    Wacom wireless key remote

I was a bit scared to buy this, since I was so used to using built in express-keys, and I was afraid of connectivity issues. But, after I got this in, I didn't run into much trouble, really; things didn't feel as different as I thought they would, and actually they felt much better. I used to only have 4 keys, but now I have a whole host of keybinds to work with - not to mention on-screen keybinds, as well. There is really only one issue with this - hence the four stars: the radial at the top. It isn't nearly as responsive as it could be; most of the time, it just won't even work for me. And on the occasion it does, it is a bit choppy - not nearly as smooth as it could be.

    One Way to do it.

A hotkey remote seems like a must have for a drawing tablet user. This one is pretty good but their are a few issues. The touch dial is way to fast for any use I can find; even set to the least sensitive available. It is set up for undo/redo in some software and you can watch your work disappear and reappear right before your very eyes! Moving one reasonable step forward or backwards whether it be undo/redo or assigned to zooming is futile and makes the dial useless until I find a function that requires lightspeed. A Wacom representative was aware of it's finicky attributes telling me directly that it would not be good for those functions; which it was obviously over-designed for. Another issue is that within the Wacom Tablet properties I get duplicate applications showing up randomly that can interfere; they can be duplicated and they can re-appear sometimes leaqving doubt as to which one is to be used to assign keys in. Also after assigning hotkeys, upon returning to the properties where there is a diagram depicting hot key assignments, the labels will often revert to default. They may continue to maintain their assigned functions but you must reassign them for the labels to accurately reflect the function chosen and description you made the effort to type in the first place. This can make it difficult when first learning your own assignment, lol; or when returning to assign new keys and make adjustments but the whole thing is a default facade. The express key feels easier to use when stuck to the tablet and is otherwise to tall to use without shuffling it around in your hand playing a game of hand twister to reach some of the buttons. Sadly the remote does not stick to the bottom bezel which can be the left side of the screen when physically rotating into a portrait position, a real shame. I ordered one of these not realizing it came with the CintiQ Pro24 and I will be returning the second one after following the reps suggestions to try a few things on it; a great open box buy that I would recommend! I was looking forward to keeping it but I can see that I would rather try to find something better. I am 100% confident I could have designed something better with a technical team to help flesh out my ambitions and certainly cannot excuse the horrible touch wheel. I can say right now that should have been mechanical doubling as a fourway and the middle button should have been a clickable smooth scrolling wheel with left and right switches.

Not the greatest, especially for the price. I thought this was going to be a game changer, and as of yet, no such luck. Setting up the controls are bit aggravating, it should be as difficult as it is, not saying its hard just not simple. It also does this thing with the battery where its saying it's not charged, but the computer reads 87%, Apparently, I heard of this and am not really sure what the cause of it is. All in all, if you get this, I would say get it on sale, and even then, if this is your first time with a macro then you should be okay. But for anyone else that has already had one, then well.....Good luck....

This thing is very temperamental when it doesn’t want to work. Have to keep it charging all the time jic if it doesn’t keep the charge even if it’s off If the remote isn’t close to the Bluetooth connector that it will shut off about 2-3 secs after you turned it on cause it won’t connect. And when I say that I mean 9-12 counts as too far. I had to get a usb extender so the thing would actually work.

Great for additional functionality from tablets that don't have touch controls. Great for use on Fresco. Mainly use it for the wheel function, but soon will start learning some of the other many button shortcuts. Back padding makes for good no-slip grip on tablet or tabletop surface. It is pricey, but a nice addition.

This was recommended for professional navigation of Wacom Tablets. It is programmable, with many options. I am still faster with the manual gestures available on the Cintiq and a simple keyboard. I am only using this for 2-3 functions. Battery needs charging regularly.

It works as expected. I’m using it a lot. I wish there was a more fluid rolling wheel, but I love that I can zoom in and it feels well made. I’m not worried about buttons wearing out etc.

If you own a Wacom that doesn’t have the smart keys built in you will want this. It makes the digital art process way faster snd enjoyable. It takes a minute to get all the keys figured out but worth the effort.

Adds hot key options; lacks grip on angled Cintiq

Solid feel and buttons are textured for easily locating the button you want to press. Not a problem with the product itself, but I find it challenging to assign the best commands to the buttons. I suppose that will evolve as I use it while creating stuff. The 4 stars comes from it not having a place to sit on the side of my Cintiq 16 when angled at the highest point. It has a rubbery base that TRIES to grip the Cintiq, but ends up sliding to the desk. Perhaps there is an accessory I’m missing, but it’s pricey enough that you’d think something like that would be included. Overall, it’s another way to help in your creative workflow.

I wish I used this thing more. I think it is a great idea. I got it for my wacom one tablet and haven't used it a whole lot in all honesty. I programmed it for use with a drawing program and to program shortcuts for coding in my text editor. It would probably be cool if I took the time to get to know it better but in the moment, it is more work to try to remember which key goes to what function than just doing it as I usually do. If you have the time and will to learn it I'm sure it is a great time saver in the long run. It feels well made and has a bit of heft to it which I appreciate. Just wish I was motivated to use it more lol

The battery constantly says it's at 87% full charge. I charged it all day and within an hour of using it the battery was saying it was low and then shut down after about 2 hours of use. The buttons stop working, I end up not being able to even use the remote. Sometimes I'll be clicking a button multiple times for it to finally register or sometimes it will just shut off and then shut on again. Really really disappointed with this product and unfortunately I waited 1 day too long to return this for my money back so I could purchase something else so I'm definitely unsure of what to do with this device. I'll be calling to see if I can make a return still on the product considering because of COVID it's difficult to leave the house and travel the 25 minutes to the closest Best Buy without feeling like I should try to make a day of it since I try to leave the house only when necessary for my own health and safety.

Paired this remote with the Cintiq 22, and it's been a great way to quickly access short cut keys when I don't have access to my keyboard. It takes a little to get used to, especially the scroll wheel, but it's helped make my workflow more efficient when drawing.
