Marginal Performer

I will update this sound bar to another brand soon. The bar works well but will not stay paired to the sub or rear speakers; I have to pair up each time it is turned on. Remote control is useless. Cannot read the display due to a poorly lit screen. Like looking at a black screen. Got to give this one a marginal rating.

Sub and surround will not stay paired

The sub and rear speakers lose their pairing every time I shut the system down, so I have to go through the re-pairing process every time I want to use it. I've been putting up with it for a while, but now it will not re-pair at all. I have wasted a ton of time messing with this thing (and every last bit of my patience!) and I'm about ready to throw it through the window. Save yourself the aggravation and buy something else.

Resetting when loosing sound
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I purchased this sound bar in December and it has not worked correctly since it was purchased. I have two devices connected to my Visio 70 inch display and it is connected thru the hdmi 1 to the sound bar (ARC). When I switch from one device to the other the sound bar does not consistently switch. Therefore no sound. At that point I have to go into the setting of the sound bar and perform a reset. When I addressed this with Bestbuy they directed me to Vizio. Vizio had me change certain setting on the display but the problem still persist. I have several Vizio products in my home but with the lack of service with this problem I will not continue to purchase their products.

Listen to Spotify?

Otherwise, I would have purchased last year's model which is nearly identical but much less expensive. The sound quality and build of the soundbar, woofers, and satellite speakers is good, but know that when you purchase this product you WILL NOT be able to cast music from SPOTIFY directly to the soundbar. Pandora will work. Google Music will work. But Spotify is not supported. I have raised this issue to Vizio customer service, Google customer service, and Spotify customer service. It doesn't matter to me who's issue it is to solve, I want it fixed and do not recommend this product until it is. I will update this review once it is fixed. Great sound but fails to connect

The sound bar puts out clear precise sound & the sub provides strong bass but won't stay connected to Bluetooth. It takes over 20 times of turning off & on to get it to stay connected. Will call Vizio customer support to see if there is a fix otherwise it's getting returned.

Not worth it at full price
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Got lucky and purchased it direct from Vizio with a 150.00 discount. Even with the discount it is underwhelming. Surround sound is bland with the passive rear speakers and doesn't offer a simulated surround sound for audio that does not have 5.1 sound. Less then stellar sound from the main sound bar, not great, but not horrible. What you would expect from a lower quality device. At 500.00 this device does not offer the features you would expect. The cast feature is nice and works well, but not something I will use often. I expected a larger more robust sound, but was left a bit flat. Audio lacks detail. Highs and lows are muddled. It's an improvement over my previous sound bar, but not by much. I would suggest looking at other offerings on the market. If you can get it at the price I paid for it, not bad then.

Do not buy

Unless its directly connected to your device the sound delay is obvious and awful. Can't pass 4k through hdmi. Won't connect to the SmartCast app. Can't update via either method on their website. Sucks because in the very specific instance that it works, it sounds pretty good. Stay away from this thing.
