UHD upscaling and Aspect ratio bugged
||Posted . Owned for less than 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I got this TV to replace my broken Vizio M70-C that i used for 5 yrs, loved that TV, picture was crisp and it upscaled all content to look almost 4K-like even at 720p. so i got the p75, it's a newer better Vizio right? The P75Q9-H1 out of the box after software update, there was problem with aspect ratio being stuck to "full (vertical stretch) mode" while playing movies with USB port, which isn't even on the 4 modes listed. changing to the modes normal, wide, full, zoom doesn't do anything, still stuck on vertical stretch. while in other apps, you don't even have the option to change modes. The only way to bypass the aspect ratio error is to smartcast it from another device using your device's video player instead of the tv's. (a $1600 tv can't even play a MP4 file correctly? ) as for picture quality, the blacks are impressive, colors are ok, backlight is nice and very bright, the clarity is below average, but the UHD upscaling is nonexistent. it doesn't upscale at any resolution. made everything look like a 1080p-1440p panel, even while i was playing 4k content it only looked 2k. For the price it isn't a terrible 4k tv, but it isn't the value DEAL Vizio tv's once was. If you want to watch your digital movie library from USB flash drive or extrenal HD, than forget it this tv will NOT be able to and it's a software update aspect ratio lock problem since 2 years ago,...unless you enjoy watching everyone transform into coneheads.

Posted .Hi ITguru, thank you for your feedback. Since it's only affecting the video you're watching from your USB, we're wondering if there's an issue with that file. Typically when you play content from an app, a blue ray disc, or from devices like a cable or satellite box, that content has been formatted to ensure it meets industry broadcast standards that ensure it can be viewed correctly. When we see issues from content downloaded from a computer to a USB drive, typically the issue is either with the way the content was saved (file type and container) or is a result of the content being downloaded through unofficial unsupported services that may not meet industry copyright protection standards. If you'd like to reach out to our support by visiting support.VIZIO.com, they'd be happy to help troubleshoot the way your saving this file.

Great TV for price.
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The box containing the TV was in perfect condition upon delivery. We installed the TV ourselves. It can get very bright if that’s what you need. Since we use it in a dark room, we display non-HDR content on 25% brightness. With HDR, we leave it on default brightness. The TV updated as soon as we connected it to internet, and its default color settings (color temperature, brightness, etc) are the best of any display I’ve had. The only knock on this TV that I have is with the variable refresh rate (VRR) enabled, the screen flickers when there is little-to-no movement on the screen (such as menu screens). Therefore I typically have VRR disabled since there haven’t been any screen-tearing issues (even on 4K) with VRR disabled. The screen does not flicker whatsoever with VRR disabled. Besides this minor issue, I have not encountered any issues with this TV. The picture is bright with high contrast, the bezel is extremely small, and the shows and movies on 4K HDR are beautiful. The delivery went without a hitch, and the delivery people were nice as well. Based on my experience, I recommend Best Buy to my friends and family if they are looking for a new TV.

Great TV, Future Firmware will Fix Small Issues
||Posted . Owned for 2 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Great picture quality especially when taking into account the price. Some issues existed at launch of these TVs, but most have been fixed. Vizio still needs to fix certain HDMI 2.1 tech with next gen consoles and GPUs, but they have fixed the sound issues with HDMI and blooming. TV gets very bright when comparing to anything older than 2 years. If you own something from last year, maybe go for the PQX series for even brighter HDR.

fantastic tv
||Posted . Owned for 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The colors are bright and vibrant. The blacks are black. Super smooth picture. Overall a beautiful picture. Don't believe all the negative reviews/YouTube videos. This tv is well worth the money. Hdmi 2.1, 4k 120hz, vrr, low latency, dolby vision, fast smart tv features, 240 dimming zones. What more could you ask for, this tv is a touchdown.

Too much good stuff!
||Posted . Owned for 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Too big. Too crisp. Too colorful. Too easy to set up. Too many features. Too much value for the money. Just the way I like it. Brought back the 65" x900h and shelled out the extra 300$ bones for this bad boy and I DO NOT regret it. Im telling you guys, there's darn near no blooming, I can't speak for the 65" as it has fewer local dimming zones, but the local dimming in tandem with 1200 nit peak hdr brightness on this one really makes colors pop hard, harder than the Sony most definitely. The only leg up the Sony has on this tv is the darn picture processor!! It truly is glorious. while the vizio iq ultra processor upscaled from 1080-4k really well with good image quality but on the Sony the x reality processor made it indistinguishable from native 4k with my naked eye, very sharp warm images. If you plan to do regular gaming but mostly tv and movie consumption maybe get the Sony, your only missing out on HDR w 4k120. If you really want 4k 120 and hdr10/dolby vision simultaneously I'd get the vizio. Definitely has a more advanced suite of gaming features. Overall for me the vizio is the obvious winner on the spec sheet and real life use.

Good for Day to Day use.
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Good value for the money. Faster than last year's model and easy to set up. It has a good picture and is brighter than it has to be to operate in my rec room. If you do not have direct sunlight to worry about this P-Series Quantum is perfect for rec/family room use.

beautiful screen
||Posted . Owned for less than 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I have been using a Vizio tv and soundbar for about 3 years now, so I do have some brand loyalty. I love this TV.. the colors and the contrast are absolutely stunning! There are some blooming issues in certain scenarios, which is expected on full-array local dimming technology. It isn't terrible though, and most of the time it is simply not obvious. The blacks on this tv are so deep.. if there is a completely black scene, I can't even tell if the tv is off or on. That's about as good as OLED! The SmartCast software is incredibly snappy and responsive compared to my older 2017 65 inch vizio tv. I have had zero issues with my set so far, been using it hours daily for over a week at this point. If I have any issues moving forward I "will" update this review.

First Time Vizio Owner and it is a Great TV.
||Posted . Owned for 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I have been very happy with my new 75in Vizio P-Quantum. Screen has been great. I upgraded from a 2012 55in LG TV this is my first 4k TV and it looks awesome. I have an Xbox Series X and it works great with that since the new update to the 2.1 HDMi ports. Trying to stream everything through my Xbox to get 4k shows since cable doesn't really offer much. It was an easy setup out of the box. Definitely need 2 people to set up this big of a screen. After getting it on the table it was just plug and play. No issues with putting my cable and Xbox to it. It did have a lot of updates to run when first turning on. One thing I have noticed is that after being on my Xbox and I switch back to my cable on a different HDMi the sound doesn't work anymore, but I go back to the Xbox port and everything is fine. The solution I found was to just turn the tv off and on and its fine again. I am using an older Sony surround sound system connected with a digital optic cable. But that is really my only issue which I can deal with easily.

Best Bang for the Buck
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Upgraded from another vizio 55" TV. This tv is incredible and has exceeded my expectations. Blacks are deep and almost OLED like. Colors pop and the 4k at 120hz works flawlessly. Best purchase I've made and sticking to vizio for my TV choices.

Great TV for Movies and Gaming
||Posted . Owned for 2 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Bought this TV to enjoy gaming and movies, and wanted something that would give me some of the features I wanted for the Xbox Series X, without spending a fortune on an OLED at this size (75"). First, the gaming input lag has really been great, and definitely improved over my old Sony 930D. Second, the contrast and black levels on this display are pretty impressive, and far exceed what I realistically expected. I never have issues with any backlight bleeding, and very minor blooming only on solid black backgrounds with solid white text. Even then, it's never noticeable on content. I think for the price, this has been a really excellent TV, it gets bright, has great blacks, and good gaming features. My only downside is I would say colors aren't quite as accurate as my old Sony, but not sure if it'd be worth getting calibrated.

Great Picture - Lousy Streaming
||Posted . Owned for less than 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Great brightness and colors. The picture is awesome. I would definitely give the TV 5 Stars based only on the picture. But, I would really like to be able to use the built in streaming. Unfortunately, when using it directly with my network connection, it is 720K. It looks awful. The streaming services are pushing 4K (Disney+, Netflix, etc) but the TV only shows 720. I am using a Roku and it works good so far, but it has some issues apparently with Vizio. So, it is a little tricky. I might have to spend another 150-200 to get the Nvidia Shield.

Great tv
||Posted . Owned for less than 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This is a great tv. Well made and asa great picture. The blacks are very impressive. I was walking a 4K Dolby vision movie and I could read the brand and model of he tire on a car. It was just like it was on the screen and it was not the focal point of the scene. I have had it almost a week. I really wanted the x version. It is not available at all from vizio. I called them to see why. They said due o the China virus they are not making them. I am happy with this tv. Definitely better than any Samsung tv.. I have had one and never buy another one again. This tv will do anything you want it to do. I have seen the videos on you tube about the x version and can say I have not seen one of the negative this they talk about. They were upfront about it was a pre production model. So if you are in the market for a 75 inch tv you can not go wrong with this tv.

Solid TV for the Price-Vizio "P" 75"
||Posted . Owned for 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This television offers a good balance of price and performance. It's not the high-end Sony or Samsung QLED but is less than half the price. The picture was very good right out of the box but it is easy to modify. Installed app options are easy to use. Like the 120 Native Refresh Rate for football/hockey and other fast-moving sports. No regrets on this purchase. Of note: the legs are closer to 56" apart with the spread. It listed a lower number (54") and the two inches made my 56.5" stand too short for comfort.

It has it's issues.
||Posted . Owned for 3 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I thought there would be more firmware updates to alleviate some issues that I have, but there seems to be issues that will not stop. 1. Sometimes it does not recognize what is connected to the HDMI port. The screen stays black until you either switch inputs or restart the TV. 2. Has issues switching to HDR10 while playing XBOX Series X. Happens almost every day. When the game loads that is HDR10, screen does not display correctly. To fix this issue, you have to go back to the home screen on the XBOX and restart the game. 3. The Roku would not have any sound or will not display correctly. The fix was to change the power option for the USB to power off when TV turns off. Now if the sound does not work, you have to Restart the TV. 4. Smartcast/software locks up if you push the remote buttons to quickly. To fix, Reset TV, 5. No HBOMAX. Since I am only using the 2 - 2.1 HDMI ports, that seems to be where all the issues are. I have the TV wall mounted and getting to the ports were easier because those were on the side, I did a lot of research for something for my XBOX Series X and could not afford the QLED. I would have preferred another brand but Best Buy would never put it on sale. I should have waited for another alternative but my other Vizio panel had backlight issues. Disappointed.

PERFECT picture-this P series Quantum is the ONE!
||Posted . Owned for 3 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I am a bit late in writing this review, but it deserves to be said; The picture on this TV is AMAZING. I originally bought the Hisense 75”, U6G due to its great price for an upgrade to my 4-year old standard 4K LED, and moving to a Quantum dot TV. The Hisense Quantum (ULED) picture was great-noticeably better than standard LED in colors and blacks-however, the designed screen is just placed on the frame, and is not covered with a standard border/bezel. You can’t tell by photos; need to see it in-store, or in my case-after delivery. It just does not look right, and once you see it, it’s all you see. Makes me think the screen will eventually bow up, or start to come off. Anyway-if it doesn’t bother YOU, then the Hisense is great for it’s price. Luckily, the more expensive P-Series Quantum here went on sale, so I paid the extra $300 to exchange. The picture is perfect (IMO). In store, I was able to see LED, QLED, and OLED side by side (by side), and the difference between LED and QLED is VERY noticeable, so to me, well worth the upgrade. Personally, I couldn’t see any difference between the QLED and much more expensive OLED, but maybe that’s just me, so ruled out paying much more for OLED quickly. Two things I wanted, which this TV has, were (1) Great picture [great/crisp/clear/bright with ability to adjust brightness] and (2) thin Bezel, .35” [huge to me, as thinner is smooth, sleek and modern looking]. All the other features are fairly similar on all the newer TVs in this price range, just different Smart TV design, remote, etc…minor to me-those things won’t factor in me making a decision. I really like Rtings reviews-they do great work, but don’t agree with their overall 8.2, and their horrible 7.6 on Sports. I don’t game, but watch lots of sports-and no lag, and even without my contacts, I can see every sweat drop, facial pores, and I now watch a bit of women’s volleyball all of a sudden…some smoking hot beauties practically in my living room ;). JK-they definitely are talented. Ok, I’ve blabbed enough, but did want to comment to say that if you are wondering about the picture quality-IMO, you will NOT regret this TV. Thanks folks. (also, shouldn’t need to say as I’m assuming it’s implied-but as expected, Best Buy was great in every part of my transaction/delivery-so, please don’t buy your TVs anywhere else-always Best Buy.

Absolutely Beautiful!!
||Posted . Owned for 2 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I love this TV! This has an amazing picture, so beautiful, so sharp and realistic! This is such a great TV for the price, several hundred cheaper than competitors TV is equal or less quality. I highly recommend this TV, you will not regret it For anyone doubting Vizio. I own three, I have a 55" E-series in my grandsons playroom, a 65" M-series in my bedroom and a 75" PQ9 in my Living Room. I have NEVER had a problem with a Vizio. Again, HIGHLY recommend.

Great TV so far.
||Posted . Owned for 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. So far I’ve thoroughly enjoyed this television. I’m still trying to figure out the best picture adjustments for what I’m doing, but it’s not something that annoys me. The only thing is that Vizio hasn’t updated its firmware to allow my PS5 to utilize the 4K 120HZ HMDI port. But that’s not a huge deal seeing as basically zero games are in 4K 120 yet. So I hope that’s fixed soon.

Amazing
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This tv is amazing. Great colors. Deep blacks. The main reason I got this was because it is in an extremely bright sun lit room. I looked at this and the Samsung. Samsung’s was $1k more. This works perfect and the menu is quick. I went with the extended warranty because the last vizio I had an led strip that burned out only a year into owning it and vizio refused to replace. I was extremely upset that a $2k tv broke after one year of use. I hope this doesn’t happen with this newer model. But went with geek squad protection in case.
