This movie is great in 4K . The scenes are stunning to watch. Directors cut gives you chance to see more of the story.

Zach Synders adaptation of “Watchmen” is nothing short of stunning. One of the most rewarding film experiences ever.

Incredible visuals and scenes seemingly ripped straight from the panels of the graphic novel. Accompanying probably one of the best opening credit scene I ever seen, is a comic book movie that stays more or less faithful to the graphic novel. Some story elements are sacrificed in order to keep the movie at a reasonable run time and some story elements are changed to appeal to the modern audience. Most of the changes are welcome and understandable. Overall a really enjoyable film. The Director's Cut Steelbook unfortunately doesn't include the motion comic or The Tales of the Black Freighter like I hoped it would, but it does include Maximum Movie Mode which is a cool interactive alternative to a movie commentary. I personally think the artwork on the steelbook is just okay and could have been better.

I knew nothing about this picture before purchasing the Blu-ray. I bought it because the disk was an inexpensive sci-fi movie. The film takes place in a different timeline (parallel universe?) in the 1980s. In this time and dimension, the United States and the Soviet Union are on the brink of nuclear war. The principal characters are aging superheroes who were once part of a now disbanded league. All have helped the US in both battling crime and fighting in war; however, despite their beneficial deeds, they all suffer from deep character flaws. I enjoyed this movie despite its three-hour duration. The basic premise of very deeply flawed superheroes is original. Their history is told though numerous flashbacks. The action scenes are well done but are scattered throughout the film. Those who are looking for non-stop action will be disappointed. Those looking for character development and mystery are more likely to enjoy the movie.

Haven't watched this movie in years. Just as fresh and up-to-date now. Must have for your collection.

If you're looking for a movie full of suspense then take a look at Watchmen. It has a unique spin.

The ultimate is the bets way to go if you're looking for the closest experience to reading the graphic novel.

Watchman was visually impressive before, but the 4K really makes it pop. Highly recommend if your fan.

This was a well made and acted movie. They change the ending from the book but still very enjoyable.

4 stars only because you have to watch it only as ultimate cut. I had the prior version on blu-ray and was curious about the complete story. Didn’t realize that it was just adding a comic book/animated story into the existing movie. I personally didn’t get how the two stories related but the picture looked great and I was happy to have the digital copy again (and in 4K). Had a digital copy from the old days but that was lost when my laptop died as this was from the days of downloading movies to a device that only worked on that device. The cloud based digital copies is a great improvement. 5 stars on picture, 5 stars on sound, I just which it allowed you to watch movie with the ultimate parts added to the story, seeing as many of us have purchased DVD, Blu-ray, etc. Taking more and more out of our pockets. Easy enough to just skip the chapter.
