    Right out of the box the device worked perfectly. We got this for my elderly Mom who's in her late 90's and having difficulty getting up from bed these days. The camera quality is excellent, range is as well. The device even can automatically follow movement and the listen and talk back and forth feature works fine. I'd highly recommend this device. You don't even need to use WiFi but if you do, you can view the camera from your cell phone too.

    Monitor screen is HD and the screen can be turned off at night while still being able to listen. After 12 months the camera and monitor will not connect. The monitor connects to my wifi but the camera goes on and offline. Really disappointing having to buy another monitor now.

    We have two cameras connected to our unit, and both constantly disconnect randomly. We’ve used different internet service providers and routers, and yet they still seem to disconnect all the time. It’s almost a gamble to see if the monitor will connect to the cameras anytime you turn it on (via WiFi or directly) and even when it does connect, the cameras still go out randomly. You’d be better off buying another brand or unit if you don’t want to lose sleep over fear of not having a working monitor like my wife and I have with our baby.

    Absolutely Terrible !!!

    I bought this monitor because of the size of the screen and the features As well as the name brand recognition.. Well its absolutely terrible. The room thermometer is completely off, constantly disconnecting. The app itself is constantly unusable. And this happens very often, you would think something to monitor your child would be much more reliable but it’s not. The sad thing is they aren’t very many alternatives. I wish VTEC would up their game and fix all the bugs that’s wrong with this monitor and their system.

    Great quality picture. Has separate parent monitor so you aren’t dependent on watching baby from your phone like other monitors. Has wall mount for clear view of baby in crib.

    A friend bought this for my baby, it was working great but after a few months, the until won't connect. We lose connection frequently and after several tries, finally it works until the connection drops again. I updated the software and no change. I recently reached out to Vtech support ([email protected]) and waiting for their response.

    Poor Choice for Video Monitor

    We've never had problems with radio VTech monitors. This version of their video monitors is terrible. It disconnects all the time - multiple times a night. Not just from WiFi connection but the RF connection too. Only way to reconnect is to power cycle the camera unit. Really convenient at 10PM with your kid that is a light sleeper ... It's not just my unit either. I've tried 3 exact same model from 3 retailers. Each was exactly the same. The one before this lost connection with the camera entirely. After trying all troubleshooting on VTech site, I emailed them. I received a response 40 day's later linking me to the instructions I told them I already tried. Pathetic. I recommend looking at Eufy brand. They are fantastic.

    This unit at night while on infrared has many false alarms. In addition to this it has poor battery life.

You may need to adjust the sensitivity at a lower level so it will not give you an alarm notification for the background or slight noise. The rechargeable battery of the parent unit is built in. We recommend that you contact our Customer Support at 1-800-222-3111 for troubleshooting and assistance. Our team will help you identify what the issue may be and replace the unit under warranty. We are open from 9:00 AM to 4:00 PM, Mondays through Fridays.

    Do not waste your money on this!! After a couple months suddenly the monitor could not connect to the camera. Tried doing everything possible to connect it but nothing worked. Looked online and apparenlty it happens a lot. What a waste of money.
