The AVH10 are wonderful to heat high-ceiling rooms in my drafty old house. (I am used to cool rooms but these heaters help so much.) The bigger model heats too but it is larger, gets hotter to the touch in its metal case, and I had one that failed completely after a month. I stuck it in a closet for a year but winter returned. Maybe it would have healed? No. But the heaters are guaranteed. I emailed the Vornado company and they are cheerfully replacing it at their cost, including shipping. I had to send images of the broken one, with its cord cut. These people are amazing and I highly recommend their products. (I asked for an AVH10 in exchange and they were ok with that too.)

There is a bit of plastic smell at first but once it gets going the smell goes away. Temp in house dipped below 50 but this brought temp of the room I had it in up 10 degrees. Never turned up to high because didn’t want to risk overloading the circuit. Was nice to toast the toes. Glad I got it.

Best Space Heater for a new Baby Room .

It was the best item I have ever bought from BestBuy. It's the best ever for a new baby room, small, safe, and you can set the desired room temperature you want.

Can't keep up the heat
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.The good news is it's lightweight, quiet and stays cool so it's safe for pets. The bad news is it doesn't maintain the set temp on the low setting. I set the temp to 72 on high; once the room was at that temp, I turned it to low and the room temp immediately began to drop. I kept it on low all night and it was only able to get up to 70 on that setting. So, to maintain the set temp you have to have it on high the whole time, which is louder and defeats the purpose of multiple settings. Also, the indicator light is ridiculously big and bright. It's so bright at night that it disrupted my sleep.

I have to admit, it's quite...........

Right out of the box, I was having issues getting the heater to work. Once I did get the AVH10 Vornado going, it barely pushes out the heat. I have a smaller ceramic heater that I paid way less for that Kicks this heaters butt. It's currently 12 Dec C (54 Deg F) outside and the heater is struggling to achieve 21 Deg C (70 Deg F) in my camper. It does have the tip over safety feature which is good around the kids and dog. I have to admit, it's very quite. Don't get your hopes up too high when buying this product. It's over hyped.
