When a bought this notepad I don't imagine how i went use this with my ipad.

This product is amazing. I works great... highly recommended.

There may be some sort of instruction on how to use the thing including the handwriting recognition but if so I, a writer and not a geek, didn't find it.

I purchased the spark for work. It took me two days and calling a technical to get the spark started. I was still not able to use it because it would disconnect from the bluetooth every five minutes. No good.

I was amazed at how well the product worked for the first two days. After that, though, the Spark went downhill. After working on several thumbnail sketches, the Spark refused to sync to my Android. After resetting the link between my phone and Spark, I was disappointed that my sketches were ruined by numerous stray marks that I did NOT make on paper. Re-tested and found that the Spark was now detecting the pen at over 1 inch away from the paper, not on all of the writing surface but on several large spots. I could literally write on air and it would be show up on the Inkspace transfer. Re-tested just a few moments ago and the stray marks are becoming more numerous. 1) I am planning to exchange it for a new one: In retrospect, the shipped box was "fishy": no shrink-wrap and some of the internal packing looked misplaced. So maybe Best Buy shipped me someone else's lemon. 2) The lack of documentation is horrendous. The application that you are supposed to download (Bamboo Spark App) no longer exists, replaced by Inkspace. The built-in documentation in Inkspace is virtually non-existent either. I got my phone and Spark to pair by trial-and-error downloading Wacom Apps until I found Inkspace (which seemed to do what the original Bamboo Spark App (now non-existent) was supposed to do), and then by pressing all of the cryptic icons on that app in all possible combinations until I got the pairing menu. Followed the same procedure until I got my first set of hand notes and sketched to upload to my Android. Had I known the Spark would go completely south on me two days later, I would've never bothered with the thing and returned everything for a refund on day one. 3) Willing to try a replacement one. It was impressive while it worked. But now it is as useful as a wet matchbook. If the replacement works flawlessly, I'd re-rate this to 4 stars for the hardware itself. The documentation, though would still get a 0 (zero).

Great device to add for those who attend lectures of any kind. Makes it easy to go back and reference your notes as it syncs right to your device, such as your phone. Love it!
