    In spite of a phone call to Bestbuy to confirm that this device will work with the new ring doorbell I purchased from Bestbuy, the device was NOT compatible, had a mini usb connector when the ring had a usb-c connector, and had to be returned. This was not an acceptable outcome and the result of poorly trained staff.

    I have both a hard wired and solar ring. So far I have not had any issue with the solar charging ring. My hard wired ring need resetting/calibration frequently.

    set it and forget it. i didnt have electric going to the door so this is awesome i had the ring without the charger for a while and it was annoying to take off and charge, this is great

    After about a month of charging ot just stopped charging completely. Says it is still connected and charging but it is in fact not.

      Please know that our solar charger, if placed in maximum sunlight exposure, can significantly prolong the battery life of your Ring doorbell and eliminate doorbell downtime due to charging. We do recommend that you charge your Ring Doorbell to 100% before installation to ensure maximum charging efficiency.

      Please also note that the charging speed varies according to sunlight exposure (direct vs. partial). Therefore, it will charge 1% of the battery every 2 to 5 hours.

    Okay..this is a lifesaver. If you are not wired and hate having to charge ever once in a while then this is the answer. It looks sleek too. But definitely worth the fee bucks. The solar attachments work great

    EXTREMELY DISAPPOINTED. I had really hoped that the other reviews were wrong. I made it a point to order the solar charger made by Ring and specific to the upgraded model. Not only did my battery loss 50% life in 5 days, the doorbell doesn't even reflect that it's connected, solar status says "add a Ring solar charger to Extend Battery Life" (see setting screenshot).
