Darktide, the modern Vermintide. Honestly, this game can be played alone, but is most fun with friends. As mentioned prior, it’s a really fun horde-mode survival game based off the Warhammer 40K setting rather than the Warhammer Fantasy setting. The enemies are pretty fun to take down as a group, lots of opportunities for gameplay recording and funny moments. The voice acting for the game is HILARIOUS at times! Especially with the timing of a down squad mate or a boss type enemy that can fling your character off the map. If you know of the Warhammer 40K setting it will be easy to spot different types of elements from the lore and the universe, otherwise it may take some searching from either in the Black Library books, or perhaps a loretuber like WesHammer or Sandman of Terra on YouTube. If you understand the lore, it will make it easier to understand what is going on in the game.

Darktide nails the grim dark universe of Warhammer 40k. The weapons and associated sounds feel right on. Loving the game ans expect to do so for a long time!
