Customers admire the TRANSOM Window Fan for its quiet operation even at high speeds. They appreciate the touch control panel and remote control for convenient adjustments. The reversible exhaust function and sleek design are also well-received. While some customers wish for more airflow adjustment, overall, the fan meets their needs for both summer and winter.

Placed this fan in the bathroom to pull out humidity/steam and pull in some fresh air. It has been working great. Be sure to get some weather stripping as the included stuff will not cut it.

My room gets pretty hot especially in the afternoon because it is on the west side facing the sun. We have central air but the vent is pretty small compared for the room. I bought this because I needed a better fan so I won't have to use the air conditioner too often. I got the item, installed it on my window. The temperature on the thermostat started at 87°F, let it run for almost 2 hours and the temperature kept fluctuating between 86-88°F. The fan itself is pretty strong but the air circulates only by the surrounding area of the fan, straight towards the other side of the room. I also noticed that the air goes straight and downwards so if you are using this for your bedroom, you should have a window higher than your bed (not in my case).
I decided to take it out of the window, and place it in a chair with the box to elevate it. This is what works best for me. The fan blows stronger than normal pedestal fans but is not too loud.

I love the quality of Vornado products. I have three of these in my house. I use them to blow cool air into the rooms with the outside temperate is low and I reverse the airflow to pull cool air from our basement when it is hot outside.

Excellent window fan. It’s quiet the exhaust feature is really nice to pull the hot stale air out of my enclosed lanai. I looked at other window fans but I’ll say none compared to this one for value and quality

I had these fans in my windows because I'm a hate crime victim who is dealing with people who are desperately attempting to drug me without my consent. Fuming my apartment with natural gas is a method they apparently using. The reversible exhaust was a feature that I thought would be helpful but they found a way around it. In a normal situation, these fans are probably very good.

Fits the window perfectly and keeps the temperature comfortable. The reversible feature is nice on hot days when it draws the air conditioned air into the room.

Solid exhaust fan, does its job. I have it in an upstairs window at the top of the stairwell and it helps to reduce the temp during the day by a few degrees.

I purchased this fan to replace a $17 box fan. I was not impressed. This fan is fairly quiet, but doesn't come close to moving as much air as the box fan it replaced. It still relies on tension from the window to keep it in place. I was hoping the partition that seals the rest of the window off on either side of the fan was somehow attached to the fan. It is not. It is just a series of small foam blocks that you stuff in the window. My opinion: it's not worth the price.
