This little space heater is just unbelievably great! It’s portable and it heats up even a fairly large room well. I got two of them for a few rooms. On a cold day it warms up a medium size room quickly so you don’t have to turn on the heat for the entire house.

The "large" room rating is overstated. I placed it in 300 sq ft room that was 68 degrees and it didn't change the temp an hour into operation. I could feel the heat about 8 ft into the room, so it's probably better suited for 100-150 sq ft. Beyond that, the design is spectacular. It has a small footprint, clear display, and it's totally silent. Not really sure why they would develop a new model without wifi though. Seems a little shortsighted. I'd absolutely purchase a larger version (it's tiny) that could sufficiently heat a 300 sf room, but they don't make them.

It certainly does its job and heats up the room rather fast. U didn't get a remote control though if I am honest. The space heater is very warm and I have liked it.

DO NOT let the size of this fan/heater fool you!!! When they advertise "Whole Room" they mean it. I purchased seven (7) radiator-type heats (@$48 each) to put in several rooms - inexpensive whole-room heating. They work, but if you want to warm up a room fast - This little device is amazing. And after the fact, I wish I bought seven Vornados at 3x the price.

To be a small heater it works pretty well. I would recommend it.

I was looking for a space heater that was affordable, compact, and portable and from previous experience with other Vornado products, I decided to go with the Velocity 5R. The Velocity 5R definitely suites my needs of a space heater being compact, portable, and affordable!

Keeps my room hot, not very loud, Just what I needed. Sometimes the fan turns to high by itself but after a couple seconds it goes back down to low if its on the low setting.

Easy to use. Makes the room feel toasty. Definitely recommend purchasing

With a name like "Vornado", I had expected a stronger gust of hot air, but that wasn't the case. It was, however, strong than the unit I was replacing. For my needs, it didn't work very well, but only because it was for a vestibule at a warehouse that wasn't heated and with glass doors, so it was cold no matter what. It did, however, warm it up at least a little bit. If I thought I needed a little extra heat in a room in my house, then I suspect that this would work well.

Perfect little gadget to help warm up certain cold areas of the house, light to carry around and compact to place in smaller areas

We are really liking this space heater. We use it day and night. It operates fine with a nice even hear. Like others have mentioned, there are times that there’s a slight noise like the fan bearings are out of balance, but most of the time it's very quiet. Looking forward to using it for many years to come.

Amazing heater. And so so quiet when maintaining the temperature. Power up is a little loud when getting to the temperature you want but doesn't last long. Plus it has a powerful fan for the summer weather. My son purchased this for heat and I fell in love with it and had to have my own. The buttons are very visible and very easy to use.

Good little heater but as others have mentioned the thermostat is in no way accurate. Ambient temperature is way off. My use for this heater is a 10x15 room and keeping the door closed. The timer feature is good for nighttime bedroom use. Shuts off automatically.

This little thing is powerful!!!! My complex liked playing with the heat during the winter time. When we had our baby I said "oh no straight to bestbuy I go" lol i purchased this heater and it kicked the colds butt. Vornado is the best!!!

Like its performance and ease of use but priced a bit high

This little heater does a big job. I use it to heat up my garage for my dogs and it really fills the room.

Surprisingly uniform heat, consistent airflow, and easy thermostat adjustment. Very quiet as well.

Great, small room heater , quiet at all fan speeds

has no issue heating our entire downstairs area of our house (maybe about 800-900 sqft) using the low setting. It can do it much quicker on the high setting but its loud on that setting. Have some patience and just use the low setting, it will get the temp where you want it with no noise in just a little bit longer

Small but mighty. Good quality and good for small bedroom. Our heater was broken in my apartment and i need one for my bedroom because it’s so cold this past winter.
