Sound system is good. Having a little trouble connecting to an lg oled

I purchased this soundbar for my new Sony tv. I have read many great reviews on Vizio soundbars, so I was very excited to get this hooked up. Setup was very easy and the smartcast app is a great way to control and adjust the settings on the soundbar. The sound is great ( for a soundbar) but every once and awhile, I get dropouts on the audio. I have noticed it in all the devices and apps I used regularly, but It occurs the worst in Netflix. I get dropouts of up to 2 or 3 seconds sometimes. I also noticed when I try to stream music directly from the soundbar via google cast, I get static and jittering in the audio. My router is in the same room as the soundbar also. I have tried a factory reset but didn't fix the problem. I hope this can be fixed in a firmware update. Other than that, I am very pleased with my soundbar. Movies sound great and the sub really adds depth to the sound. I will say music doesn't sound as good, and the music mode in the eq makes everything flat... I just keep it in movie eq. I will wait for the next firmware update and hopefully it will get fixed!

I had bad luck with the instructions and waited 2 more weeks to try to connect the system. The instructions are not great. That being said; I love this system. I have all Sony products and had older Sony home theater systems that I also loved but after moving into a new home; they did not work with a fireplace, etc. so I changed the living room system to this one. The sound is so much better than the 10 yr old sony system. I may change my bedroom system next year for but for now, this system with the wireless subwofer and satellite speakers is fantastic.

Went from a 7.1 wired system (sold due to bulky speakers every where). I wanted something that would produce as close to the 7.1 experience without all the speakers. So far I've been very impressed with the sound bar. Seems like a much more powerful system then the size of speakers. Provides good home theater experience, just like wired systems

The Vizio SmartCast sounder is awesome. it was easy to set up and pair the subwoofer. the sub is great as it can stand anywhere or be placed underneath your couch. The rear channel speakers also connect to the sub which makes for an incredibly easy overall install. The set up process is a little confusing. There are no "on screen" menus to use. However if you download the Vizio app the setup gets a lot easier. You can also adjust settings inside the app as well. Overall my family loves the soundbar! It is fantastic. 5 stars!

So, like their other soundbars, this one sounds good. Price is good. The flat subwoofer is very nice, will fit under a bed (maybe), and sounds great. The big issue I have with this soundbar is that it will not pass-through a 4k signal. So, if you have a 4k TV with ARC (audio return channel), and you want to hook a Roku Ultra or Amazon Fire TV by going HDMI into the soundbar, then have the soundbar connected to the TV for ARC, you can only pass 1080P. Disappointing, since this soundbar seems made for the new Vizio TVs (which I also have). Otherwise, solid purchase.

So I love to have the best audio experience I can afford to have. I had a Bose SR1 Soundbar Sub Combo for years and it served me well. It was great sound no matter where I was due to the calibration headset it came with. I think I got a bit spoiled. I bought a Sony soundbar, sub, and satellite speakers for cost efficiency and was SADLY disappointed and returned it. Worst sound I have heard in a long time. I thought man my ears are ruined due to Bose sounding so great. Well after some extensive research, I decided to buy this Vizio 4551 Soundbar satellite combo and FINALLY!!! After hooking it up and calibrating some of the sounds which can be done once pairing your Soundbar to you phone, I have to say that this Soundbar in my opinion is way better than the Bose Soundbar I had prior. And maybe that’s due to it being years older and out of date but instead of paying $1700+ for the new Bose Soundbar, sub, and satellite speakers I paid $399(it was on sale for holidays) and not a dime wasted for this purchase. Not only is it easy to set up and calibrate, the sound is AMAZING!! Clear as day voice, wonderful bass and with the rear satellites, full 5.1 surround!! Movies and tv shows sound absolutely amazing and I have to turn it down sometimes because it’s too loud. The bass shakes the whole living room when turned up and that’s on setting 7 and it goes to 12. You can turn the center speaker up for even clearer and louder voices and as a huge plus, you can cast your music right to the Soundbar via compatible cell phone for great music playability. If you decide to get more than one, I’m pretty sure they connect to be able to provide sound throughout the home. And with today’s smart home features, it makes it ten times as easy to make that happen. Also I’m a huge gamer and I have a Sony 930E 65” 4K HDR tv and not only do I have the best in graphical power, now I have the best in sound to go with it. Call of duty gamers rejoice as you no longer need that headset to hear enemies sneaking up from the rear. Playing VR, no problem, the Soundbar provides full surround sound for total immersion. Best purchase I have made in a long time as far as sound goes. I’m by no means rich, and if you have a champagne appetite on a beer income, this is the last review you need to look up before deciding your purchase. Bottom line, GREAT QUALITY SOUND ON A BUDGET THAY RIVALS MOST OTHERS THAY COST TRIPLE OR EVEN QUADRUPLE. Thanks for reading my huge rant but this product deserves a great review for the quality you get for the price you pay.

Set up was easy. Soundbar is light weight so it's easy to move to other rooms when needed. Subwoofer has slim profile which is easier to hide than other larger ones. Sound quality meets our need for basic surround system in our family room for everyday tv/movie watching.

For the price this is probably one of the best investments I've made. This sound system replaces the need for my Sonos, and is super high quality sound compared to the last 900$ surround system I got. The granular control for the settings and Visio cast make this flexible and youll never find yourself scrambling for one of 10 remotes... i love using just my phone for everything. The only negative, and the reason it didn't get 5 stars is that the HDMI ARC can sometimes flake out after a power-cycle and can be a pain to get it to function again..

Purchased this soundbar because of limited space in our apartment. It fits perfectly under our 55" Samsung UN55KS8000 TV, between the feet. Decent sound considering the price and small size of the speakers. HDMI-ARC connection on the soundbar works perfectly with the Samsung TV, so we can use just the TV remote to control the TV, DVR and soundbar. The subwoofer is compact and can be placed out of sight. I highly recommend updating the firmware to the latest version by setting up the Vizio Smartcast app on your phone and pairing it with the soundbar. This provided me with a newer firmware version than what is available for download on Vizio's support website. Bluetooth streaming to the soundbar from phones and PC's has worked great as well.

Really nice sound quality and for the price really hard to beat. Base is solid. It's going to play clear up to level 31 and will do the job. If u want it to rattle the house and sound like a rock concert, this is not gonna do that for you. But for movies and Pandora with friends over and not trying to blow the walls off the house, this is perfect.

This sound bar system replaced a true 4-Speaker sound system, and after 3 weeks, I can say that I’m very pleased (given the big shoes that it had to fill). It was a little tricky to get the Bluetooth synced up (for whatever reason that still puzzles me), but after about the fourth try it finally kicked in. I used a pair of Atlantic SPSCUR47 speaker stands for the rear channel speakers. It was a little tricky to get the wires through the stand tubes, and the speakers secured to the holders up top, but got it done. The sound is very spacious and deep for such a small unit. Take 15 minutes to adjust ALL the settings to suit your tastes best. It’s worth the time, and the number of different settings are endless. Very Satisfied!

Set this up with a 65" Vizio TV in a roughly 20'x22' living room. I am satisfied with the sound related to the price. Gave it 4 stars because it seems the remote could be a little better quality.

I got this after getting a Sonos playbase for a different TV. The playbase sounded so good that I wanted something for a different TV. So far I like the Vizio Soundbar quite a lot. It doesn't sound as good as the playbase, but it is a lot cheaper. It also was a better fit for the room. I could not get the HDMI in to work so I am running this using the optical in. I haven't tried any of the streaming functions-- I'm just using this as a TV speaker.

This surround sounds system is amazing at the value. i switched out my older bose speakers for these surround sound system. the ability to have audio connected from my phone with bluetooth, to having my computer vga input hmdi output and optical for my tv is perfect all around solution. also, these come with mounts.

The sound on that this generates along with the vibration from the subwoofer is absolutely jaw dropping! I was blown away with how intense movies can feel now with this system. It's small and sleek and looks really good mounted under my vizio 70" TV. The 1 major problem I have with it is that the subwoofer does not come on when the sound bar turns on. I have to manually flip the power switch on the bottom of the sub off and then back on to get it to reconnect.
