I have multiple smart watches from various brands, and as a weekly golfer, I was excited to test out the VoiceCaddie - T9 GPS Watch. While I do have some issues with the watch, I'd strongly recommend this for anyone who takes golf seriously. As a golf focused smart watch, functionality is far more important that design...but design still matters. With that said, I do think this watch is a nice look for hitting the course on weekends (or sneaking away from work on weekdays). Once you turn it on, the screen resolution is solid. I've seen better. With that out the way...my gripe. This watch is not as intuitive as I would have liked. I may not be the brightest, but I've set up my fair share of smart watches and I'm decently knowledgeable in terms of golf. It took a couple reviews of the manual to get a decent understanding of the functionality of this watch. With that said, with the understanding of this watch I have, it's great for golf, and I imagine it'll only get better. When you get to your course, put the watch in to Golf mode and it locates your course. Course previews are solid. The green undulation and elevation data are major helpers when scoping out a course. The swing tempo practice mode makes taking off my other smart watch and wearing this one to the golf course worth it in itself. It's almost like having my own swing coach with me for every swing. The Voice Caddie - T9 is a great assistant for those who take golf seriously. Add in the app, which connects to your watch via Bluetooth, this is a must have for any avid golfer. With that said, I feel I'm still fully learning how to take advantage of this watch, and intuitiveness for smart watches is a huge thing for me. Overall, this watch may end up being a 5 out of 5 for me, but for now I'd strongly recommend it with a solid 4 our of 5.

This watch exceeded my expectations. I have had a few of these types of watches and GPS units for golfing and this one is above them all. Very easy to setup out of the box. It comes with a charging dock and cable. There are instructions on how to use it but it is fairly easy to get things started. I really like the ability to change the clock face. There is a setup video that really explains how to use all the fuctions of this watch. I really like that it automatically knows my strokes when golfing. One of the other items I really enjoyed was the tempo app. It helps you have a decent tempo. I thought I had a decent tempo until I used this app. I also enjoyed the steps counter as I usually wear another smart watch that counts my steps so now I don't need to have that on I can just keep this one on. I looked up the golf courses I usually play and they all were listed in the courses online. The watch came with an additional watch strap which is nice. The greens view shows the slope of the green which is nice to see. Alot of great features. I can't see not using this for every round going forward.

I am not a very good golfer, but I spend a lot of time playing and am always looking for *anything* to help out with my game. Setting up the T9 was straightforward. Download the MyVoiceCaddie app, pair your phone, and go. The watch itself is pretty no frills; it only has a power button. The only options available from the touch screen are Bluetooth, touch lock, and smart light toggles. There’s a fitness tracker (steps and whatnot) and a few settings you can pull up. Everything has to be done with your phone until you get on the course or out to practice in Tempo Mode (which felt reliable enough, but not too useful.. maybe for a novice?). Of note, I had trouble changing the watch face. Seems like a poorly designed app in that department. The courses available on the app seem limitless. Every single course remotely close to me is listed. When you download a course, it gives you a per hole bird’s eye overview along with greens undulation. Pretty amazing that they got all of that data. As you play, the watch keeps track of just about all of the data you could think of, including your stroke/distance stats, all sortable. I found the information to be very reliable and matching my actual play. All in all, the price of this watch, in my opinion, is amazing considering the technology. Something like this would have been unthinkably expensive 20 years ago. I wish the watch faces worked properly, but a small problem compared to the overall usefulness of the product.

I really like the VoiceCaddie T9. It has golf features my previous golf watch doesn't have, but it costs about half as much. But, it's not perfect. First, there's a lot to like. When put in golf mode, the watch searches for golf courses and locates the one you are currently on. If you enter your normal driving distance, the watch shows you where your drive would end up, helping you avoid hazards. It also shows the distance to and beyond hazards by just tapping on the hazard. In addition, it tracks your shots, including putts. But where it really shines is the greens. Without the normal subscription fees the other guys charge, it shows slope using a heat map. This is particularly important for approach shots on a course you've never played before. On putts, it will show you distance to the pin and slope numbers. Not necessarily a game changer, but handy. So, what do I not like about it? I haven't yet figured out how to play 9 holes with it. If you quit after 9 holes, it seems to give you pars on all the back nine holes. Also, I'm not sure you can start on a hole other then the first hole. That's a problem for those days when the front nine is backed up and you want to start on the back 9. I'm not saying it's not possible, I just haven't been able to figure it out. Even with the aforementioned quirks, I still think the T9 is a really good watch and a really good bargain. Highly recommended!!

I love this watch. I use it every time I play. It is especially nice when its cart path only because its always with you so you know your distance everywhere you stand. Its extremely accurate as well.

Wow, this is of the coolest golf gadgets I have seen in a long time. In a sport full of gimmicks, it is refreshing to find a tool that is actually helpful. The tempo feature alone makes this watch worth every penny. I have had to take up golf again after years of not playing and have found the benefits of this watch at the driving range alone worth the price. The tempo tool gives both upswing and downswing. This feature alone has really allowed me to work on a smooth, steady swing. For me, that is half the battle right there. Where this watch really shines is on the course. Upload the courses into the watch and it really makes your game a lot more interactive. Full hole views with yardages to bunkers and hazards, putt view, green undulations, etc. It even tracks your shots through the round. As far as the performance of the watch, it takes a little finesse and could be tricky for the less tech-oriented people. Uploading courses is completely free which is a huge bonus for me. The watch is sleek and I wear it as a normal watch. I love this watch and will buy the next version down the road when I wear this one out.

I was excited to try out this new watch since I was in need to replace my smart watch for a while, and the golf features seemed cool too. I was disappointed in the smart watch functions and operation. I'll start with what's included and how to setup and then my review. The watch comes with the watch, two bands (large, small), a charging cable that connects magnetically to the back of the watch (no charging block), and the setup/manual. You'll need to install the MyVoiceCaddy app on your phone and it should work for Apple and Android. You'll need to connect the watch to your phone via Bluetooth. The app has golf courses stored, golf history stats, and additional watch faces. You will connect the watch the first time using the app, and after you can just reconnect by the bluetooth settings on your phone/the watch. Let me start with some of the pros. I like the swing track, and keeping your score as well as providing the distance to hole and other course data. This is all on the watch face. It has a step tracker and calories/distance. There are 5 simple screens (main + one each direction with a swipe) It also has a dim feature that saves battery and does not wake up automatically. Here are the negatives. The main ones are the notifications are limited so I could not use this as my everyday watch. It only sends through texts and phone calls (no emails or other apps). The golf function is not very easy to navigate. I read through the book before playing and still missed a bunch while playing. The watch is bulky and doesn't feel comfortable on my wrist, especially while playing golf. I would not recommend this watch since it's only good for part time golf-only use for me, and it's difficult to navigate through all the functions while playing.
