Does the job well and easy to charge and reuse. Makes a noise when it’s on a bit annoying but great price.

This unit is actually pretty small, but powerful. I’m really enjoying that it’s battery powered so that it’s not tied down to my outlet.

I use it once a day - maybe 3 mins. Worked fine until a little over a year ... then after recharging the battery it would work for like 20 secs. Tried thoroughly cleaning the contacts, resetting the battery (suggested in various places on the web - as others have the same issue), but battery problems persist.

    Ease of use is key

There are of course a lot of debates between what is the best, flossing, or water flosser, etc. But key is the ease of use and comfort - whereas flossing can sometimes be a pain, the water flosser is easy and comfortable, thus much more easier to get into a habit / not miss a day. Sure, doing both would be better but for those that are not looking for perfection (who can be?) - this will get you to good / consistent oral hygiene.

Better Dental Checkups by using daily

A water flosser was recommended by my dentist. I picked this one because it is compact and does not take up my limited bathroom counter space. It works rather well and helping to clean my teeth. It is surprising all the food particles that get washed out during use. The dentist commented this time that my teeth had much less plaque build up at this cleaning. I use it each evening before bed.

    Better than "traditional" floss

As someone who is a "normal" consumer of dental care products, floss is one of those items that really I haven't questioned when using it. Typically nowadays, I just routinely use those floss picks, which make it pretty easy to get the job done. I've never used a water flosser before in my life, but I'll be the first to admit... I was missing out. This product by Waterpik is a great for personal use. Not only can it be cordless, which allows it to be moved and conveniently placed, it is not that big, and straightforward to use. Setting it up for use took me no longer than a few minutes, which is nice as it doesn't require a lot of time. It also charges relatively fast and comes with a few different "piks" to that most people will be able to get a lot of use out of. The water tank is also removable, easy to clean, and can hold more than enough water for 1 to 2 uses. It also has many different pressure settings (1 to 10), which you can set to your liking. This is pretty useful for a person likely myself, who loves all kinds of foods that may require routine flossing - BBQ foods, popcorn, nuts, etc. After a week of using this product nightly, I can actually "feel" a bit of a difference between using this versus a floss pick. And that difference is a great difference! As a bonus, it is not too noisy, either, but that would be subjective to many. The only issue that I might foresee for some is the length of the cord of pik to the tank, which might mean you may have to position it close to your sink when in use. But for myself, this isn't an issue. Great product, Waterpik!

    Almost perfect

I've owned Waterpik products in the past and they've always performed better and lasted longer than similar off-branded models sold on Amazon or ebay. You pay more initially but I think it's worth it in the end. Ion Water Flosser pros and cons: Cons: 1. I wish it had a slightly smaller profile and a carry case for traveling and/or camping. Because the device is rechargeable, you'd almost expect this. As it is, I'll be carting it around in the box it came in. 2. About 30 seconds after startup, the motor "pips" a couple of times (it almost sounds like the motor is dying for a brief moment) to let you know that it's time to start cleaning the lower half of your mouth. 30 seconds after that, it "pips" again to let you know you're finished. I know that electric toothbrushes use this timing feature as well but I always find it annoying and don't like having my cleaning interrupted by this distraction, so I wish there was a way to turn this feature off. Furthermore, the length of time between each "pip" is only 30 seconds, which in my opinion isn't nearly long enough to clean each half of the mouth. 60 seconds for each half would be much more realistic if you really wanted a good cleaning. Pros: 1. The charged battery lasts a very long time (2 weeks to a month depending on how often it's used) so you don't have to charge it very often. Because of this, you can minimize the clutter on your countertop and go on long trips before needing to recharge. 2. The lighted power button is very accessible on top of the unit so turning it on and off is easy. 3. It's much quieter than any other water flosser I've owned. 4. The pulsating strength can be preset to the speed of your choice so you don't have to reset it each time like other water flossers I've owned have required. 5. The handle that holds the attachments is magnetized so it snaps in place in the magnetic cradle when you're finished using it. Very nice design touch! 5, Excellent warranty and customer service.

Ok but forget about the keyboard tray.

The desk is fine but it is impossible to align the keyboard tray. No matter what adjustments you make (tightening this. loosening that, repositioning) it just won't work. It's simply a horrible way to design a sliding keyboard. There needs to be some sort of crossbeam to keep everything square, front to back, so the a proper alignment is possible. Decent desk but as other have noted, there is no support for the curved section. There is no usable foot room under the curved section so some sort of leg(s) would make the desk more stable and more easily moved after assembly.

I don’t have any previous experience with WaterPix products; this is my first. I followed the instructions upon receipt and gave the unit a 5-hr charge. Unlike cell phones nowadays that are shipped without a charger, WaterPix give you both a charger and charging cable. The charging cable is proprietary and has a magnetic end that attaches itself to the side of the unit where charging contacts are located. While I dislike using proprietary cables, the magnetic contacts help avoid water intrusion that could occur when this unit is charging. Once fully charged, I followed the suggested steps of filling the water repository, selecting a tip (6 tips are provided), turning the unit on and increasing the pressure to 10. I let it run like this until the water repository was empty. Filling the repository again with warm water, I lowered the pressure to 4, placed an appropriate tip into the handle, and gave my gums a good flossing. I did increase the pressure as I went along until I found a pressure that seemed best for me. At about 30 seconds, the unit paused for a second letting me know to move the tip from my top gums to my bottom gums. It has a similar pause when the timer reaches 1 minute. While you can continue to floss with the WaterPik after a minute’s use, a minute turned out to be plenty of time for me to thoroughly floss. The unit comes with the following six tips: • Qty 1 – Orthodontic Tip (Replace every 3 months) • Qty 1 – Pix Pocket Tip (Replace every 3 months) • Qty 1 – Plaque Seeker Tip (Replace every 3 months) • Qty 2 – Classic Jet Tip (Replace every 6 months) • Qty 1 – Implant Denture Tip (Replace every 6 months) Hard water, like we have in our area, will eventually gunk up this unit. So akin to cleaning your coffee maker, every 1 – 3 months you should fill the water repository with warm water + 2 tablespoons of white vinegar and turn on the unit - emptying the water fully into your sink. Follow this by filling the repository again with just warm water and repeating the process. This should keep the unit in good working order if performed regularly. The WaterPix is a very simple to device to use and to maintain. Using string-floss my whole life, I found my mouth feeling more thoroughly cleaned after just a minute with the WaterPix. While the unit comes with six tips, the Classic Jet Tip is my daily go-to tip. Two Classic tips are provided, so one will be for my wife. This unit is rechargeable, and the documentation says to recharge it every 3-4 weeks if you use it once a day or less. If you use it more often, you’ll need to recharge it more often. The WaterPix is not a sophisticated device, and for what it does, it does it fine and probably warrants a 5-star review. However, I felt that a storage holder for the various tips was sorely lacking. Seriously, add $5 to the overall price and provide a storage holder to keep the tips safe whether at home or during travel. As such, I’m giving this unit a 4-star review.
