The Vosker V300 outdoor wire free security camera is a rugged looking camera that has some good looking features such as the ability to work off of LTE and not need a WiFi connection and a solar panel that is mounted to the top that makes it not need a power source. This is something I think other cameras should utilize as a backup means to their Wifi powered cameras.
However, this camera only works well if you sign up for a subscription service which ranges anywhere from $10 to $45 per month. The cheapest option available gets you access to 250 photo alerts, 7 days of history and 10 full HD video downloads. The most expensive option would be the ELITE which offers 2000 photo alerts 40 full HD video downloads and and then there are add ons which add more photos and more HD video downloads and 40 minutes of live streaming can be added to any plan for an additional for a single payment of $20.
So if you're looking to purchase this for a property that does not have a wifi option available, then you have to know that the monthly cost is there. They do include an SD card with the camera for local storage.
Setup is very simple. Charge the included battery and scan the qr code with your Vosker app and you're squared away. Took a few minutes to get a good cellular connection. The app contains alot of settings that you can change and edit, some that I'm not even sure I know what they do. The photos that are taken by the V300 are good, not great on the app however the saved photos on the provided sd card look way better. I didn't realize this until I took the SD card out to delete photos and realized they looked much better. The camera had some issues with showing black and white night mode photos on the app when I would try to view them. Even during day it was recording in night mode, so I thought. Then when I viewed the photos on the SD card everything was bright vibrant colors. Weird.
I honestly can think of multiple reasons and ways to use this camera. Property owners who want a access to their homes that don't have wifi, hunters who want to keep an eye on their land and maybe workers who would like to keep an eye on a job site. All would be good people to use the V300. If you or your business fits into one of those areas and you're ok with the monthly fee, you should take a look at the V300 and see if it works for you.

Are you receiving night photos during daytime, charliehustle? That is very unusual. You should contact our experts on vosker.com or at 1-888-986-7537. They could also provide you some advices to make the most out of the live-stream option. Thank you for sharing your experience! -- PF, Vosker Team

Reolink is a better camera. Most cameras use WiFi but sometimes you need cellular coverage. Vosker and Reolink are some of the very few companies that offer cellular service. Reolink is T mobile, Vosker is Verizon.
Vosker charges you extra for everything.
- Live streaming by the minute.
- limits the amount of photos, charges you if you want more.
- limits the amount of video, charges you for more video.
- charges you more to view history of events past a week.
- despite having Verizon, 100% of the cameras purchased will connect and disconnect. Meaning if your being vandalized or robbed, the events will not notify to your app.
- the solar panels are by far superior to any other competitors. Reolink, arlo, Ring, solar panels are junk compared to Vosker,
- Vosker is a Canadian company, Reolink is Chinese. In this case the Chinese company is superior in services provided.
- the cameras and panels are solid and do not feel cheap.
Sometimes you will be forced to utilize Vosker because satellite and cable providers don’t have good service and only Verizon works in the middle of no where.

V300 scammmmm

Do I really have to give even one star? The v300 is as close to a scammm as I've ever seen. The solar cell doesn't charge the on board battery. Evidently wasn't designed too. They say it has a rechargable battery and it does. But you'll have to use the charger to recharge it, every two or three days, even with direct sunlight. The solar cell does absolutely nothing. The pictures....you can't tell if it's your husband or a Sasquatch when it snaps a shot. I've asked the company give me 1/2 of my purchase price back if I send it back, they said, they don't buy their products back. I can certainly understand why. In my opinion, this camera was designed to mislead the consumer with it's sleek look. Lipstick on a pig! Sorry

Hello MichaelM, the battery life is dependent on photos taken, transfer frequency, signal strength, and other environmental conditions. The camera will have the choice of ECO mode to greatly lengthen the battery life. The integrated solar panel helps to maintain the battery charge. If the camera takes many photos or videos, the solar panel might not be able to maintain the battery. In case you want to return the unit, the refund can only be done from where you purchased the camera within their policy. Vosker can only do a refund if it was purchased from their website within 30 days. Pass that time, the company can only replace a defective unit. -KM

I wanted to put the Vosker V300 through its paces before writing a review.
With solar charging the V300 is supposed to be versatile in where you can place it and easy to monitor with the Vosker App.
Setup is easy, a SIM card is included mounting options are many, I installed after the initial charging period to give the battery a head start on the solar charging.
I am in Commercial Development so I installed the V300 at a job site to be able to monitor progress.
A few things to think about:
You need to pay a monthly subscription (after 7 day trial) and there is no wifi option so without a subscription its a brick. (Also no 5G, what with tech moving at the speed of light there is no future proofing)
Its bulky and stickes out like a sore thumb.
No two way communication capabilities.
Video quality while adequate left a little to be desired and it was hard to make things out at times.
I did like the Vosker V300 maybe for the “gadget factor” but in actual use I think there are too many reasons to perhaps think of another solution for remote camera needs.

A Great, Flexible Option

Reading other reviews for this product, I think it should first be known that to get the full use out of this product, you will need a subscription. This should be expected due to the use of cellular data to transmit photos and video, as well as the need to store the photos and videos off-site, as otherwise, all a thief has to do is steal the camera and no valuable data would be accessible.
That said, this device is genius. It is quick and easy to install on just about any surface, provided you have a drill and a bit of know how. The solar panel means that, depending on your area and the amount of sunlight, you may never need to charge the battery.
The only downside I could find to the solar panel, is that it is connected to the camera and not very adjustable. You will need to mount the camera itself in a position where the solar panel is exposed to the sun. I wish there was an option to remove the panel, and be able to place it a bit away from the camera, or at least that it was more adjustable.
That said, this is a great option if wiring is impossible or inconvenient.

We are glad our new camera suits your needs! As for the solar panel, it can support the battery even if its exposure is not perfectly aligned with the sunlight. Still, we will pass on your feedback to our design team. -- PF, Vosker Team

I NEVER WRITE REVIEWS. But this is a must. I have paid over $2,400 for 4 cameras and batteries. We have had to send back 2 so for an exchange due to them not working. And after spending 7 hours on the phone with their techs (to tell me what we already know - that they don't work). And now I'm sending another one back that is defective. And they have the audacity to try to give me a partial credit. This company is the WORST. THEY LIE AND SCAM TO SELL UPGRADES!!! BEWARE!!!!!!!!

Bad Solar Camera

I purchase this camera because it has solar back-up but apparently it's not enough to keep the camera going in sunny Florida. With the solar the battery last 1-2 weeks then I have to remove battery and charge it. Others had suggested to use Vosker's plug in solar. If I wanted that I would have bought a camera then add solar.

When the camera works, it's pretty great. Unfortunately, I've hit a few software issues where the camera would lock up requiring a power cycle, as well as the battery life (even with the solar panel) isn't nearly what I'd expect. Just turning it on seems to drain 15-20% of the battery (which takes 24 hours to charge). If those issues can be resolved via software updates, it will be a a pretty nice camera.

I bought this camera because I wanted to see what was happening on a part of the house I couldn't see from the front windows.Activation is easy, just follow the directions and you shouldn't have any problems. One of the main reason I liked this set up was the solar power. The corner of the house I installed it doesn't have power. I didn't want to pay an electrician to run a line and I didn't want to run a 25 foot extension cord. The camera isn't cheap (not crazy expensive either) but it offers a ton of features and is worth the money I think.

Hi MarcB, the camera V300 offers a way to have a security camera in places where WiFi and electricity are not available. The camera only needs to connect to the cellular network in the area where you use the unit. The solar panel keeps the lithium battery pack recharged so you don't have to worry about the battery life. Thank you for your feedback! -KM

I was interested in a cellular and autonomous camera in terms of charging. after several searches my choice is placed on the latest Vosker - V300. I put it in my backyard so I could monitor what’s going on. The grip was super easy and the image quality is just super. Small bemol in terms of solar loading but for now it is manageable.

As a beekeeper, I have a fairly remote bee sanctuary without wifi or electrical outlets, and I wanted some kind of surveillance system put in place so I can see what's going on. I need to mount it hight up on a pole, and as there is no electricity in the yard, charging it manually is not an option. I wanted a solar powered camera that requires no maintenancr and it must work via cellepgine signal.
Im going tpo test it for a week or two and if it's a as good as it seems, I'll get another one for the other bee yard.
I can't believe I don't have to worry about "is the battery running down!" Or " the Wifi has gone down".
