I moved from a 5.1 Surround Sound HTIB unit to the Vizio 38" 5.1 surround bar. An excellent upgrade. Setup was very easy. Wireless subwoofer with connector for rear speakers is fantastic. I have an older home with plaster walls and had no ability to run cabling for rear speakers without a lot of messy work. This solved that problem. Sound is excellent and with the setup of all HDMI connectins using HDMI ARC, I have gone from 3 remotes down to one. Excellent product.

I am really happy with this set of speakers. They sound much clearer then my previous 41in. Vizio smart cast which surprised and delighted me. The bass was nearly 2 inches smaller then my previous set up, but the sound is much clearer and not muddy at higher volumes. The Bluetooth works great and the speakers themselves are super easy to set up. You really notice the satellite speakers even during regular television, and it helps you feel even more immersed in the movie or show.

I purchased a Vizio 58 inch high definition TV, but the sound quality was somewhat lacking. I tried a cheap Insignia sound bar and while the sound was much improved, there was no rear channel. I decided to pass that sound bar along to my daughter and purchased the Vizio sound bar with rear speakers. I am very please with the sound that comes from the bar, but there are times when the bass is somewhat muddled. That's the only reason that I gave this 4 stars instead of 5. This is a huge improvement over the stock sound of the TV.

I bought this during the cyber Monday week for $179 and for that money the sound quality, rather the sound experience is amazing. The 2 satellite speakers give it the edge over other sound bars in this range. The only problem I have been facing is the connectivity. I am using this with my LG 7650 TV, and I connected it with THE HDMI ARC. But every time I turn of the TV and turn it back on, it doesn't automatically connect. I have to disconnect and connect the HDMI cable again. Turning the sound bar off and on also doesn't help.

Pros - 1. Great sound, loud and clear. I am enjoying it so much, that I am replaying all the old favourite movies to feel them. The LOTR soundtrack is blisss. 2. Google cast works like a charm, and you can cast music from your android phone. 3. You can turn off the subwoofer level completely if needed, which helps me since I am on the 2nd floor in an apartment complex and the subwoofer is strong enough to shake the floor. 4. HDMI ARC works too so I only need my TV remote to turn it on/off and change volume. 5. Night mode works well too if I don't want to completely turn off the subwoofer, but don't want it shaking my house either Cons - 1. TruSound works most of the time, i.e. it increases the dialog clarity and makes sure the music does not overpower, which is great for movie watching. But sometimes it decides that the volume is going to be too high and reduces it a bit too much for a few seconds, but never bothered me much. 2. I found that if I play around too much with the center channel, to boost the dialog, sometimes the soundbar looses sense of the sound level and the volume fades in and out. This mainly happens for music, so I have just decided to let the center channel setting be as is, and its worked out well.

Bought this for my family as they liked my 7.2 surround I put together hoping that it would produce half decent sound. I was blown away by the cost and sound quality. If you manage to snag this at 200 or even the normal cost it's amazing. My only complaint would be setting up the wifi as it kept giving me errors. Luckily I figured it out and it works like a charm.

Soundbar has great sound. Love the bass...easy to setup. Wife loves the bluetooth to play music from her phone. Excellent value.

The VIZIO SB4451-C0 SmartCast 44-Inch 5.1 Channel Sound Bar System (2016 Model) is truly a great buy. The price may seem high, but for what you get, it is well worth every penny. The system came packaged in one single box containing all the five components. Included was a 44” sound bar speaker, 2 satellite speakers, and a large subwoofer. Included in the package were all cables, connectors, and diagram of easy set up and instillation. The wall mount template truly made the mounting of the sound bar a breeze. What I did need to buy was dry wall mounting screws to attach the sound bar mounting brackets to the wall. That was an inexpensive purchase. Set up and instillation was super easy because of the clear forward instructions. Setting up the sound bar with the tv was also simple. The supplied manual gave all the details and also gave three different cable connection suggestions for the best sound quality. In my home I have the disadvantage of a large open floor plan. There is no acoustical material or enclosed space for sound to bounce around. As a result the sound I would originally hear from my TV usually diffuses quickly. So until this VIZIO Sound Bar System was installed, TV was very difficult to hear especially when someone was in the kitchen, which was open to the TV/ living room area. Now after installing the new SOUND BAR, I can not only hear the great quality of the stereo system of the bar, but also can hear the clear defined speech which was almost impossible before. The speaker system really creates a feeling of a home movie theater. Because the subwoofer and the rear satellite speakers are wireless, it enables me to place the components throughout the room until the ideal spot was found for perfect surround sound quality. Another great feature is having the sound bar as a regular blue tooth wireless speaker. This allows me to play any Bluetooth such as Pandora over the speakers. The sound bar produces a much better quality sound than any other wireless speakers that I currently have. All in all I would recommend this VIZIO 5.1 Channel Sound Bar System for anyone looking to enhance the sound quality of your TV.

Great system for the mid range $299 price. Got it on sell for $200. Great features including the vizio cast/Google cast. Work great with my Vizio TV. Like that you can customize the bass, treble, center channel and even control the volume of the sound speaker & the power level of the sub woofers. Great for watching normal every movies and music. Not great if you're looking for powerful bass boom because its driver on the sub is only 6". I truly recommend the #SB4551-D0 with the 8" drivers.

I have been looking for quite some time for a sound bar for my living room TV. I have been to stores, online retailers, and speciality stores. I recently purchased a Vizio 4K UHD TV, and I absolutely love it. The quality and picture are unmatched at almost any price level, but the speakers on the TV are sub par at best. After reading many reviews, both professional, and personal, I figured I would give this sound bar a chance, and I am so glad that I did. Unboxlng the Sound Bar was a treat, as it is packaged very well, and was very easy to remove all of the components. Set up was pretty much well as snap, and Vizio includes ANY and ALL cables you would ever want to use. I chose to use the HDMI port setup, as that often provides the best sound quality. It also allow my sound bar to be easily turn off an on with my television. The hookup to the Wifi is kind of pain because it goes take a smartphone or tablet to accomplish this, but it was the same process with my Vizio TV, and went without a hitch. Software updated right out to the box and I was good to go. The wireless subwoofer and rear speakers had me concerned as people I know that have this setup have constant problems loosing the link. I can proudly say that in two months of using mine, I have never lost the link! The sounds is pretty amazing for the money. I have friends that paid three to four times what I did for another brand, and they are far more impressed with mine than theirs. Deep crisp base with very clear mid and high range. The surround aspect works very well. I am a huge gamer and my Xbox One S and PS4 sound amazing on this sound bar setup. My roommate loves the Google Cast to the speaker. Comes in the door, opens pandora on his phone, and Casts it directly to the speaker. Google Cast isn't the greatest when it comes to just Audio apps that support it, but there are some good ones available. It will get better over time, just like google cast on my TV has become invaluable to me. If your on the fence go ahead and give this sound bar a try. I am certainly glad that I did.

Great, Great sound. Thundering bass and amazing directional surround sound. Easy setup out of the box. The only complaint, and it's not with the product, but rather the phone app for controlling all my Vizio smart cast products. The app barely works and doesn't want to connect to more than one product at a time despite advertising being able to cast to multiple devices.

Cant go wrong with the price on this one. the lil sub packs a punch when im watching any action movie you can feel the bass hit from outside. great product for movie lovers you will hear the sound so clear

Good system for the money. Has great sound and really good bass. I have not used the rear speakers as of yet. Don't think I need them as the bar sends sound out nicely. Not a Bose, but did not cost like it either. I would recommend this system for the movie watcher who does not want a big system or to spend lots of money.

For the money, this is a great sound system! Easy to setup! Fantastic sound! Sub a little over powering but adjustable!

I had this sound bar out of the box and set up in about 30 minutes. The surround sound sounds great! Watching football I realized FOX has the best has the best sound of all networks showing NFL games. You can hear the crowd in the rear speakers! For playing music such as Pandora, I turn off the sub woofer and rear speakers , to me the music sounds better. I bought this unit on sale and I am very satisfied with the price and how it performs.

This soundbar gives a great overall sound! The look is flawless and easy to setup. There is really no need to purchase one of those 500 + $$ soundbars because this one will put out more then enough sound for yhe wjole house, i promise. I cant turn it up past 10 without it being too loud! Ha i love this thing and im super happy with it. Vizio products have never let me down and i will continue being a loyal customer to them. 5 stars all the way around.

I bought this on sale to replace an older surround sound receiver unit. The sound is good quality. The clarity is good at higher volume. The sub while pretty good could pump out more bass. Overall, good product for the price. I checked out over 20 sound bars and surround sound systems. It won't compete with a Bose or other higher end product, but for under $250, you won't be sorry.

The vizio smart cast 38 is a great sounding system for a low price. It was easy to set up only requiring dealing with six wires and and worked right out of the box. The bass can be a little overpowering but it can easily be turned down in the settings allowing you to equalize the sound for your specific room. Overall I would recommend this item for anyone looking for a great 5.1 system at a low price.

I got this as an open box... therefore the price was AMAZING. The setup was a bit rough but the end result is fantastic. Great sound for both music and TV.
