this thing actually works as advertised. It's fairly quiet and moves the air around the room well.

What an amazing little fan! Since I have had this fan working in my office I keep the air conditioning set at 80°. I am cool and comfortable and the fan makes hardly any noise. I just got my monthly bill and it was reduced by $80. I am sure that having the vornado fan working in my office has made a difference.

Nearly silent on lowest setting. Circulates in room air very well.

Perfect. My only comment:: it doesn’t rotate, just up and down. However the air that it produces was so good. It really cools the room.

This fan is excellent for cooling down the area it is directed at as well as circulating the air in the room. It is a bit loud when on the highest setting but understandable due to the high power.

I literally can't think of anything not great about this fan. A few weeks back my boyfriend and I couldn't handle the heat in our apartment anymore. We have a lame AC unit that is horrible. We turned the AC unit on, set this fan up in front of it, pointed the fan at a corner and it cooled down so quickly.

Yes, it's an expensive fan. Is it worth it? Absolutely! I have a bad habit of leaving the A/C on all night long and waking up with a sore throat. My solution was getting a vornado. It cools the room down to a comfortable enough temperature for my wife and I to sleep. I take this with me to my parents house which doesn't have central A/C and keeps us all cool indoors during those hot summer days. If you can get past the price I would pick one up.

It has a very powerful setting and a very quiet setting. It looks good and makes the whole room feel cooler. You’re not supposed to blow it directly on yourself, but you’ll feel a subtle current throughout the room. You can probably employ this technique with other fans as well. I like the button control—easy to press and works well.

this is by far the best fan i owned. it will cool a room down and it is very quiet on medium setting.

We purchased this because our AC was not working. It did an excellent job of circulating air and making our steam room of an apartment (here in Georgia) a little more comfortable to live in. Now our AC is back up and running, it does an amazing job of circulating the air and saves us running the AC for so long. That said, I do notice an increase in our power bills on days that it has been on.

Keeps rooms very cold it has a low humming noise but helps you sleep

We have a very humid hot house without ac for the time being and to have this I end up freezing at night. It has tremendous power for its size. Vornado is known for its power and it doesn't disapoint. Very sleek modern looking can be placed anywhere and fit into the environment. It's tilts all the way up 90 degrees and when you tilt it it's very smooth so it was built very nicely. Highly recommend own(ed) 4 vornados in the past.

Very powerful fan. Will keep you cool for sure. The only thing is that only the lowest setting is quiet. But in hot weather I don't really care how loud it is!

The fan does a very good jo at moving air and is very quiet in the lowest 2 speeds. The 2 upper speeds are still quiet but you will have to turn your TV up in the same room this fan is on.

I have no air conditioner in my room, so when the summer comes my nights have been filled with sweat. When i was looking for fans, I wanted a powerful one and this fan fit the bill. It has 4 speed settings, and the highest setting is so strong that it put an end to the horrible sleep I was getting, as it cooled my room down tremendously. The highest setting is a bit loud, but not disruptive. There is a big drop-off in noise when its on the second strongest setting, and I can't even hear it on the settings below that. Only drawback is the price, there are a lot of fans that are cheaper, but this one certainly does what I needed it to do.

Excellent product, very quiet, just wish the highest setting was a bit more powerful.
