It's small but can really move a lot of air. It's very quite on low but med gives a great "white noise" for sleeping. Exactly what we were looking for!

We bought a competitor last year for same purpose but it wasn't strong enough. Anyway, this fan's strength is good, sound at top speed a bit loud, and its ability to be flexible is limited. With that said the fan is working well for its intended function.

Our prior Vornado fan doesn't have set speeds, it's just a dial. These preset speeds on the new one didn't work for us because we wished there was a speed in between. Unfortunately returned this model and haven't found a good replacement.

Posted .Thank you for your feedback. There wasn't a change to the knob on the 533, however we have many different models and styles of fans at Vornado. They will have different features.
