Underrated movie at the time for people who haven't read the comics of the same name sake

This movie wasn't bad but it wasn't great either. I watched the ultimate cut which is about 3 1/2 hours. I think more action would have made this one better for me.

Having recently watched the HBO series, I thought I would purchase this movie and give it another viewing. My original viewing was in theaters when it was released and I did not really understand the movie at the time. I thoroughly enjoyed this movie this time around. My viewing partner in this case seemed to have a similar experience to mine the first time through. She felt that it was unnecessarily long and difficult to stay engaged. The action scenes are gripping, but few and far between. I watched this on my Sony A9G and found the video quality to be quite impressive, however, not up to speed with some more modern films.

Great version of a killer movie. The blu ray version usto sell for big bucks, glad to get the 4K one for a reasonable price!

WATCCHMEN IN 4K.. GOOD HDR Quality, nice special features and good package overall

The story was good. The soundtrack was ok nothing memorable. Didn’t really care for the hero's except Rorschach and Dr. Manhattan. They were my favorite and only tolerable characters. I wanted to see Snyders earlier work on supes which is why I bought it. Its one of those movies you need to rewatch a couple of times to TRULY understand it. Although im sure it wont come close to Man of Steel or Batman v Superman UE. They are masterpieces and soon to come is Zack Snyders Justice League. Anyways id recommend still give it a chance.

Fantastic movie. Zack Snyder put together an absolute masterpiece and it is absolutely essential that any DC fan watches this movie. I enjoyed every minute of it.

I love this movie and to find in on sale in 4K was a buy. No slip cover but it did come with a digital download code.

Incredible visuals and scenes seemingly ripped straight from the panels of the graphic novel. Accompanying probably one of the best opening credit scene I ever seen, is a comic book movie that stays more or less faithful to the graphic novel. Some story elements are sacrificed in order to keep the movie at a reasonable run time and some story elements are changed to appeal to the modern audience. Most of the changes are welcome and understandable. Overall a really enjoyable film. The Director's Cut Steelbook unfortunately doesn't include the motion comic or The Tales of the Black Freighter like I hoped it would, but it does include Maximum Movie Mode which is a cool interactive alternative to a movie commentary. I personally think the artwork on the steelbook is just okay and could have been better.

This is one of Miss Portman's best roles and the movie is terrific, if a bit long in the tooth.

I saw this in the movie theater but I had not read the graphic novels back then. Now I am rewatching this again and It is a really awesome movie. Especially now that the HBO show is out. I have to say that I am disappointed in the 4K Ultra HD picture quality, if you pause it you will see the grainy image. However It is hard to compare this to new movies shot using new 4k cameras. The long version is LONG but that's why you are buying it! It is quite a masterpiece, great actors for each of the characters.

In an alternate reality, it's 1985, costumed superheroes are part of the fabric of everyday society, and the "Doomsday Clock" - which charts the USA's tension with the Soviet Union - is permanently set at five minutes to midnight. When one of his former colleagues is murdered, the washed-up but no less determined masked vigilante Rorschach sets out to uncover a plot to kill and discredit all past and present superheroes. As he reconnects with his former crime- fighting legion - a ragtag group of retired superheroes, only one of whom has true powers - Rorschach glimpses a wide-ranging and disturbing conspiracy with links to their shared past and catastrophic consequences for the future. Looks good in 4k classic underrated movie in my opinion.

This movie has its haters. I ain't one of them. Love it. And the ultimate cut is great.

Good movie to watch, superhero movie to see over and over, I recommend to watch the movie.
