I find that the heavier thicker base with the wider head awful to use. It doesn't come with a case and the attachments are different and unfortunately even wider so I found that I was not trimming but using a lawnmower! I'm going to return this asap because the model at the store which is what I used to base my purchase on was the older model.

Never submerged in water, and the charger was always plugged into a surge protector. Currently in the process of contacting Wahl for repair / replacement, but they don't offer an email or live chat solution. i need to MAIL them or call them directly. Their product registration page is super clunky and seems to go absolutely nowhere. Why is my age a required field? Suspicious.
