I received the bar as gift from my wife and i have to say i was amazed at how good it was out of the box. it was easy to set up and transformed my entertainment room i would recommend this to anyone without and hesitation. I would say if you have a large room i would probably go this something more substantial but then again i have no idea on how to prove that i keep the volume at 15 and that is more than enough.

The Good: The sound quality on this unit is decent for a soundbar in this price range. I also purchased a samsung k550 (a 3.1 design) which I use in the bedroom. The bass on this unit is much more noticeable than the samsung which is why I have this unit in my living room and the samsung in my bedroom where I don't really need thumping bass. The built in chromecast feature is a nice touch (samsung does not have this capability) which I have used on occasion. The not so good: The soundbar has a built in wifi network which is used to allow for pairing between your phone/tablet and the soundbar (SSID is VIZIOCAST..) That's fine, except that there is no way to shut that wifi network down or set a password on it to prevent the unwanteds from connecting to the soundbar wifi. While the wifi network does not allow them to access the home network or devices, it DOES allow them to access the built in chromecast if they have the free google chromecast app (aka Google Home). Long story short... anyone with the google home app on their phone (whether they are in your house or not) can connect to the soundbar and cast whatever they want, whenever they want, at whatever volume they want. I contacted VIZIO about this and unfortunately that is the current design as the wifi network is enabled for pairing with their vizio app. Other than this oversight in security, the soundbar itself is a good buy.

Ive had these for a month hooked up to my optima gt1080 projector and the sound quality is just like that of a movie theatre. The bass from the subwoofer is not yhatvpowerful, but when you have them turned up and the satellite speakers on, its a very satisfying experience. I highly recommend these for the arc feature that turns on your sound system when hooked to your tvs arc HDMI. 2 thumbs up for quality

Bought this on Black Friday and it has been awesome using. The sound quality is great and the sub really pumps out that bass. Having the two rear speakers is great for music or movies. Really gives you a surround sound experience. The fact that it can connect through Bluetooth is great because I use it to play music from my phone and crank the volume up. It's easy to set up and comes with wall mounts.

Its not bad. Bass is actually better than I had expected for something of that size and power. But the overall sound is good. I wish there was actual controls instead of just volume up and down. The controls it comes with don't increase or decrease the bass/treble at all. Also, the delay in sound causes an echo, so you will need to mute the TV's speakers, or just deal with it.

Didn't even have to adjust any settings at install. I've had different systems for my TVs over the last 10 years including Onkyo and Sony and this has been the best by far. It probably isn't fair to compare since the other 2 were much older systems. It would have had 5 stars especially at the price but every once in a while during talking audio it has high pitch background.

Does a fabulous job in a 22x18 room. Its an amazing piece of 5.1 system with deep enough bass, surround sound and clarity that allows enjoying any movie or play songs through bluetooth a breeze. I couldn't get it to work through the Vizio app but it doesn't matter. The remote is intuitive, simple, stylish and very easy to use without any complications. Its pretty cool system for the price.

This product has been a great addition to our home theater system. the overall sound is fantastic and it was a breeze to setup. The sub woofer and rear speakers run independent from the soundbar at the front of the room.

I purchased this May 29, 2017. It worked great for a while - sound was good quality. Then November 8, 2017, it just stopped working. Tried unplugging it and plugging it back, using different outlets, etc. nothing. I contacted Vizio and they're sending me a replacement. Hopefully the next one doesn't do the same thing. It really is a nice unit. :-/

The sound quality is very good. The remote is pretty good to be small. It has a digital readout on it. The only issue I have is the Bluetooth sub and surround speakers sometimes do not connect so I have to turn off the sub to get it to reconnect. Overall it is an ok system for an average sized room.

I have a 4k TV, but the sound didn't reach that well in my living room, as it is an open floor plan so I wanted better sound without breaking the bank. This has got the full 5.1 sound with the subwoofer and speakers for some background surround. The only complaint I would have is not being wireless but beggars can't be choosers!

The bar fits nicely right in front of my TV. The bass sound is very nice. Very nice speaker system. Easy to set up.

My wife and I did a lot of research on Sound bars. We continued to come back to this Vizio Smartcast. It was extremely easy to set up and when we watched our first show we were absolutely blown away with the sound quality! I highly recommend this to anyone who is looking for a system and at this price, you can't go wrong!

Wanted a reasonably priced set up for movies to better hear dialogue as the stock stereo speakers sounded anemic. After looking at options from an AV receiver, decoding HDMI audio separately, and other work-arounds; a sound bar seemed the best bang for the buck option. The Vizo fulfills that task and more, having Dolby and DTS decoding built in, all cabling included (which makes it one of the lowest priced options available when total cost is tallied up), and relative ease of set-up (I did not use the Smartcast app and relied on the "sounds good" approach to adjusting individual speaker levels). Sound is surprisingly full given the small size, and very little clutter of cables going to and fro. This was intelligently designed. Half-star deduction for not having direct multi-channel inputs from a computer and another for not having better options to calibrate audio levels without an app, but these are niggling and will not matter to some. Best Buy ended up having the best options of relative price and speed of delivery.

Bought for my daughter to go with her Vizio 55" 3D TV. Didn't know how she'd like it because she's not a loud TV person. She loves it! The volume doesn't have to be up to get the benefits of the surround sound. I would highly recommend this product to someone who wants surround sound and doesn't want to break the bank.

I have had several full on systems and set up several sound bars. I bought this for my living room and didn't want to loose much floor space. This thing was super easy to set up and for the price... the sound is remarkable! Do yourself a favor and if you're in the market for get sound on a budget... BUY THIS!

i bought this soundBar on thanksgiving day and its the best treat i ever got among all my speakers. The sound quality is simply superb and i could connect with multiple devices through bluetooth and other connectivity options provided. Its best for the money i spent on this thanksgiving.. i love it.

Very happy with this system. Sound quality is very good, sub has plenty of power, and satellite speakers are convenient to plug into the sub. Very easy to setup and use. Highly recommend as a "more than just a sounder" and in place of a full surround system. Great for the price.

I wasn't looking for anything top of the line but something to enhance the sound of my TV. I'm very happy with the system and it was very easy to setup (took about 45 mins). It provides the sound I need especially since my room is not that big. I'm very happy with the purchase.
