moves the air in the room which makes it feel cool when you're in front of it but doesn't cool room much if its already hot. Does not make a lot of noise which is great

I live in a two story apartment with no A/C upstairs. Ever since I purchased this fan I've been able to push air up my stairs and lower the temperature on the second story using another fan. There's four speed settings, first two lower speeds work great if you looking for a quiet setup. Third setting starts getting pretty noisy but pushes air in the room really well. Fourth setting is very noisy but you get a lot of air moving. I usually sleep with the second speed aimed at the ceiling. Overall a good product. Just wish it had a remote control.

The Vornado is a good air circulator but the price still kinda pricey. On medium and low setting, you can barely feel the air. While on high setting it get loud and can be obnoxious for some people taste.

The selling point for most Vornado fans is that they move more air than other fans. This I found to be true.
The fan will not pivot below the horizontal position (down). This is in keeping with Vornado's intended use for the fan (on the ground or at a low point to force colder air up and thus cause circulation through the room) but does limit where it can be placed.
I also dislike the user interface. There is a power button and then three buttons for low, medium, and high. Every time you turn the fan on it defaults to high. It also, as far as I can tell, will not restore its on/off state if power is lost (so if it's running and you pull the plug it won't be running when you plug it back in). This means that smart home gadgets won't really work with this fan other than for shutting it off. Earlier models of Vornado fans had a simple dial which would retain the chosen speed setting if power was cut.

This “air circulator” is a step above a normal “fan” in both price and build. When it stopped working, I was going to return it to the manufacturer for a replacement but found the there was a fuse in the plug that had been tripped. Took it out and put it back in and it has worked fine ever since. The multiple speeds are great for both circulating the AC in the summer in a room, and for circulating the heat from the wood stove in the winter.
The only thing I wish was different was that I could attach it to a smart plug to control when it comes on and off from a distance. Cutting the power to the outlet will turn it off, but restoring power will not turn it back on, you have to get up and push the on button every time once power has been cut off to it. I guess that is solved by the 665AE model that has Alexa compatibility.

I bought this fan to go upstairs. I don't get good circulation upstairs this fan is powerful. On the 4th setting it is much louder than other settings. Easy to move from room to room!

This is not your average fan - it keeps the air circulating in the room which helps to keep the temperature down. We were using a regular fan that just doesn't compare to this. My only complaint is that it's a little noisy on the highest speed, but it's still tolerable. I recommend angling it towards the ceiling to get the air flowing around the room.

I had my eye on this fan for a while now and liked to check them out at the different stores to see how well they operated. In the store it didn't seem like the lower settings would do much. But as I just unpacked one of the three I bought to see how well it would do. On one of the lower settings it really circulated the air around the room and brought a much more pleasant feeling than a fan just blasting air in your direction. Which I probably will end up doing a little this summer as the heat ticks up.
Good fan. Can move air around in a large room to bring the overall temperature down.
I would recommend this to a friend

Great product in every way...It is whisper quiet; I usually don't even know it is on, except for the movement of air

If you place the fan in the right place on the highest speed it does a real good job of cooling the room. It is however noisy on the highest speed. It is not very loud on the lower speeds.

I moved from an old pedestal to this Vornado! The fan is simply amazing! It really cools down the whole room. The only thing I have a problem about is that they advertise this as a noise less product. Well, it is not. At 3 and above fan speeds, it does make a sizeable amount of noise. Do not expect a noise less operation.

How different can this actually be from other fans or tower fans?. Only downpoint on this fan is that it won't rotate which would of been a big accomplishment. In regards to speed I would say it's slightly powerful then most fans out there for $100 I would say get a tower fan.
