an an Android tablet from 2012. Works on occasion, but generally just slow. You can still stream from an iPad, iPhone or any other Android tablet/phone. I phone the streaming to be the fastest on an iPhone (tried a GS& as well). I use an Apple TV though for all my streaming.....so I didn't use the casting much. Also, know that this TV is HEAVY.....weighs about 103lbs without the TV stand attached. So make sure you buy the proper mount if you plan on hanging on the wall. One nit picky thing.....I'm not a fan of silver bezels. Wish they would have gone with black metal....or another black plastic like the upcoming M-series. Oh, and know this TV has NO TV TUNER. I knew that going in, as I stream all my media. If your BB rep doesn't explain this to you....then he hasn't done his/her job. More than likely though....if you're shelling out 3-4,000 on a TV.....you probably have cable. Hope this helps!

Very Happy
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This is new technology and you are an early adopter so be patient. The picture is only as good as the signal that you feed it. OTA feed, bluray, Roku 4, PS4 all look amazing. Casting apps all look excellent as well. 4K is breath taking. Best quality hdmi cables are a must. As the firmware matures, this monitor will only get better and better. This is as good as it gets for now. Worth every penny.

Great TV. At its current price it is unbeatable.
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The tv has one of the best pictures currently available. And it does so while costing half as much as tvs that can actually compete with it. It does lack in the built in sound area. And just like any new tv has some minor bugs that they are fixing via firmware. The tv has been great for me so far. And I don't regret my purchase for a second.

Love this TV
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I came from a 7 year old 55" Samsung. This is a huge upgrade. I had saved up for a new Samsung when this display was announced and ordered it two days later. Love the picture from 1080i content, Netflix rocks, casting is the future. I had some minor audio issues until I added the Vizio SB4551 soundbar now I can truly say I'm set for the future with this awesome TV!
