    This little fan puts out a lot of air and not too noisy. Great for background noise for sleeping. Just don't drop it, as it is mostly plastic.

    Best Fan & Value Period! Quality, speed, sound and design all are perfect! Have 4 of these fans in my gym and they are perfect. Wish small fan also came with speed and on/off button on top like large version...small fan control arm is hard to reach when fan used on the floor. Fan also does require rear access to plenty of air...cannot place in a corner and get full air flow...it becomes restricted.

    even the low setting pushes plenty of air around definitely not quiet the physical knob to change speed feels more robust than buttons

    I was skeptical about how effective the fan will be at cooling a bedroom given its size. However, it works really well. The highest setting is pretty loud though.

    I have two of the older full sized Vornado Model 280B air circulators and both of them are significantly quieter than this smaller newer model. While it does push plenty of air around in my small bedroom on low speed, there is no way I could turn the speed up higher and still sleep because of the noise. I should note, that I am hard-of-hearing, too and it's still too noisy!
