    I got this item just four months ago and it already stops working. I thought it would be useful but it is a nightmare, now I have to pay someone to remove it in order to throw it away.

    I bought this in hopes to not remove or get a spare battery. This item doesn’t charge to battery at all. Sometimes it shows conned and that’s it. Have removed the doorbell to see if it would reset and start charging no luck. Gets 8 hour or direct sunlight. Waist of money should have bought a second battery.

      Please know that our solar charger, if placed in maximum sunlight exposure, can significantly prolong the battery life of your Ring doorbell and eliminate doorbell downtime due to charging. We do recommend that you charge your Ring Doorbell to 100% before installation to ensure maximum charging efficiency.

      Please also note that the charging speed varies according to sunlight exposure (direct vs. partial). Therefore, it will charge 1% of the battery every 2 to 5 hours.
