Excellent antitheft solution for the Nest Cam (Battery), which is pretty essential if you install the camera in an area that is open to the public -- it'd otherwise easy to steal the camera off the magnetic mount. Installation is easy, and although a really determined criminal could cut the wire with a wirecutter, it's still a good deterrent for the casual opportunistic burglar. It blends in nicely with the design of the camera, making it look like a natural part of it.

One of the risky ways of using the Google Nest cam is at arms reach. This contraption seems to address it! TL;DR for my frequent readers and details below. Pros: Easy to install Clean look - fits with the Google motif Perfect fit Cons: None really Meh: Not sure how much of a tug the cord could take Should have included one torx screw to replace the one that holds the mounting ring to the security cable making it tougher to remove. Right off the bat I popped open the instructions because I really didn’t know where to begin. The directions were pretty solid, especially when it tells you to look end of the cable which had a larger hole was key because a lot of directions use images but no words - and make you stare at the images until you can find the difference. Kudos. Keep your drill handy as you have to unscrew the bottom / side screw of the mounting plate to secure the cable that will eventually be connected to the camera’s Anti-theft mount / shroud. Directions indicated that Inside the shroud there was plastic covering the silicone holders in the shroud, but that was not the case for me. After placing the camera in the mount (actually, a perfect pristine fit), I used the torx screw, the other end of the security cable and wrench to secure the pieces together. Then, I let the magnet grab hold and I was done. Do I recommend this mount? Absolutely. It may deter someone from a grab theft if they see the cable, that’s for sure.

Straight to the point. This thing is light, simple to install and surprisingly secure. It's so thin that it's almost invisible at first glance. It seriously wraps my cam so tight, that it's like a second skin. It comes with everything you need to install it, so that's not a problem. The cable is sturdier than you'd think. So that's another positive thing. Really, I can't think of any reason why you shouldn't get one for your nest cam. If you live in an apartment, this will definitely come in handy, if management allows you to install a camera outside, that is. But for me, it goes great in my package drop off area. Allowing me to see just how parcel services are treating my stuff. Bottom line, this is a go for me. Highly recommended.

This is a great solution my original concern to the Google nest cam. This item will help minimize theft because the Google nest cam is magnetic and it helps secure it to a fixed location. Easy to install. Would recommend for theft prevention.

For a little piece of mind you can add this to your nest cam very easily. Install was a breeze. It looks and feels like premium plastic that will take any hits from the elements. It actually could fool me to think that it came straight from Google with how good it looks together. Now if someone really wanted to steal your camera I'm sure they could but this just makes it a bit more bothersome. Just something to keep in mind but you can't go wrong with this.

This holder fits the google camera perfectly. It was easy to set up and hang my camera indoors as I liked.

The pair was great for what comes with. All the pieces were provided and information was clear. It sad on Google's part that they don't provide this with their expensive cameras but it was great of Wasserstein to have a good addition. Overall, great value.

Easy to install and provides some peace of mind. If someone wants to steal your camera they will, this just make it a bit more challenging. I also have my camera mounted about 9 ft above the ground.

I feel better knowing that someone cant just walk up and take the camera off the magnetic base. Also it is barely noticebaly if tucked away nicely.

I think it is a great accessory for the camera. It fits perfectly, and keeps the camera from falling off its magnetic base in case of vandalism.

This is good for protecting the device from a fall but what I have an issue with is the night vision. No matter how I position the hood portion I get glare when the night vision is on. Not really sure how to solve this issue yet. The night vision was perfect before I installed this device. It was in the same position and pointing in the same direction. I included some pictures to show the difference.

I bought the Nest Cam battery version and it came with a anti-theft cable already (anti-theft in the sense that you can't just grab and go anyways), so I now fail to see the point of this product other than you'd need a phillips screwdriver to get this undone rather than a flat blade to unscrew stock cable? Maybe it adds another layer of protection? I dunno but I'm returning this.

Fits the camera perfectly. Easy to install. Added these to all my exterior cameras.

Excellent product and cut-resistant wire. Does not impede install or removal of camera for charging. Security screw requires special tool and prevents theft. Hood protects lens from light washout and some effects of rain. I consider it a must-have to supplement the Google Nest Camera.

Very simple to setup. Does as advertised and secures the camera.
