Well this particular one we just bought looked like it may have been a used item shipped to us - black shavings around the teeth. Cannot completely confirm if it was hair or not; real odd to me seeing black shavings. We cleaned it up thoroughly. After one use, there was rust the next day. We did use rubbing alcohol and dried thoroughly before storing. The first one we bought never had this rust issue.
