So, living in L.A. ...it gets hot ya know?. The air in my apartment gets hot and stagnant. My ceilings are 10ft. high, so a lot of hot air just gets trapped up there. The Vornado circulates all the air in the room and significantly makes the room feel cooler because the air is moving. My living room is a decent size, and I can feel the air circulate from over 20 ft. away. The fan works and it doesn't get too loud. Would buy again, price point is good for performance.

Have owned this several months. This fan is small, surprisingly quiet on 2 lowest settings, and very effective at pushing air around. I own 2 of these, have been using them virtually non-stop during this very warm summer in a condo. One is in a windowless room which serves as office space so much time is spent here. Need to experiment where to place and where to aim. I found it best for me to set it near a corner in my open dining room, about 15" off the ground and aim it unobstructed at ceiling; or in my windowless office, placed closer to center of room (also 15" off ground) aimed up at a blank wall opposite from my desk -- surprisingly better than aimed right at me! Hope it lasts!

This fan design hasn't changed much in 20 years .. it now has a feature that keeps the same level when you turn it on and off. Get it on sale, it's a 5 year fan... it'll last.

This fan really circulates the air in a room. If on high though, it is a bit loud but we use it to sleep so it acts as our noise maker. Would definitely recommend.

I’ve had the fan on continuously for a month and so far so good. Using it in large bedroom I’m able to increase degree setting several degrees. Very little noise on setting 1 & 2, I’ve not felt the need to use on higher setting. Only time will tell if it is worth the 100.00. & 5 stars.

It works as advertised by pulling air from floor level and bouncing a funnel of air off a ceiling and walls. The Vornado 660 provides a constant movement of cool air, throughout an entire room, rather than a momentary blast of cooler air from an oscillating fan. I purchased the first Vornado for living room. A week later, I purchased a second Vornado for the bedroom. Both Vornado 660’s are used to limit the use of air conditioning and it’s accompanying expense.

Amazing great way to cool off quickly. i utilize it to keep my room cool by putting it in the hallway to point into my room to get the air conditioning.

This thing is powerful, compact, and not loud. I use it almost daily - since the lowest setting keeps airflow and creates subtle white noise I've grown accustomed sleeping to.

I love the 5 speeds. It's pretty quiet on the 2 lowest speeds and not terrible on the highest speed. It does a great job circulating the air.

I recently purchased a new home and the HVAC is dated and does not sufficiently push air so i decided to get a Dyson air circulator (the one that is a combo fan, air purifier and heater) but the cost was not justified so I returned and purchased this model and I would recommend this. It pushes the air super well, potentially better than the oscillating dyson model and there are 4 speeds. The con is that on the two highest speeds, it is quite loud (significantly louder than Dyson). If you're watching TV nearby, you'll have to amp up the sound to hear or turn the fan down. While some wouldn't call this cheap, I'd say the monies are justified on this one.

Very powerful, very quiet at low speeds. we normally only need to have it on level 1 or 2, keeps us cool while we watch television without hearing the fan at those levels.

Simply Awesome!! Have 5 Vornado 660's in my home: bedside, living room, kitchen, treadmill, stationary bicycle. Ready to purchase another 2 right now. Especially helps us fall asleep at night and stay cool throughout.

I was initially skeptical about this high price fan when I saw it showed up on the deal site that I regularly visits. However, with an expiring Best Buy rewards certificate and the promotion it was running, I figured its time to test it out what other forum members were raving about. The fan was way quieter and moves air more efficiently than the other mid range fans I used around the house. I was specifically impressed by the mechanism that is able to hold the vertical tilt in the same angle throughout the hours I had it on. I would definitely recommend this unit to a family member or a friend when its on-sale again.

My onky complaint is that the fan starts on "high" speed. I wo der why they did thay. Otherwise it is perfect. It is stylish and it works well.

I've had several Vornado fans, and they all surpassed my expectations. They are high-quality, highly efficient fans that you can't go wrong. A must in a household 2 thumbs way up.

This is the 4th Vornado - 600 fan I have purchased. All rooms are cool now. It puts out a lot of air on high and has 3 lower speeds. It rotates up & down and if you put it on a turntable, you can rotate it sideways without moving it. The buttons are on top so they are easy to reach even when it is placed on the floor. It can be taken apart to clean.

Gets the job done. A littel pricey, but for it size and the little noise it makes it is worth it, might really buy another for my main room
