Didn't work for me until HP provided update

I had this pen for almost a year before HP provided an update to allow the buttons to work. They are a bit slow and laggy, however. The quality feel of the top button is sketchy the way it wobbles around. I've seen them broken off and I feel like mine is going to pop off every time I use it. I don't know why they designed it like this. If there were more universal options there I'd probably give it 2 star review but b/c the options are somewhat limited it get's bumped up to 3.

Got this to go with my new Dell 15" Inspiron 2-in-1, and it works great. I personally find touch screens to be a silly gimmick. I grew out of finger painting many years ago, and I have no use for a five pound tablet with a keyboard on the bottom. But if your screen is compatible with a stylus like this, the gimmick turns into a very useful tool. Writing is almost as natural as paper. And even with just the built-in Paint program in Windows, the art possibilities are amazing. The full digitizer screen plus a precise and easy-to-use stylus is the first truly new functionality I've seen in a PC in 20 years.

Very versatile. Optimized for Windows Ink, uses Inkspace to synchronize your notes across your devices. Ergonomic qualities balance it in your hand. Comes with 4 interchangeable tips, & AAAA Battery. Be careful not dropping it to the floor, & when installing battery & using it, take good care of the top of the pen, because you don't want to break it. If you take good care of your Pen, you can select on your touchscreen, & draw with your hand with great precision without any problems. Tips come in a hard case, to protect them safe, without losing them. Easy to open. Instructions included. Refer to the instructions, before installing battery, or using it.

I got this pen with my new Lenovo Yoga 720 15" and would have liked to have more options for a pen, but this is the only one that works with the new cputer (What the guys at Bestbuy told me). I looked at the Surface pen, but was told it will not work. This pen works just fine and came out of the box working without any input from me; as soon as i put the battery in the pen and got it close to the screen it was working already. It feels good in your hand and works great. I wish the price was a bit lower (it sels for $70 and no discount if you buy it with new computer with Windows Ink). If you need a pen for your Windows Ink, this one looks like a bullet proof product.

This pen worked just fine with my Surface Pro, the writing and drawing worked great but I wasn't thrilled about the top button and the magnet used to attach to the side of the Surface. The button always functioned as it was supposed to but felt like it was going to break at some point. The magnet just didn't hold the pen to the side of the Surface securely enough to give me any confidence it would stay for any length of time. I ultimately bought the MS Surface Pen and am very pleased with its performance. I have no concerns with loosing it or breaking. I would recommend this pen to a friend but I would recommend the MS Surface Pen more.

I loved the Bamboo Ink Smart Stylus at first, but I have only had my laptop and stylus for less than two months and I find myself using my mouse to do typical things like saving a document because using my baboo ink pen would freeze up my entire computer and I would eventually have to use my task mananger or restart my computer! Very frustrating, especially after highlighting and taking significant notes which I would unfortunately lose in the process. I also have noticed a downfall in other simple computer apps as well... I had hoped for better performance for the price I had paid for the pen

I'm not sure how well it works since it does not work with my HP Laptop! It is a HP issue I do think, because they have their own line of stylus and i'm sure they want you to buy theirs instead of a 3rd party, but from what i can tell it seems to be a kool device. the quick button function that work with windows 10 Ink program and the multi compatibility function to work with most devices to make use of a stylus. Wacom seems to have tried there best to make a device that works with most devices and make its functions as streamlined as one could want.

This stylus is a fun tool. I'm kind of new to using it. But I'm finding new uses for it as time goes on. It's very responsive and captures my handwriting accurately. The battery life is very good and it works well with Windows Ink apps like Sticky Notes, Sketch Pad, and Screen Sketch. I'd definitely buy it again. I also like to doodle but had gotten away from it in favor of keyboard input for most communications. But now I've re-discovered the artist in me. Pretty fun to experiment with the different colors, virtual pen and pencil tips, effects, etc. I'm glad I bought it.

So my experience so far 9 months after making this purchase has been great, the reason I am finally getting around to commenting on this product is I recently broke my pen top button off "don't know how". I contacted Wacom and within 7 days of chatting live online to having a replacement pen in my hand. yes, I had to give information and proof of purchase also, send in the old pen. but I looked up my tracking number and they still haven't received the pen I sent in, Thursday is estimated arrival. I am very pleased with the manner of chatting with someone online to receiving my replacement.

I love being able to use the pen on my laptop. It works well. I have used it as a pointing device no problems. I have even taken a likening to adult coloring. I have experienced one problem. The top button stopped launching the windows ink application. I contacted the Wacom company and they suggested I replace the battery. Unlink the Bluetooth and link again. I tried unliking only this far. With no success. The battery level in the setting said it is good. I have to find where they sell AAAA batteries. I even tried to change the settings on the other button on side. It does not customize or work. Anyways. If the buttons worked I would rate 5 stars.

I recently bought this stylus to use with my Lenovo Yoga 720. I especially like the fine tip. It’s not quite as versatile as my iPad Pro Stylus, where I can use it to flick up pages as I’m reading on-line or use to position the cursor. With the Bamboo Ink Stylus, you need to position the tip on the slider at the right to move up and down pages. Most of the screen seems to be used to enable note-taking on the screen, which isn’t something I’m planning to do. For reading on-line, it’s much easier to use a scroll wheel on a mouse.

    Needs increased support

Even though my laptop supports Microsoft ink, it is not supported fully by Wacom, after downloading the drivers I got an error message stating no supported tablet found. The pen does write but with out the drivers I can not map the three built in buttons on the pen which is crucial when using a 3D app such as Autodesk Maya which requires three buttons that you would normally find on a mouse used for panning, zooming and orbiting in 3D space. Using this pen in Photoshop and illustrator is fine since I can just use the modifier keys on my keyboard.

I have used this stylus for nearly 3 months now, predominantly for writing college assignments in OneNote, and I have to say I am impressed by the build quality, functionality and durability. Pros: * Very fluidic and responsive * looks stylish * build quality - dropped it a couple of times, but still works like a charm * 3 different nibs * minimal setup time * BestBuy's salesperson matched the price with another retailer even though I was not aware that it was cheaper somewhere else :-) Cons: * struggled to open the the nib box (not a deal breaker) * palm rejection fails occasionally (could be an issue with my laptop/One Note)

I had some major questions with the sales rep about the differences between a $60 stylus, and the super cheap alternatives found elsewhere. All said, I took my chances on it, and do not regret it. This was my first one, and its surprising how quickly i took to using it. In addtion to the smart settings pre-configured for Windows, I was super impressed with the dexterity of it. I was doubfful when the rep explained that it would naturally feel like using a normal ink pen. He was absolutely correct, but id amend it more using a Sharpie. The harder you press, the thicker the output is, just like in the real world.

this is a nice (cheaper) alternative to the microsoft brand stylus. i like the different buttons and that you can program them to do different things (ex. take a screenshot, open certain apps, etc.). i only gave 4 stars because i think with it not being a microsoft product (i havent tried the microsoft stylus so i dont have anything to compare to), it doesnt always work perfectly; it doesnt drag anything on screen, looks like the cursor is hovering over other areas of the screen, can be difficult to navigate websites, etc.

This was an unplanned purchase to go with new computer than has some extra features.. The whole system is pretty new so I have not used it allot so far, but do like what I have seen from it thus far. I am only using the computer part time for work until after the holiday then I expect to ramp it up... this is a great tool to allow me to be more creative and write more rapidly and directly transfer data/ info... I am excited about how it might help me to be more efficient also. Will be sure to update after I am more engaged with it.

    Great for digital art!

I was looking for an alternative to my laptop/graphics tablet combo for college, so I bought a 2 in 1 lenovo and this pen. My graphics tablet is also a wacom which has lasted many many years, so I trusted the brand and boy did it deliver. Pressure sensitivity is great, no lag at all, synced up with bluetooth with no trouble. Sometimes the button on the end doesn't work to bring up windows ink, but that's not really an issue. Though, as the pen is kind of pricey for an active stylus, unless you're using it for digital art/animation/3d modeling/etc, I would look into cheaper pens if you're just looking for a note taker or navigator.

This pen would be a 5 star if the first one I bought hadn't failed. After spending about 3 hours trying to get it to work with my new Asus 2in1, I returned it only to be told by the Best Buy staff that the pen would not work with that particular computer. Fortunately a supervisor was around and he showed me that the pen DID work with my laptop. Despite all the confusion and the failure of the first pen, I am extremely happy with the pen. It comes with multiple nibs so you can adjust the feel for what suits you best and drawing with it so far (I am a complete drawing beginner) is a joy.

I've had this pen for months and it didn't work when I got it home so I really just forgot about it. Recently I tried to get it to work with my Surface and found it hard to twist the top to check the battery. There was a bunch of sticky glue in there and I think it was preventing contact. I think I finally got it to turn on, but now the little cap on the top is wiggling, broken. I'm planning to take it back to Best Buy and see if they will stand behind it.
