I recently moved into a home with an out dated AC. To bridge gap with replace of that and ceiling fan installation, I looked to circulator fans and initially purchased a dyson (fan, purifier and heater) but the cost wasn't justified so I returned it and got this one. It's very powerful at full strength; however, it's also quite loud. But most days, I have it at the lowest or one up setting and that's quiet enough to watch tv nearby but still move the air in my open/larger room. On high, I have to blast tv sound to hear it. I'd definitely prefer a good ceiling fan or maybe a swamp cooler to this but I would recommend this and the price is feasible/justified.

We bought this fan for our living room. In the winter, the fireplace needs to push air through a large room. We were left with cold spots in the room and overly hot spots. We keep this fan on low and it is hardly noticeable but wow does it move and equalize the air in the room. We love it so much we bought a second and we use it to push cool air up from the basement in the summer. It keeps the the A/C bill down and we like that!

I've had several Vornado fans, and they all surpassed my expectations. They are high-quality, highly efficient fans that you can't go wrong. A must in a household 2 thumbs way up.

Use on my back patio. it circulates the air like a boss. I wish I bought the one with the stand. Live and learn. Great little fan that is quite!

The VORNADO 660 is amazing, quiet, and powerful! On the low speed you can't hear a thing but you can feel a gentle breeze no matter where you are in the room! The medium and high settings are phenomenal at circulating air around the room. The room feels much cooler on all settings and I'm thrilled with it! I've read other reviews where they use this to help circulate heat in the winter too. Great Job VORNADO!

FIrst off it's definitely a fan, and it does make noise. BUT it's quiet as fans go, and I use it on speed 2 most of the time. I use it at night, and it does keep my room cool which is what I got it for. If you want to really push air, you can ramp it up, and it'll move air perfectally, but the noise will increase. Overall I love this purchase, and it's got an incredible warranty.

In my room ( the man cave) I have a custom build PC, PS3, XBOX 360, and a 40" Samsung TV. Now as you can imagine, all these things turning on together and staying on tend to build up quite a bit of heat, enough to make me sweat. I dealt with this for a while cause my brother wouldn't be playing the consoles a lot back then, but now he plays for literally the same amount of time I'm on the PC...4 hours or so. One day I said enough is enough! I didn't like sweating in my own room after a long day, so I decided to buy a fan. I went through a few pages before getting to the Vornado. What actually drew me here was the price, it was much higher then all the other fans I had looked at. So the question came to mind....is it really that good? Unfortunately, fan reviews are not easy to come by, which is understandable. So I just did some research on what made a Vornado so special from other fans. This fan actually circulates the air in your room and it feels like a light breeze all over your room. It brought down the temperature in my room by about 3 degrees, but on top of that it's a constant breeze that cools you off, so it feels even better then what the thermal reads. Because of the way this circulates air, I actually had to not use my ceiling fan so it would not disrupt the circulation process. This fan blows out a TON more air then any fan I have ever had before. forewarning though, please be advised that it circulates air, that means it will not do it's job if it's pointed directly at you, it has to be pointing to some top corner of the room to move the air round properly

Excellent air circulator when you don’t use your air conditioner. I use it in a large living/dining room area at a temperature of about 75 degrees when it’s 90 degrees outside and you can feel an air breeze circulating around you that feels really comfortable. It also has a very low decibel level at the highest setting. Highly recommend it.

Great air mover works for two rooms in the house at once. High speed is a little loud but bearable all other speeds are relatively quiet.

For something so small it's so powerful. And the air comes out cool. The best purchase EVER. I have had other fans in the past but this fan actually cools my living room to kitchen area. Thinking of getting another one for the bedroom so I don't have to run the a/c and save on the electric bill.

This fan really moved around air. We have put this in our bedroom in order to move around air and when placed close to the AC register, this thing makes the entire room feel equally cool. In fact this helped us lower the AC temperature and still be very comfortable. In addition to the movement of air, this fan is actually fairly quiet
