Game is a fun "boomer shooter" type. Plays more like the modern Doom games than 90s FPS games but is very fun. The switch port is so-so. The frame rate dips, the resolution will dip a lot in intense moments, and I've had a few crashes. Unfortunately the game is NOT complete on cart, meaning a download is required to get the latest patch from July. That's disappointing. Suggest waiting for a sale.

Exactly what I wanted, a Doom-esque game that I can carry around at work, after class, or a long study session. It’s actually a lot of fun, but I’m wondering about the picture quality due to the game being on Switch… Still, solid game and great price for a physical copy of the game.

Boltgun was described to me as a 'boomer shooter' and while there are elements of the classics in here, it's closer to Doom 2016 in it's gameplay. Not bad, mind you, but some of the RPG stuff thrown in feels out of place, like leveled enemies, tiered loot and weapons etc. The art style is interesting, opting for a chunky Quake/PS1 aesthetic, but can be customized if you want a more Quake 2/3DFX Voodoo style smoother look.

The Warhammer series is a series that I have been familiar with for a while but I recently got back into and this video game is really cool that it has the old school retro Doom type feel to it combining it with Warhammer 40K.

I absolutely love this game and it's nostalgic fps trip through the world of warhammer 40K,i spent hours playing this and finding secrets.

This is an awesome old school style shooter! It's timeless fun, reminiscent of the 1990's shooter. I highly recommend!

It is absolutely fun, though i have yet to complete it, it feels so classic and so fast paced I had nothing but a blast...time to go beat it !

It's really Quake 40K, what more could you want? Excellent game!
