Customers are pleased with the camera's clear picture quality, both day and night, and its surprisingly long battery life, enhanced by the effective solar charging capabilities. However, some users found the SD card difficult to access and expressed concerns about the LTE connectivity and the motion detection's accuracy. The ease of setup and use of the app were also highlighted as positive aspects.

Great Solar, Poor Cellular

I was excited to receive this solar powered camera. I have many surveillance options at my home and I was anxious to see if this would fill my remote surveillance needs. Sadly to say, it doesn't get the job done completely. When it arrived, I charged the battery as the instructions directed. I was advised the model I received worked on AT&T's network, which has great service in my area. I installed the included microSD card and placed the camera in an open area. Upon turning it on, it went though the sequence of light flashes that indivate the status of the camera. That's where the issue was for me. No matter what I did, the camera has not, and will not connect to the cellular network. I even updated the firmware after seeking assistance from the very responsive and helpful support team at Vosker. Nothing about the cellular transmission works for me. This renders the camera to basically nothing more than a solar powered game camera. The battery is recharged via a solar panel mounted on top. The camera functions seem to work as advertised. The camera captured images through motion detection but no alerts were ever sent to the downloaded Vosker app on my smartphone. The camera doesn'teven register as communicating with Vosker's system. Another issues I have is the device's physical security. The door that covers the SIM card, microSD card, and power switch is accessible by sliding a switch and opening it. It doesnt lock and can be opened by anyone. Also, the battery cover doesnt lock so the battery can be removed. For this to be advertised as a surveillance camera, more physical device security is to be desired. All in all, my experience with the Vosker V150 was that of a solar powered game camera with no alerts to tell me if someone was lurking about. Unless your in the market for a solar game camera, I'd look elsewhere for my remote surveillance needs.

The Vosker - V150-US Solar Powered 4G LTE Cellular Outdoor Security Camera leverages the power of solar panel and LTE technology to give you a wireless security solution capable of capturing images in remote locations like none other. This camera is easy to use, comes with everything you need to get started and only takes a few minutes to setup. Thanks to the mobile design of the camera, you can place it nearly anywhere as long as the area has adequate LTE coverage and sufficient sun light to keep the battery charged.
There is no live streaming options with this camera and mobile app. It will only display photos of the surveillance area. The photos are pretty clear and capture movement very well. It would be nice to a live streaming option, however the ability to capture high quality frames of any given moment works well for me.
Be aware that this camera does not work with WiFI networks and will require a Vosker data plan. It includes a 7-day trial which will give you enough time to assess the functionality of the camera. The mobile app is capable of displaying notifications triggered by events detected on the camera which keeps you updated on anything that's happening.
The Vosker - V150-US Solar Powered 4G LTE Cellular Outdoor Security Camera is a good security solution. It works well in remote areas especially where there is limited access to power. You will be able to stay updated on any area, whether it's a long term application, or temporary solution like keeping an eye on you vehicle.
The camera is built to last. Very durable design and can hold up to the elements such as rain or cold weather.
I recommend the Vosker - V150-US Solar Powered 4G LTE Cellular Outdoor Security Camera.

Nothing but PROBLEMS - AVOID

I’ve had nothing but problems, since the day I received the first V150 (which tells you I’ve already had more than one). When the first unit was received, I didn’t have time to go through the full setup…so, in the meantime, I installed the mounting bracket where I intended, and attached the camera. Unfortunately, I ended up having to go out-of-town on business for a few days, and it was during that time that a torrential multi-day storm came crashing down on Northern California. By the time I returned home, and waiting a few additional days for the storm to end, the camera’s housing ended up having water inside it. Vosker states a IP65 rating, which, as defined, means “partial protection against dust that may harm equipment” (the ‘6’), and “protection against low-pressure jets (6.3mm) of directed water from any angle (limited ingress permitted with no harmful effects” (the ‘5’). I will concede that the storm we endured was far greater than what would normally be expected in Northern California…but, at the same time, I wouldn’t have expected water to actually get inside the housing.
Moving onto the second problem, I contacted someone at Vosker, to inquire about what was needing top be done. For the purpose of this review, I am not allowed to go into details…but, I can state that dealing with this situation took far longer than it should have, and more than a couple emails never received replies until I pressed further. In the end, it took almost a month to receive a replacement unit, which I still haven’t installed…due to the next problem.
After another ultra-busy week, I was finally able to get the camera activated, and set up within the app. Activating the camera was simple enough. However, after getting the camera activated, I started going through the process of changing settings. One particular setting (honestly, I forget which) required the app to be restarted. However, after shutting down the app (to be certain, I force-closed it before reopening it), and reopening it, I discovered that the app had logged me out, requiring me to log back in. Thankfully, I use a password manager, thus making entering my login info problem-free…except that the app refused to log me back in. it gave me some error message about having difficulties communicating with the server. With other products, the user would have been informed (at least in-general) what the problem was, be it “login info incorrect”, or “server is down”, or “server is undergoing maintenance”, etc. the Vosker app, on the other hand, provided NO information, so I had (and still have) no clue as to why I couldn’t log in. if it was a server matter, I would have expected it to be corrected within a few hours, or (at the latest) by the following day. Here I am, two days later, still having the same problem. As such, the app, and the camera, are COMPLETELY USELESS.
FINAL VERDICT:
Based on my experiences so far, not only would I HIGHLY recommend avoiding purchasing the Vosker V150, I will go so far as to suggest avoiding ALL Vosker products. If I could return this, and get my money back, I would. However, since I received the product free, for the purpose of reviewing the product, I am unable to do so. Even worse, I will still have to pay the taxes on a product that is unusable. Again, AVOID PURCHASING AT ALL COSTS.
Disclaimer: This product was provided free, or at reduced cost, for the purpose of reviewing the product. Nevertheless, the above review, be it positive, negative, or anywhere in-between, is a 100% honest review, and the price paid played absolutely no part in my review.

The Vosker V150 has provided a great solution for security on our property, and doubles as an amazing game camera! We had issues with people coming onto our land hunting illegally but this will definitely end that problem! In addition we now have a great game camera that does not require daily trips to the woods to retrieve photos. Setup took about 20 minutes including mounting, and the solar charging works amazingly!

Use this camera to remotely view any subject when there are no wifi signals available. The monthly service tiers are very reasonable and the functionality and peace of mind you get in return is very valuable to me.
I can see using this at a remote cabin or beach house or perhaps a game trail to capture some cool wildlife photos. The camera itself includes a 16GB micro SD card and the app will show the photos it has captured in near real-time. You pay for how many photos you want to be able to remotely view and for their image quality. HD images have a cap and their top-tier plan offers unlimited SD images.
The camera does not deliver nor store any video. This is a photo camera only. The image quality is on par with a mid-tier cell phone
and provides enough detail to be useful. The app is clean and intuitive and I need no assistance using it. I appreciate the forward thinking from the Vosker app devs. Very cool to have a camera with no requirement for traditional power or WIFI. Just screw it in anywhere and you're done!

Great Concept but could be better

What a great concept to have a security camera that uses cellular. The good news is that it comes with a great mount that has two swivel ball joints, one at each end. The end that you secure to the structure, tree or post has a 2 inch screw in it, this is great if you are securing to the top of a post. I first tried to secure it to a tree, where the camera would be out to the side and the weight of the camera would pull it out and cause it to droop. I am trying to use this on our property that we hunt on. I wanted to catch any wildlife in the area and to make sure no one is hunting on the property when we are not there. I ended up making a 2x4 mount to screw the bolt into. Once I found a location that had enough sunlight to use the solar panel, getting the Cellular aspect of it was troublesome, had to turn it off and on multiple times for it to finally connect to the service. I then mounted it to the frame and the cellular went out. Had to start the whole process again. Once it was finally in the right spot, antenna set at the right angle, we started getting setup. Then the wind blew and dropped the cellular signal. It’s a great product in the right conditions. But if it doesn’t have a reliable signal then you could be robbed blind and think everything is hunky dory since you haven’t had any notifications and come home to an empty house. I plan to keep trying, but at $10.00 a month for the lowest plan, is kind of pricy for not being sure its working.

I tried this camera out in a few places. It is best if you hide it for a few reasons. Number one it really is hard to spot even with the design. And number two it seems like that's what it was made for. I hid it outside and came up with some really good backdoor video. Amazing what's happening your backyard when you're not home. I haven't had a chance to hook it up over the cell phone network yet but works over Wi-Fi seamlessly I don't think I'll switch. I just think it's a nice add-on that it works across the cellphone network. The app is just like most other apps easy to navigate and easy to work. Highly recommend this for outdoor security.

This is not a video camera and the picture taking function works but is not the most crisp. I liked the construction and thought of a solar powered camera. Again seeing this too often, this is a brand new device but includes the old USB connection for the initial battery charge. It looks great and then you deal with limited functionality and old technology, makes you wonder if it is a device before the device that should be coming out. The connector to install it works great if you don't mind drilling a hole in a tree or board, to mount it. I'm not a fan of having to have the subscription to test it out and then if I want to keep using it I have to pay. I originally thought about using this at my home and then realized that unless left in the elements the solar panel is pretty useless. It is a simple solar based old school camera with a subscription. Maybe the next version will be much better.

I was able to get these set up just with the instructions in the box. I wanted them so I could see if anyone had been to the house while I was at work, so I put them facing down our driveways. They do a good job. I haven't had any issues so far. I was a little concerned about battery life but they seem to be staying charged. If you want someting you can really conceal they may not be the best option, since the solar panel has to be exposed, but that wasn't a concern to me.

I got one of these when we moved to keep an eye on our place. We are out in the country, so I just wanted to know if anyone was coming or going, but didn't want to go with a full-blown alarm system. Setup was quick and easy. App makes sense. It's a pretty quick curve to pick up. Helps that everything you need is in the box. The little door that the SD card is in can be a little tricky to open, but so far all is going well.

Looks & Acts Like it Works, but NOPE

I have a lengthy experience with security cameras both wired and wireless. I have worked with a lot of brands, I have integrated brands together, installed P2P network bridges to connect buildings, and much more. However a niche I had not explored was cellular and solar cameras. Enter Vosker. I was excited to get my hands on this product as I frequent a rural property that does not have access to power or internet access but does have issues with people dumping.
As soon as I received this camera, I charged the battery per the instructions, downloaded that app, and installed the camera on a wooden pole with plenty of light and clear skies. The camera did not come with the 16gb SD Card that was stated on the packaging, so I purchased a high end 64bg SD card as I know how quickly video and
audio takes up space. I inserted the SD card, scanned the QR Code, and the camera light showed green indicating good connection. The camera will not link with my phone.
I have restarted the camera, deleted the camera from the app and added the camera again, checked on the camera a few days later, and even though all the feedback and troubleshooting I get from the camera indicates that it is working, but nothing on the phone. I have been in touch with VOSKER who advised that they cameras only accept up to 32gb SD cards, so I bought a new 16GB SD card with the same specs as the card they were suppose to provide, restarted the camera and app again....still nothing.
By this time my free trial had lapsed and I needed to start paying for the cellular plan to see if this would help....nope. Wasted Money.
I really wanted to add this camera to the arsenal as it definitely fills a void in my coverage. But if the camera doesn't work and I cant access the footage, I cant suggest it to anyone. I will keep looking for another

Worst company. Horrible device. Unreliable

Both cameras stopped working shortly after installation. Vosker says I have to drive to the property. Disassemble the cameras and install a manual firmware update using my laptop. These cameras are brand new. They have full service and full battery. Vosker says they don’t have technology to send push updates to the device. Customer Service is horrible. DO NOT BUY. Worst product you could own for watching your property. Completely unreliable in service and support.

Have no idea if camera is all it claims to be. Vosker app is a joke, tried like 39 times to get it to connect to camera, seems to be stuck in some “ please try again” loop. Tried their on line help, guy told me “ try it all again “ on Monday. Really.
